Have a great lundh today ladies, will be waiting for some pics.

I just heard on the news that our local grocery store chain will not be selling any meat with the pink slime. Its like closing the barn door after the horse has gotten out...how many years have we been eating that crap?

Went out last night and had a grilled chicken sandwich, it was sooo good, had a cajun mayo on it.

Today I am attempting to shower, it has been five days and the sponge baths just arent cutting it for me anymore. Oh the simple pleasures in life. Then tonight we are making pizza with friends and watching the 'cuse game.

    Great Day everyone.

Michelle and other lunch attendees, tell us the background story on Pickety Place.  I gather it is more than just a restaurant in a remote location at the end of a bumpy road.

Apple, what an interesting background you have.  I visited Copenhagen, too, quite a few years back.  DH and I took a 3-week trip in the Scandinavian countries.  We met two Swedish couples on a sailing vacation in the Grenadine (sp?) Islands one summer and visited them the next year.  We drove around Sweden, Denmark and ???  Duh, what's the other country?  It was a great trip.  No problem with languages since English is taught in the schools.

Sun is shining brightly today and the forecast is for HOT.  I must do a weight workout and some aerobic exercise.  Later I'll take my mother on a grocery shopping outing to a nice Rouses (LA) supermarket with wide aisles.  She can be dangerous driving the shopping scooter.

Well, plans just changed.  My mother called to read off a list.  She wants me to do the shopping and bring the groceries to her.  We also have to wash and set her hair since she missed her hair appointment because of the rain this week.

Looking forward to the lunch reports and pictures!

    Happy Saturday to all.

carole:  You are a wonderful daughter to do all that for your mother.  I'm sure mine would do that for me too if I asked....maybe??:)

Yes Carol, it is a serene place to be, in the middle of June the gardens are just gorgeous, all the flowers and herbs, 2 gift shops, the smells are indescribable all the cooking and potpourri, I hope the green house is open I want to buy more herbs for my herbal/veggie garden. I have to make sure it is hardy in zone 5. Visit the website: www.pickityplace.com

It will give you the history and all sorts of cool information you can even shop on line. They have a quick turn around when you place an order.  I have been going there since 1975 when I lived in Townsend with my DD in a stroller, she is now 36.

Carole - the cottage has been there since 1786 and was used as a model for illustrations of the Little Golden Book version of Little Red Riding Hood.  Inside, there is a room set up with the wolf in the bed, very cute!

Laurie- Thinking of you as well today

Carrie- Glad you were able to shower today and your friends will probably be happy about that too LOL! Hope you are healing and feeling better. I agree on the pink slime why did it take so long for this to come out?

Joyce- Hope you got some much needed rest today.

Are you ladies back yet? You must be having fun!!!

joycek:  Glad you don't have to make that long trip again, particularly since the weather is so nice where you are.  It hit 86 here today...too hot for me!  That usually doesn't happen until May.

Speaking of golf, the boyfriend set us up for 18 holes tomorrow...I don't know how I'm going to make it in this hot weather...I just don't have the stamina that I used to.  He has clients coming from Miami that we must entertain, the wife is coming, so I'm included.  Haven't played in a long time...should be interesting.  I'd rather be sitting by the pool with a good book!  So...for my cooperation...I'm getting dinner out tonight:)

It was fun!  I recognized Michelle and Deb right away. I was so happy to meet everyone, I wish we lived closer. Next time  you all have to haul your b**^ts to RI!   I was looking forward to seeing and hugging the sheep, but they were not out yet.  Only got to hug a cat.  :(   ( And the "ladies")  :)

Michelle, I can see everyone, is there a side bar on the bottom of the page to move it over more on your puter?  Your picture is nice and clear.

Deb - that is weird.  I even tried changing my zoom down from 125% to 100% and I still can't see the whole thing.  And no scroll bar to move it over either.  That explains why no one else had commented...lol!

Why, oh why did I not pluck those eyebrows?   lol  That's what 2 -12 days followed by a 10 hour day will do to you.  It was *wicked* fun!  I bought real maple syrup and burts bees cuticle cream at Parkers.   I know, I know, you're all jealous about the cuticle cream!  Too bad, I don't have enough for all of you!   :O

Our former neighbors sent us this picture of our house with the eastern redbuds in bloom.  It looks like the pear tree on the right side of the picture bloomed a couple weeks ago as the flowers are gone and the leaves are appearing.  (((Sigh)))  I do miss this house.  If it was practical, we would pick it up and move it here.  The outside was painted after I left for NH and I have never seen it this color.  It was yellow when I left.  The blue-grey seems very serene.

Thanks, Debbie!  Yes, I do have a nice "mess" of curls on my head!
