FK try Namaste Foods Perfect Flour Blend.  Use it cup-for-cup in most recipes.  No muss no fuss no mixing!

    image

Walmart & my local grocery store carry it as does the little organic market.

Gotta tell ya goddesses, the bonfire worked!  Those two new projects won't start until we have sufficient resources.  Hallelujah!  So they DID burn up before they hit my desk - magic.  Coals are still hot though...

FK, I found it on-line at both Amazon.com and Walmart.com but they want to sell you six (48-oz) bags for $59.  That's a great per-bag price but a lot to shell out at one time.  And then you have six freakin bags of GF flour.  Amazon will sell you a single (48-oz)bag for $17 but that's $5 more than you should pay.

Do you have a local grocery that might stock it for you?  They could buy the 6-pack and sell them for $12 each and make money.

I have a natural store right by where I live

If he don't have it he will get it for me but it's gonna cost

I bout from Amazon the 3 pk.of coconut flour...that needs the help of an all purpose flour...I like the lg.quantity...I'll check it out

    Thanks.

    R u gf?

I hate this damn diet..if u r God bless u...gotta watch the sugar, fat, dairy, soy and the salt....I can never buy the ready mixes...too much salt.grrrrr

FK, I'm mostly GF but by choice, I feel so much better when I don't eat wheat.

We have a small natural food store here too and they started stocking the Namaste flour when someone asked for it.  Now it's a good seller and they only charge $12 for a bag and that lasts me a long time.  I know you live in a bigger city than I do so it's prob more expensive there so see if they have it/can get it and what they charge then compare to $17 on amazon.

For me a good starting resource was Dr. William Davis, a preventive cardiologist who used to practice in Milwaukee.  Now he does tours & lectures and sells books, lots of them.  Some people say he's controversial but I like his cookbook.  He uses lots of almond flour which smells wonderful as it cooks.

    But

There is a huge demand for gf food here soooo I just might be able to get it

If not I'll get it on Amazon

    I'm up for anything

    I really hate this diet

Maybe cause I never ever had to be on any diet before

It is what it is....and yes I do feel soo much betta but a pain in the ass

Yeah - my little grandson and SIL ended up with that influenza A - I had it before surgery and so did my older Grandson. Now it's back - hoping I stayed away from the little guy enough that I don't get it again.

I am so far behind I won't even try to catch up with each of you.

    So glad you're home GMA!!

I've been trying to get my house in order for Christmas. Usually I don't have to do that because it's just my husband and I, and our two kids. We usually make a big meal and sit around all day in our jammies. The younger generation hasn't really taken on any of our traditions (homemade ravioli), so we broke off our dinners, and always got together at my sisters after dinner for dessert.

This year my sister's kids are doing their own thing. Her one daughter moved out of state, and her other daughter was planning on traveling with her family out of state. Unfortunately her husband suffered a minor heart attack, so now they are staying at home and having their own dinner. Her youngest son invited her over for brunch on Christmas morning (he lives on our street), and will be having dinner with his wife's family. The other son is working this Christmas but will most likely be around for dessert.

So I invited my sister for dinner, because I didn't want her to be alone. Then I got a call from my nephew's son asking to come for dessert with his partner. So all of a sudden, the crowd is heading in my direction. This is not something I planned for, so I've been frantically trying to get my house in order. No easy task after being in treatment the past year. We all know how we let things go during that time. I've been feeling particularly crappy, so getting stuff done has been very challenging for me. On top of it all, I twisted my back, so most of my shopping this weekend has been in a wheel chair with my DH pushing me.

That's how I've been spending my days – cleaning, shopping, going to PT and sleeping. I've been missing you all, and just wanted you to know you are always in my thoughts. I can't wait to be done with the holidays so I can go back to my blissfully boring life!!

    Love to all!!

Slow.. Sorry you've been so busy.. I'm sure your family isn't going to worry if everything in the house isn't as neat as a pin.. They know what you've been going through treatment wise.... And it's your company...and that home made ravioli of yours. 😃 )they want, they won't care if the silvers not polished!! ..

Actually cleaning up for Christmas 🎄 is too much work.. We should just invite everyone here to have Christmas around the Bonfire with us....and after they've had a few drinks and start pissing us off we can just throw them in....HaHa 😃

I feel really out of it. No tree, no decorations, no family this week. Not even a present in sight. Never got to it before the surgery. Christmas is usually my favorite time of year. I don't have the energy to do any of it..

GMA..........I have not one thing that even resembles xmas in sight.......its just another day......tthere are 364 other days in the year.......I am so tired of the hoopla.......xmas (if it means so much should be celebrated everyday.......sorry maybe I am Scrooge.

So you take care of you......your famiy has "you" and that should be present enough......so cheer up, and take care of "you" for "Us".........hugs....

Throwning the MO and now the Practical Nurse on the bonfire. In addition, I'd like to throw the idiot who came up with the bright idea of freezing pie crusts, because in my experience, when you de-thaw them, they break into a hundred pieces!
