I bought the cabinet on eBay. They have one that has both sides that go up as well. I like the idea that you can spread out when you need to and condense when you don't.

I have found other sites with them since, all around the same price. They can be a bear to put together though. At one point a second set of hands was necessary.

I had a pretty productive day yesterday. I decided to start the jacket for the wedding gown because FDIL had the rest of the fabric for the bridesmaid dresses. I had it completed except for the hem in the sleeves by the time she finally got here. The rhinestones I ordered to put on the skirt of the bridal gown arrived yesterday so after I pinned the pattern on the fabric of a maid's dress and got FDIL cutting it out, I started removing part of each applique on the gown and putting the rhinestones on. Measured the final bridesmaid and cut out that dress. I feel like I I made a couple of steps forward.

A couple if steps forward?! I'd be saying more like a mile down the road......... Girl you move so fast you're like a lightening flash......lol. Good on you for getting so much done.

After church today I will start sewing the maids dresses. I think I will have FDIL cook dinner for us while I sew. I will feel so much better when all four dresses are done. The gown is completed on the front, the rhinestones need to be "installed" on the back and train. There were 48 appliques which needed to be revamped!

Meece you FDIL's dress sounds lovely and the revamping you are doing will make it spectacular! I wouldn't mind a sneak peak when you are done......if that's allowed..... I promise I won't give any secrets away......lol.

I have been taking some "stage" pictures. I will bead the neckline and cuffs of the hjacket and it will blend well.

I will post picture tomorrow a.m. (hopefully). I finished putting the rhinestones on, started working on dewing dress #2 and got tired so I called it quits for the day. I have one more easy-peasy project which is to make a new lace for the corsette baking for the gown. The one they gave her with the dress was very narrow.
Burned my fingers making dinner tonight, so very lucky no more hand sewing needed right away.

I think I really made points with FDIL when I told her she now has a one of a kind wedding gown that No One Else will have. I guess I now need to check my bead stash to see if I have the beads to add to the jacket. Oh, Darn if I don't I will just have to go shopping for some. Wouldn't that be a shame? (I am in desperate need of some retail therapy, work has me stressed out!)
Barbe, I would love to be a wedding coordinator or something like that, but our area is not likely big enough to support another one. I have often thought of checking with the couple who owns the wedding venue to see if she could use help. But, I imagine there are a lot of wannabees out there thinking the same thing.

Meece - As it turns out, the woman who owned the bridal shop where we got DH's tux was also a wedding planner. Who knew? It was something she did on the side.
She gave us the most gorgeous wedding and reception...one that far exceeded our expectations, and on a VERY limited budget.
I couldn't have done it without her.

Spent another weekend on dresses. Less than 6 weeks to go an I am a bit frustrated with the MOB. She should be the one steering her daughter and helping her get things done.
Got one more dress to the point of zipper and hem left. A third is in progress. I also started beading the jacket. Her mom helped put the ribbons on the invites. I also printed maps to the venue, as it had not been thought of when the invites were ordered.
I need to take Barbe's advice and Breathe....
