VR - too funny but also sad about your DH's doc.

grannyd - you are so right about how almost everything has that crap in it.

I want to throw in all the products with BPA - Bisphenol A - it's everywhere too, for example they line food cans with plastic.  Here goes, toxic smoke to follow...

I certainly hope they aren't scared.  If they are, then I guess we could use them as boy toys.  There are enough to share.  What do you think?  I can be so bad.

I want to throw in all the 'Breaking News' headlines about how X treatment doesn't work as well as Y, that you should have done A instead of B etc. etc. then after totally freaking everyone out, making you question your decisions..... 'POOF' you never hear about them again.

Also all the reports that expound, 'Lower your risk by_______ (fill in the blank)'; REALLY!!! They make they SO mad because I was basically doing every fricking one of them!!!!!

    i got one.

    a girl at work.

my work is throwing a fundraiser for relay for life. ( i am out on LOA), one of my assistant managers went on the local news to get it out there that they are doing this fundraiser to raise money for relay for life because of a gal (me, and actually another young woman who had cancer in her childhood) that works at the place has cancer. ok. good and supportive right? well the interview makes it way onto facebook. ok. one of the girls i work with leaves a comment, " such bullcrap, all of it"

i leave a comment " hey this kind of hits close to home for me" and she basically tells me to f**k off, also the other girl who had cancer in her childhood

this hurts me, even though i am not close with this girl. it's just very "ouch"!

so she deserves to go in the fire!

Today, we ought to throw all of FACEBOOK into the fire too!  What's wrong with this world?  Don't people understand nowadays how powerful the written word is and you can NEVER take it away, once it's in print??!!

hdangelbaby I hear that on.  I had a person whom I thought was a good friend and all.  Well when I told her about my BC she told me that I just need to get over it.  I have my breast issues and she has hers.  I was floored. Well she has a cyst that has been there for over 2 yrs and wont go have ot looked at. Her excuses why are crazy.  But then again she wouldnt be able to have the poor me to fall back on. Not once have I heard or seen from her since I've had surgery and started chemo. Thats ok because when you go thru this you really do find out who are the ones  who really care and are willing to to whatever right along side of you.  I tossed her in the fire along with her fake husband.

I cant believe how people can get when it comes to a fundraiser for whatever it is.  Alot of people dont know where the funds go and how they help people.  Believe you me if it was her she would be the one who every stiken day cry poor me.  Let her burn!!!!

I will help you throw in FACEBOOK.  It's big and you may need some help.

If you google any of these threads, they are out there for all the world to see.  What's up with that?

Of course, someone would have to know what they are looking for.  Those that are not on here wouldn't have a clue.

Good point Jo....think I will take my city off now..though the spelling of my name is unusual too...guess no one would know if they didn't have a reason to check this site, hmm? thanks for the suggestion!

Since this is a members only site, I think we are pretty safe.  When I talk to others about my "internet support group" I don't mention the website.  They don't need to know that unless they have been diagnosed.  You could leave the NS is you wanted or leave it just the way it is.  The spelling is unusual and I'm sure you don't mention it in conversations with others.

Thanks Jo....that was taken in Ecuador last March and it really DID look like that. Seemed sill for me to take my city off and yet leave my photograph, hmm? Just occurred to me this evening. Doi!

Granny- Yeah...I am not there yet...don't want this little community looking at me weird....don't want to hear the 'You are so strong" comments or see the look for shock that I had cancer...and a heart attack...people I have told who are not my work colleagues or best pals are stunned...and rightly so....but I just don't want to see it right now. Maybe once I have gotten past the first clear mammogram I will feel differently...I suspect I will...but until then....keeping it low key.

    1. Where I live and work there is not such thing as keeping a secret.  Seems a lot of people knew even before I had surgery.  There was only 10 days between being told I had cancer and surgery. Sheesh!  I manage a 55+ community and those folks sure can gossip - wouldn't be too awfully bad if they could at least get the story straight.
