Here we are girls!!!  Had a great lunch, thank you Trish!  It was so yummy!  Oh, Finn is adorable and slobbered all over me........lol.......Bo is beautiful and such a gentle dog.  I had such a lovely time I can't wait to come back and do it all over again!

J, sorry I can't help with your question as I didn't have recon but a few others have so hopefully they will pop in soon.

Aussie I sure hope what you have is just a bug that has already decided to leave your system!

    Love n hugs all!    Chrissy

Sorry J, my recon was an autologous recon using my own abdominal fat and skin. Recovery was 9 days in hospital for me but I understand implants are a little easier in terms of recovery.

    Hi all

Luckily it was just a 24 hour bug, I went to work today, didn't feel 100% but managed to get through the day.

I had my implant put in last December, my recovery was quicker than when my expander went in. The implant is a lot more comfortable, I had 3 weeks off work with 1 week being in hospital as my drain was too high and they wouldn't let me out until it went down.

    Great photo Chrissy and Trish.

Hope you all have a great weekend, a long one here in WA, Labour day holiday on Monday.

Oh Trish, some answers at last. At least you have a platform to work from now.  I loved the photo of you and Chrissy. It was lovely you could catch up.

My 20 yo sons scans came back. It looks like it is a cyst which is great news. But the fact it is growing still needs investigation.  Big sigh of relief. Thank you for all your good wishes.

It was lovely to catch up with Chrissy, even though Finn wanted to slobber all over her almost the whole time.  I don't think we stopped talking for about four hours.

Once Chrissy left I had to get ready to photograph another wedding.  Got home around 8.30 last night absolutely buggered lol.  My back hasn't ached that bad for a long time. But it was a delightful wedding and the bride and groom were so happy and relaxed (it was their second time around) and they were such a happy couple.

Relaxing today, at least my back doesn't ache at the moment lol.

Awesome photo you two , Thrish and Chrissy, i  saved it into my pics.   i went and helpedfeeding the animals today. feeding the  greens out, they get milk and the dairy products and deli stuff, , and one of the stores has renovations and one of the builders accidently forgot tho plug the freezer and all the  food  like  hot dog allwent to waste  we got it and some of it the pigs cant eat, uncooked meat,  but my lot here, i thought they would of scoffed the fish, the cats, they turned there nose up and  gave me a dirty look. the dogs ate it, ie  the big ones, my two small likeheidi  stuck nose up at it, and the gormet beef patties that also went out. fussy little brats.  we have a chiller at the farm, so some of it is in there and the stray cats  get a good feed out there, so its feeding something, they feed all the cats.  hubby  does not like to see hungry animals. they get the budget stuff, but its food.

Carol, glad you are ok now, darn bugs.

i went to DR other day, well the the diabetic doc and thyroid, that is much better, but the sugar has gone haywire. they are wondering taking me off the tamoxifen has sort of  upset things little, as i have been waking up with horrible headaches, they go, but the sugar is not good. 60, it should be under 50, also that coconut oil, that my family have told me  wont hurt me, is a saurated fat., he  said, my family are trying to help, but he has the blood results in front of him and is going to see about a diatician seeing me. or i will end up on insulin and i dont want to have  inject myself.  he does not think it can reverse now.  but apart  from  that,am ok and he hopes now that Dr claire can find a pill or a solution so i dont get BC back as i have no protection.  chrissy he said Lupron would not   be   good as the thyrod will play up and the diabetes, if i was normal, it would be ok.  i am very compicated with having no thyroid gland, he cant find another person  living with my condition,he said,  i am a walking miracle. lol  very unique. i should be a world record.

Trish, glad you gettting answers to your probs,  glad you had  a super time with chrissy.. chrissy would loved the dogs.

Kylie,  very happy about your boy,  what a relief at  this stage, but yea, they need to get on top of it and find out.  great news though. ThumbsUp

chrissy,  are you home yet? if not please drive safely.

lol. smarty pants husband, unfortuanately it  was a toffee nosed vet,  but  bil dog and our snoopy have a rash and  he run out of the cream to treat it and i lost snoopys, so  hubby went and asked for more and our vet  we like would of laughed her head  off, but this vet asked, if the dog was up to date with his flees, hubby said,  yea he has plenty of them lol. she said   i was referring to the treatment, well everybody round  laughed, the receptionists as well, but she kind of did a grin, but remained kind of serious about it all, lol even the other people  in waiting room laughed.he was so quick with his answer. lol some people sre stiff and  starchy. Catch ya's. later. dear ladies.

Is anyone entering this year's Mother's Day Classic fun run in Sydney?  Yes, I am attempting it again this year and have just finished week 2 of training for the 4 Km run......and so far so good Happy

Last year, due to a hip injury about 4 weeks prior to the event, I could only run/ walk the event and I raised about $400 for breast cancer research.

This year I'm planning to do better on both counts!  I want to run the whole course and raise over $500.   If anyone is participating in any of the events it would be good to know know.

I'm home!!! Woohoo!!!! .....lol......now for a couple of days relaxing to get over the driving before getting back to routine.   I really did enjoy my time with my brother and his family and I loved catching up with Trish again but as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz said, 'there's no place like home'.

Tammy you go girl! I'll sponsor you as well but you have to remind me when and where I need to pay.

Trash, glad the wedding went well......it's always a good sign when the bride and groom are really relaxed.

Well, I need a cup of tea and a good sleep so I'll catch you all tomorrow.

Glad you are home safe and well Chrissy - love the new avatar btw SillyHeart

We had some time down at work yesterday as computer maintenance was being carried out, and work provided a morning tea for us.  I was silly enough to decide that I could have that half sausage roll and slice.  Boy did I pay for it.  Felt really unwell within half an hour, and so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open. I think I'm still sort of in denial until I see the gastro guy on Friday.  Until he actually says the words to me "you are a celiac"  I keep trying to tell myself I can have all these things.  Yesterday really opened my eyes though, I haven't been that unwell for a long time.

Sigh ... so from today I'm saying goodbye to all gluten. Scared

Hope everyone else is travelling ok?

Annette - are you getting your sugar levels under control now?  A good reminder to you, not to listen to what your family tells you is ok for you and maybe do some research yourself on diabetic diets.  Just type diabetic diets into google and you'll get lots of ideas.  Probably make sure you are looking at reliable sites though - like a diabetes organisation.

Hi Trish. i went to gym yesterday and they do your  blood sugars when you sign in and it was 13.2, and  after the training and exersise was done, it was 8.7, so dropped alot and the BP was 124/70 when i left and was 136/88 when i got there. so its shows that  exersise does make a difference.  the Blood sugars were high lately, but as the  thyroid and diabetic, he does both. said,  taking me off the tamoxifen suddenly has upset the system and when i  either go on something else or what ever is best, i am still thinking along lines of  hysterectomy as any new pill is going to upset the system again, esp thyroid, its good now and getting back to where they want it or where the body is happy  with the doseage, he is leaving it well alone at thie point.

I have been looking at food on the websites. and different combinations. but he will get me a person to help me to learn about diabetic food. Thank you Trish.

Annette, even if you have a hyster, you probably will end up on an AI (Aromatose Inhibitor) so you should still be taking a pill, just one for post menopausal women.  So - you'll still have to sort out issues.

It's good that the exercise is helping though - that's a big difference.

That is the whole thing, i am still very pre-menopause according to the bloods i have had done, and the one  they could put me on is not good for diabetes and will upset the thyroid greatly. its that lupron, injections. to shut ovaries down  and they have to be careful not to start another issue off she said, they are trying to find something that will blend in with my current situation as the one she thought about is for post menopause. i am such a complicated being and it must be hard for them to find a happy medium, if i was post menopause. i would not have a problem, not as  complicated, anyway  looks like i will be a late menopause. my sis was as well. she started at 56, she 59 now and stil not over menopause properly. i think they will force the issue by doing the op to go into it so i can have an AL. thats what he was talking about.  but three months i should be ok to be left with out something. so i am just waiting---- for  the next lot of happenings.  i do get sick of the hospital and dr visits at times and this week i  just want to chill out and do other things. Flaming hormones.  lol,  thanks trish for your help. ThumbsUp

Annette I hope you can get something sorted.  I am on zolodex, same as lupron, and it definitely has its own set of problems.

Trish, there is an app for celiacs which is apparently fantastic.

Tammy, I would love to sponsor you. Just let me know how and when. X

Yes Kylie. i am abit hesitant with these pills, but have to do something. thank you. for your care.

Well i had a busy week, getting animals to the works, we took  13 pigs to the sale and brought 13 home again, prices are pathetic, 120 dollar pigs and the top prices are 65 bucks. (take a hike).  we may sell direct to the works, if they dont sell well somewhere else, give another sale a go. but that is a long way to take them if they do no good. up in Hamilton in frankton.

The next day we got  62 sheep, ewes and  lambs to works and we  must of chased the ones  at BIL's place around the paddock about 20 times and  one knocked me over and have a big graze above my elbow. thought i had broken it ,as it  ran over me and put its  foot on my arm. he did not go. he  is a ram and they dont like rams at the works the buyer said, but i am going to ask. those two ugly bulls will be going  soon to. he sits there and glares at you and his front  foot starts scraping up the ground.  he is creepy. everybody is scared of it but we trying to find a way to yard them it up.  he is about  800 kgs worth and the one bigger than him was standing directly behind Ron the other day when  they were getting there peas fed out and ron patted him on the nose and he  walked off. i still would  not trust the sod. they love the peas, dried with palm kernel..  so  i am recovering from my hectic  week. My body is not that resiliant to chasing animals now. i tire pretty quickly.

Hope you other ladies are ok. take care Annette

    Hello all

I went to the gastroenerologist yesterday, and he's not convinced I have Celiac disease.  I have to do the blood test now, and eat as much gluten as I can tolerate over the next two weeks before having it. He thinks it is more likely to be irritable bowel syndrome, and that could be the cause of my lower abdominal pain. So - I'm eating gluten again, and then have the blood test, and then go on a low FODMAP diet, which limits gluten anyway, and see how I am in three months time.

I see the onc in two weeks too, so have to give him all this info, and see what he makes of it all lol.

Apart from that, all is going well.  I can't remember if I told you all last week that our new pet photography business has hit a "minor" hump. "The Puparazzi" has been trademarked by another pet photography business that started in Melbourne, so we are unable to use it anymore.  I'm not sure if I'm more annoyed at myself for not thinking to trademark it, or the business for doing it and doing me out of our name.  We've come up with a new name, and have set the process of trademarking it in place, and I met with a lovely graphic designer this morning to start designing our new logo, so onward and upward.  Once the trademark is official, I'll let you all know our new pet photography name.  It's not quite as good, but still pretty good lol.  Actually, the business name will be "The Pet Photographer" (which can't be trademarked as it's too generic) but the tagline is pretty good, and that's what we are trademarking.  All very complicated lol.

I hope you are all going well.  We are about to have a huge thunderstorm here, so I guess I'd better close the computer down for a while.

    Stay well everyone

    Trish

    Hi all

I had some sad news today, my friends Son died last night. Yesterday at 12pm he was diagnosed with cancer at 5pm they told him they could do nothing for him and then at 11.30 pm he passed away. Not sure what cancer he had but it must have been everywhere, he was only 34.

Oh Carol I'm so sorry!  How very sad for your friend, I'm sure she is shattered as you sound also.

That boy, for boy he was, must have been sick for sometime to pass that quickly and it's possible that it was pancreatic cancer as there is not much they can do for that even if found early.

    What a shock!  (((((((hugs)))))))

Trish more messing around?!  OMG!!!  I sure hope it gets sorted soon as this has been going on for way too long.

For those who aren't on FB, Karen's grandson has arrived!  Yay!!!  All's well with mum, bub and grandma.

It's been a bit quiet since I got home from Canberra, just pottering other than doing some food shopping as my cupboards and fridge were bare.........oh yes! and a few loads of washing as hubby didn't do any while I was gone.  Thank goodness he had enough to get him through!

I have decided that it's time for a new bed!.......I slept so much better on my camp bed while I was away than I have since I got home.......I'm waking in the morning with so much stiffness and pain and I'm sure it's because my mattress is way too hard.  The camp bed has an air mattress that I didn't fully inflate and it was soooo comfy........I think I need a softer bed so the search is on to find what I need for a price I'm willing to pay.

    Enjoy your Sunday all!

    Love n hugs.    Chrissy

((((((Carol)))))))). It is so hard to lose someone so young. Heard of another young man of similar age dying a couple of days ago. Friend's nephew. It is just too young.

Chrissy there are some wonderful beds around. Ours has thick soft top which is wonderful and memory springs.

Trisha hope you get your pet photography sorted - what a pain. We are quite knowledgeable about the fodmap as DD2 has severe IBS and has since a very wee girl.she deals with it quite well but will follow the fodmap if she has a bad attack. She is sensitive to wheat not to gluten and to all sorts of things like legumes and high fibre. Made feeding her as a child difficult.

Had really bad night with RA flare, still don't have pain under control but we will get there.

hope you are all having a good weekend

Congratulations to Karen on being a new grandma! Yay!

Carol, that's such a sad story - it's incredible that it was so quick, and such a young man.

Aly - hope your RA is easing up a bit now?

Chrissy - a word of warning about beds with "soft tops". I have a friend who bought one (and it was a very expensive one, she's the sort of person who only buys the best lol).  She raved about it for the first 18 months or so. Then she got rid of it after about 2 years and vowed never to buy another one. Apparently the soft top part went all lumpy. If it was down to a warranty issue it would have been fixed, but she said she was told it's quite common.  So make sure you do your homework before you buy one.  You'll also have to buy new bottom sheets for it as your old ones won't fit.

I've been on lactose free milk all weekend, and haven't had any pain for that time ... hmmmm ... wonder if it's that simple lol.  I can go a few days without pain, so just crossing my fingers Smile

    Trish
