Hi goils!! Other than feeling tired I'm doing really well..........well enough to get my marching orders and I'm out of here and on my way home in the morning! .........woohoo!
I know it's still going to be a few weeks before I'm feeling my usual self. ........as opposed to my unusual self..lol........but my hubby has told me already what I'm allowed to do and what he will do for me. It seems that my only job for now is cooking his dinner.......lol.......I think I can manage that.
Anyway, really looking forward to seeing him in the morning and heading out the big front doors.
Hope you are all doing well.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Yay I'm home!!!! I think I felt every bump and undulation in the road between the hospital and home but thank goodness for endone, it at least made each one a little more bearable.
I'm very fatigued but otherwise okay. Soooo looking forward to getting into my own bed tonight. 😊
Love n hugs all! Chrissy

Awesome an Aussie board!
I put my extremely long thesis of what is happening currently in the not diagnosed but worried thread but in a nut shell I have 2 lumps in the left breast, one invisible to the ultrasound and the othee is 1cm, possible complicated cyst but recommend biopsy. Instead my surgeon is just taking both out to be safe.
I have a complicated medical history and 5 years ago diagnosed with inductal papillomas that where not removed so doc just wants them out.
I've gotten a great wealth of information from BCO and reading others symptoms etc. Has given me the courage to ensure this is all taken seriously and not brushed off as dense breasts and my fibromyalgia.
Hope everyone is dry and warm today in what seems like a cold day in most of Oz. Definitely here in Melbourne.

Hi mirawitch! Welcome to BCO and to the Aussie group! Glad you found this site as it can give you an enormous amount of information and help to make decisions a lot easier because of it.
Sounds like your surgeon is very sensible in skipping the biopsy part and just removing the lumps.......less surgery overall which is always a good thing. Hopefully the pathology on them will be better than you think.
Yep, we've had the freezing wet weather over in SA as well but luckily for me, I was watching it all from a hospital bed so was always toasty warm......lol. Today is fine and sunny although the air is still chilly. I had a lovely surprise as I looked out of my bedroom window this morning, the almond tree is covered with buds so spring is not too far away.....yay!!!! I shall be watching them get fatter and fatter as the days go by until finally one will burst officially ushering in the finest but coldest part of the winter and heralding Spring........can't wait!!!
Trish, any word on the job interview yet? I've got everything crossed that the news will be all good. Was that a photo of Finn you put on FB? Gorgeous!!
Donna how are you faring now?
Hope all you girls are doing well.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Welcome Mirawitch! I'm in Canberra and it's been freezing here too! So when will you be having the lumps out?
Chrissy - no news on the interview yet - they did say it would take a couple of weeks ... sigh ... so I'm sitting patiently waiting ... well as patiently as I can lol. Yes it was Finn - he's a gorgeous boy.
How are you feeling now you are home? Did you end up with bad pain in the shoulders?
Donna! Good to hear from you - how are you going?
Trish

I was waiting for it Trish but it didn't arrive........lol........all I can put that down to is the fact I was farting like a cannon from the minute I woke up and when I wasn't farting I was burping so guessing the gas got let out before it caused too much trouble. Happy about that though. Pretty tired and not up to doing much but I'm guessing that will pass with time........I've been told I should be feeling okay in about four weeks and totally over it in about three months........sounds good to me!
Thought that was the beautiful Finn! How could it be anyone else!? He is such a beautiful boy and you have captured him perfectly!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

I love hearing how everyone is going.
Chrissy I laughed when I read your post. Better out than in. Hope you feel stronger each day.
Trish I hope you get some good news on the job front soon.
Mira sorry you had to join us but glad to meet you. Welcome.
I have had a throat infection and am taking antibiotics but apart from that I have been feeling pretty good. Some muscle and joint pain but nothing like it was before I changed brands.
Still find I tire easily but the fatigue is lessening and I'm achieving more every day.
I used to be asleep on the lounge by 8pm but now I can last 'til about 9.30.
We are heading to our son's for the weekend. It's our Grandson's 1st Birthday on Saturday.
So looking forward to some precious time with our kids and grandkids.
Hasn't been a cold winter here at all. We have had some really warm days. A 28 and a 29 last week.
Quite a few mornings around 1 deg but the days are mostly nice.
Thinking of you all and sending love and light. Stay warm. Donna.

Chrissy, I had a laugh too! Sounds like you're doing OK.
Mirawitch, welcome! I hope all goes well with your pathology.
Donna, sounds like an improvement, Ihope it continues!

Hi all
Looks like everyone is busy as no one has posted for a while.
I'll be glad when I get my stoma reversed in October. The last 2 days I've gone out to shopping centres and both days my stoma has gone stupid and leaked out all over me. I've had to run to the disabled toilet and clean up the mess and change my bag. The last week it's been very much like diahrea which I don't normally have. At the time it's not very nice but I have to laugh about it after
Hope that everyone is well.
Carol

Hey Carol, oh dear you poor thing having that happen in the shopping centre! So glad you carry a fresh bag with you. Good to hear that your reversal is in October........not too far off now and those weeks will go so fast it will be here before you know it. Good that you can see the funny side of it all........lol.
Well girls, I opened my shop last Friday.......finally! Quite a few people through but only one sale so far but that's okay. I'm still making the dream catchers but there a few to display now ready for next Friday. My opening days are Friday through Monday 10.30am - 3.30pm. Not too long but long enough.
We really must start getting this Melbourne get together or it's just not going to happen! I need a list of who is coming so I can get some accommodation booked..........and I need to know who is up for sharing if necessary and who is not. I know Racy likes her own room but not sure about anyone else.
Well it's getting late and I've had a busy few days.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

I'm really looking forward to Melbourne and meeting up with old and new friends!
Chrissy, can you remind us of the date please
0 -
Hi Tammy, not sure yet as Trish can't make the last weekend so have to check and see if there is another that would work or not........leave it with me and I'll get back to you.
0 -
Oh Carol, that would have been awful - I know my brother hated it when that sort of thing happened to him too xoxo
Sorry, I haven't been on here for a little while, life is getting busy. No work as yet, which is a worry, but I've been doing aqua aerobics, and lots of walking. Still doing some photography, which takes care of my mobile phone bill each month and my business insurances lol. Hopefully something will turn up soon.
I definitely can't make Melbourne on the last weekend in November, as I have Santa Pet photography starting that weekend. If I don't get a job soon, there's no way I'll be able to afford it anyway, we are down to the last of our money now. Newstart and the pension help a lot, but isn't quite enough. If I get a job, and can come, I could only make it on the weekends starting Friday 11 December or Friday 18 December. But I can't promise I'll be able to afford it.
I hope you are all travelling well. I feel amazingly good!
Love to you all
Trish

Hi Trish, I hope things start to look up for you on the job front. Glad to hear your travelling well😄
Any of those dates works for me! It will be wonderful to catch up if possible!
Carol, October isn't too far away now (((hugs))) I hope your journey gets a little easier.

Hi all
I had the hospital ring up today and my reversal surgery is on the 5th October. I 'll stay in hospital for about 10 days as it's major surgery and you have to gradually eat over that time. I will find out tomorrow how much holiday's I have as I need at least 6 weeks off. Here we go again with another surgery.
I had to have a few days off work last week as I had a bad flu. I only just finished a cold that I had for a month !!!
Hope that everyone is well
Carol

Wow Carol! That date will be here before you know it! I sure hope you don't have any problems with work as this is not an elective thing but a continuation of your cancer treatment. It's never good to have to face another major surgery but this one means the end of an era of treatment and once done you can concentrate of getting back to normal everyday things.
Keeping everything crossed for you.
Well my shop is open, it's been quiet but I was expecting that........having said that, I have been at least making rent and my biggest seller so far are the cards I printed with my photography of the local countryside. Today it was suggested that I make some larger prints and have them for sale also.......something worth thinking about.
I had my check up with my gynae last week and have been given the all clear........he was really surprised at how well I had healed and how fast I had returned to near normal.
OK goils, we need to start getting numbers for the get together........I'm happy with 11th December on the off chance that Trish can join us but the next date is no good for me.
So as of right now for the 11th is Trish? Tammy and myself.....anyone else?
Take care all! Love n hugs. Chrissy

Carol, it's so good that you have a date for reversal! Not good you've been sick though. I've been lucky so far and missed out on the flu, I had a bad cold a while ago, but got over it ok.
Yay Chrissy! Good to hear you are selling cards :-) I have the perfect place for you to order prints from if you are going to do that. I'm flat out at the moment (I've been photographing pets and kitchens lol and lots of processing) but I'll give you a call soon and tell you about the best place to get prints done.
Still looking for work, haven't heard back from any of the gvt ones as yet, but they do tend to take their time, at least I have a little bit of income from photography at the moment.
I'm still exercising a fair bit and feeling fabulous! My hair is really growing back too, I no longer look anything like a cancer patient, and I'm pretty happy about that.
Love to you allTrish

Hi everyone, just doing a catch-up read.
I feel a bit like I have fallen down the rabbit hole lately, it has been a crappy year for my kids.
Donna, I live at Chittaway Bay, nice and central. I am not from the Central Coast, but we like it ☺
Chrissy I hope your recovery is still going well. And yay for the shop being up and running,
Trish, fingers crossed on the job front. How are you feeling? Physically has the 2nd dose of chemo knocked you around? I can only imagine that it would have a cumulative effect.
Lots of hugs to everyone, Kylie xx

I got a job! It's a six month contract with the Department of Agriculture, and after meeting my boss at the interview I think I'll love working there.
I'm not sure if I told you all that halfway through chemo when things were not going well, my BFF in Wollongong was talking to me on the phone. Her husband is a keen skiier and loves to ski each year, but Jacqui hates it and usually spends her time sitting in a coffee shop waiting for him to get off the slopes. He suggested taking me with them to Queenstown in New Zealand this year as a celebration that I've finished chemo and for us to have a week of girly time together. It did lift me a bit at the time at their generosity. Well leaving on Sunday and now I'm starting to get excited, it will be so good to spend time with someone I've known and loved for more than 46 years - she's more like a sister and we don't get to spend a lot of time together.
Kylie - lovely to hear from you. I'm feeling really really good. I think this second lot of chemo has knocked me around more, but I've been going to aqua aerobics classes and doing a lot of walking, and I think it's helping a lot. Physically I feel better than I have for a long time. Emotionally, actually I'm fine there too. I've faced it, and come through the other side. I know I have a high risk now, higher than before, but I refuse to let it get to me. I'm enjoying being healthy now and if anything comes up later, then I'll deal with it then. Hopefully I'll never have to deal with it again.
Love to you all
Trish
