Lago - great tutorial.  Maybe it will inspire me to try again.  Being a luddite, I gave up even trying to look at the photo site after authorization and certainly never posted.  Thanks.

Minus Two- I had to go and check what the definition of luddite was before posting.  I just discovered that, I too, am a luddite.  I encourage you to go back and take another crack at the photo site because Lago (thanks again, Lago!), was able to help me get on there.

I will have to check out the tutorial as well.  Have gotten on the photo site a few times but find it hard to get around in.

bhd before I was a 34 A/B and wore size 4 tops, sometimes 6. Now that I'm a 34D I stick with the 6 and small. No more XS tops for me. Granted when I was a 34 A/B I wore bras with a little more padding.

No one would say I was huge. I'm fuller than the gal in the first post but don't project more. There is a difference though between a 32D and a 34D. The cup is actually bigger as you go up in band size. Lots of women don't understand that.

My exchange is scheduled for 6/19. I am very excited, but nervous about size. I'm 36dd on good side, but want to downsize. I can't decide if I should go a C or a B cup. I'm not sure I can even go a C because I had rads and a lot of skin taken and they had to stop filling because it was so tight. I have 650 cc's. I'd like to have my mind made up when I go for pre op in may. Can I see the picture forum?

BHD - try Nordstroms and Nordstroms rack.  I have no trouble finding 32Ds and DDs there.  Also try TJMaxx and Marshalls...they frequently have 32Ds as well.  I never pay full price.  If all else fails, once you find a brand you like, there are plenty of online stores for us smaller girls.  Or even Ebay!

There are so many posts here it is overwhelming ...Here are my questions/comments..I had BMX 3/20 with TE. I was a pretty full 36D and I am looking forward to being a C. I came out of my surgery with 300cc, then my PS added 20cc, and an addtional 30cc..So I'm up to 350cc's now. I am a C now and she wants to expand me again. I really do not want to be a D again. (It's so nice to be able to buy a regualr bathingsuit top without needing a D cup!) She says she likes to over expand so the sisters will drop a little after the exchange and look more natural. Two questions? Feedback? and I know nothing about the different types of implants? The TE are rock hard though! Hope it feels better with the new ones!

tracey my PS overfilled to achive ptosis (drop) as well. It gives a more natural look. This is very typical. My TEs were much bigger, higher and of course harder than my implants. Your PS will do her best to get you the size you want but you need to let her know what that is. They don't really under stand cup size requests. I'm currently now a 34D (was a 34 A/B) I wanted to go bigger. But a 34D is smaller than your former 36D because cup size changes with band size.

Here is a good basic explaination of the different types of implants: linky

If you are talking about sizes/profiles that really depends on what is right for you and your body type.

t43179 you can PM nowheregirl. Granted you have to be posting here for a while before she will let you in. It's a very secure site. It can take her a while to get back to you too. She lives in Asia so different time zone. Also she does this on her own time. She does have a full time job.

Whippetmom may also know who else you can contact for the "key"

Thanks lago!  I have been following for a few months since surgery but joined today to ask questions.  I would love to see pics of women who are my size and received same size implants.

tracey-go to the exchange city thread or pm whippetmom. She is really helpful in making sure you get the look you want. You give her all your stats and she will come back with figures on what is likely to work best for you.

Sherry-if you never intend to wear a bra again, think twice about nipples. I just had mine done a month ago, and while I can skip a bra with heavier stuff, most things will require some type of covering. Not that I mind, as they look really good. And the bras that I am wearing are comfortable. I was a 36 D also, and wanted to be much smaller. I am now a full B, small C.

fluffqueen i actually had nipple sparing and they both made it.  I have silicone nipple shields left over from rads and they work pretty good so will probably wear them instead of a bra.

I only needed 2 fills to get to 600cc. I had a previous breast lift with implants before my MX so I assume my muscle was stretched already, and I was a DD so I had lots of skin. I think right now I am a large C and that's exactly what I want. PS said we can put a smaller implant and do another lift an the other breast. How long do they usually wait to do the exchange? I can't wait!

mooleen, wondering about your stats and if they are similar to mine.  I am 5'6'' and weigh 145.  My PS wants to fill me to 500 cc's. ( I am now filled to 250 cc's)  Don't know what he plans for size of implant but he is WELL aware I want to be small.  I was 38DD before BMX and I am thoroughly enjoying fitting into clothes now! I feel like it has taken 15 pounds off of me. My GF has augmentation and her implants are 450 cc's.  I think they are HUGE and I will throw one fine fit if I am even close to being that large.  Thanks so much and much good luck to you on your exchange!

I am 5 '6" and am 157 lbs. I wear a size 8. I think I have heavy bones. I also had gastric bypass 8 years ago and lost 110 lbs, so I have a lot of excess skin. That is why 5 years ago I had a tummy tuck and breast lift with implants. I wanted to be a full C but ended up a DD.

The PS said yesterday he would overfill and said to let him know when I am at the size I want. Right now I am about equal to the other side, so if I want to go smaller, I am probably at the right place now. They look funny as they need to fill out in the front, but I assume the permanent implant will take care of that. I think from what I have read here, it also depends on the width of the TE that was put in. The one he used on me can hold 800 cc. Talk to whipplemom as she is a wealth of information. Do you know the model no. of your TE?

Chawkins you can't compare augmentation to reconstruction. Remember augmented breasts also have breast tissue so the same implant is going to be much bigger on an augmented person no matter how small they were to start. I currently wear a 34D and look like the gal in the photo. My implants are style 15 allergen naturelle 397cc. A 34D cup is probably smaller than you want to go because a 38C is a bigger cup than a 34D.

I guess my point is that on different bodies implants look different. Also that specifying a cup size is hard for a PS because depending on your band size and the manufacturer size is variable. BTW my PS said I would be a large B or full C.  Projection wise he's probably correct but my implants are wide (moderate profile) and need the D support.

BTW I'm 5'6" and weight is usually 130lbs. I put on 7 since January.

Thanks Lago and Mooleen!  I just want to wear a size 10 top to match my size 8 or 10 bottom.  Before MX I shopped the 12-14 or ex-large.  I am now filled to 250 cc's and I would be happy to stop but my DH, best GF's and PS have said more. PS said he has never used implants as small as I am now.  I bought a bottle of pinot noir for PS with the label Le Petit Cleavage!!!  LOL  He knows what I want and I think he will deliver.  Just trying to get my bearings with all this.  I will get another fill a week from Friday and will insist on no more than 50-60 ccs that time.  I've had some terrible spasms since he filled me with 90 ccs last Friday.  Will find out specs on my TE then and ask you all (and Whippetmom) again for advice.  Thanks so much again!

Hi all, I love this thread, have read a lot of pages but may have missed the answer to my question. I had my exchange last Wednesday and I don't know whether or when to start wearing a bra. I don want my new girls to migrate as they are well placed at present but I have had bilateral sub mammary incisions so a bra will be v uncomfortable. I am V petite and the implants are not huge (about the size of the lady inthe photo I think). Another thread suggested that we should wear a bra immediately after exchange. Any thoughts??

Today I had my third fill and am at 660cc. My target is 720cc, so hopefully will only have one more fill. My bra size was 36 DD and I told the Dr I want to be smaller. He said they overfill so you have natural droop. It is funny, but now my foob is larger than my native breast. Might have to stuff it so they are even LOL. I continue to be amazed at this whole process.

annicemd not sure I have had two fills and had the second one PS told me I will never have to wear a bra again unless I want to.  So not sure if he will have me wear one temporarily after exchange or not.  But i will sure ask at my next fill.  I am hopeing not because I am enjoying being free of the bra

Annicemd this is something you need to ask your PS. They are all different. Mine sent me home with an always there bra with no seams or underwire. One of those training bra type things. He feels that wearing something tight can cut off the blood supply that you need for healing. His nurse said he goes back and forth on this so this isn't a rule cut in stone.

I look similar to the gal in the photo and I wear a 34D just like her.

Weighing in here - I was a double D when I first had my left breast removed back in 1999 - remember back then, there was no insurance coverage for reconstruction - I had to secure a PS and breast surgeon on my own and scheduling was a nightmare to get the both of them available at the same time - it took from April until June to have the surgery - I had an expander implanted and off I went.  Sadly, due to complications of massive lymph fluid buildup (I was being drained almost every week for months of 400-750 milliters), until the thin skin finally burst - the completion of the reconstruction was not possible so I lived with an external prosthetic and a very ugly scar for 10 1/2 years until I was diagnosed with mets to the spine.  The expander was attempted to be filled but it leaked thus leaving the 'pocket' for the implant only able to accommodate a B cup implant.  I was thrilled!  I was finally going to get the reconstruction completed.  The expander had to come out in order to perform MRI's to guide the bone biopsy.  Well, I wanted to be 'even' so I elected to have breast reduction done on the right double D breast - I had lived with the 'big boobs' for long enough - the thought of being able to button shirts, have my shoulders no longer have the indents from the weight of 'holding up' the now sagging huge boobs and being able to no longer wear a huge, uncomfortable bra - and the most thrilling of all - I can shop at Victoria Secrets for pretty bras and toss out the white, ugly, wide strapped things!

The long and short of it, no matter the reason - I am absolutely thrilled with the choice to go smaller and trust me, your shoulders will love you again!  I have a new issue, however, a rather funny one - when I started this new journey with mets, I started at a very unhealthy 203 pounds.  During the course of the first 2 years, a small change in my diet allowed me to get down to 157 pounds - my joints loved me again!  Of course, with this nasty disease, it reared its ugly head in August of 2011 with an additional spread to my abdominal wall - not any organ involvement but I was again building fluid - ER here I come!  After draining 3 1/2 liters of fluid from the plurel effusion that tested positive for breast cancer, a new chapter in the book of living with metastatic breast cancer began - after 8 days in the hospital, I was released, heavily medicated (that is another horror story so lets stick with the boobs), I then lost 22 pounds in a week and 1/2 and an addition 17 pounds over a 2 week period - not healthy but the result was my breast reduction - breasts being mostly flat - has now shrunk to an A cup at best...LOL.  Once again, I am uneven so soon I will be back at the PS to have the remaining breast tissue removed from the right breast and the same size B implant placed in the right breast area.  I think that no matter what comes next - after almost 15 years living with breast cancer I will finally - and for the remainder of my life - have a fully matched set of wonderful B cup boobies!

Oh, and the diagnosis from the new abdominal mets - a very uncommon spread.  I had a 'back attack' prior to the onset of the weird symtoms - just three weeks ago, I finally put it together - my vertibra collapsed causing a fracture, allowing the 'breast mets' to escape and since the collapse broke inward creating a permanent deformity in scoliosis back to front, the cells imbeded in the abdominal wall causing aceties that blocked all fluid from exiting.  This condition does not respond to traditional sestemic chemo and after only 2 rounds of Abraxane with no effect, I was switched to Xeloda and Avastin - a combination that proved extemely effective.  With my hemoglobin in the gutter at between 6 and 7, two blood transfusions and monthly infusions of Arinesp (sp), I pleased to report that my last two blood tests have shown my hemoglobin at 12 and 12.2 respectively!  Tumor markers are continually dropping and the latest scan from Monday a week ago show continued reduction, while slight, I am on the right road to getting the new mets under control and my bone mets continues to be stable!  Woo-hoo!  The best option once the reduction has reached a certain point, is to surgically remove the remaining spots in the abdominal wall and the undefined areas on the outside of the organs and if successful, it can actually rid me completely of this uncommon spread of mets!  I was going to discuss this at my last appointment but I decided to wait since things are still reducing - when it reaches a point of 'no change' (good news), then I intend to explore the surgical option.  It took a bunch of research to find any information at all on this unusual form of mets but I finally found a study that addressed the issue and so far, it has followed almost exactly the gals in the study - the one group opted for traditional treatment and survived for an average of 11 years (great) but the group that opted for traditional treatment with targeted therapies and the surgical option have survived with no evidence of disease in the abdominal cavity.  They continue to treat with targeted therapies to assure there will be no recurrence.  This gives me such hope!  Sorry for the wordy post - the B cup debate was just the beginning of my road to attaining a quality of life that made me keep fighting to LIVE - really live with metastatic breast cancer!

I wish you well and hope to never see you on the stage iv forum!

    Hugs...LowRider

I got boob greed for sure Vicky!  Somedays I wish I was bigger but I realize I wish I had more projection and natural movement - I dont really want a larger bra size.  I would surely have regretted going with my initial choice of size.
