    Great news Chrissy.

My jade plant flowered this year as did the neighbours whose plant has never flowered.

Really stormy weather here at present and further north there has been a lot of damage. Even in the city many people are without power.

    Big hugs

yay, chrissy!!! Good to go, we won't be able to keep up with you!

lovely pics Lisa! My DD brought home a DSL camera from her job and I am helping her learn how to take pics. it is for a Real Estate firm. So fun, but I can't download them.

The schooners are always sailing by. They take the school kids out during the summer for 4 or 5 days. I think it is the 5th grade classes. We can see them jumping from the lower rigging into the water. Both my kids got to go years ago. They are owned by the guy that owns The Black Dog restaurant. I could just sit and watch the boats all day long. But this house needs some tender loving care. I was replacing some shower glass doors with a rod and curtain (because it would be easier for DD) and some of the tiles fell off the wall. So I taught myself how to set tile over the last few days. It's not perfect, but it works. lol.

I am really enjoying living here. I feel my anxiety has dropped so much by not being above the shop all the time. Out of sight, out of mind really works. lol

But I have the carpenters asking lots of questions. What kind of wood for the trim? Are you going to stain or paint? But that means it is getting into the final days.

Hi girls!  I'm in the city visiting with my sister as my brother has bought the girls (the two in my avatar) over for the first week of the school holidays and it's been lovely to catch up.  That's another reason why I was chomping at the bit to be able to drive.......lol.  We all went out to dinner last night to celebrate my other brother  and his wife's birthday and may I say, a good dinner and night was had by all!

I think I may have over done it a little yesterday but a good night sleep and I'm raring to go once again.  Heading home again later today so then I can sit back and put my feet up......lol.

Lisa, I bet they are all off  having fun in the sun.....lol.....later all, it is summer holidays over there!

3jays, I'm so glad to know that Mur is able to get you out of the house occasionally  and that you are able to go.........I do worry about you you know.  It's lovely to see you pop in!

Gotta go as sis has made me a cup of tea.......just what I need!

    Love n hugs all!     Chrissy

Lisa - What a beautiful beach! You really take lovely photographs!

Alyson - I hope the storms didn't affect you.  Being without power is a pain.

macatacmv - Your new place sounds lovely!

Chrissy - You never sit still for long, do you?  Lol. Glad you are having such a good time!  But something tells me that YOU are the party!  Lol

Had #5 of my Taxol today.  The Benadryl has worn off and the steroids have kicked in.  So I will be up most of the night.  My sleep wasn't very good today because of the restless leg syndrome from the Benadryl.  Oh the joys of all these stupid SE's! Loopy

Hope all of you ladies are well.  A special prayer going out to Leah.  Stay safe!  Hugs, lilyrose

lilyrose. How many more chemos? I am sending hugs. I just remember even though mine finished up 13 years ago this month. One step at a time. Easy to say I know. My mantra was " you have to do what you have to do" over and over again.

    Hi SoCallisa,

I am just dropping in for a visit. I am getting into photography a little and I couldn't help but admire your beautiful pictures!  I just finished rads last week and hoping that I can get back out there with my camera when I have more energy. Thanks for sharing.

Lisa, I have seven more rounds of Taxol...then 35 rads.  I should be finished by Thanksgiving!  This drug is not as hard on me.  But fatigue is my biggest enemy right now.  I find it difficult to get much done lately.  It took me weeks to finally get all the goodies packed up and box sent off to my son.  He is currently on deployment for nine months.  He loves getting goodie packages!

Thanks for the hugs!  It helps to know so many women have made it through this.

    Hugs,  lilyrose

Lorazepam is WONDERFUL for restless leg syndrome!! AND you will get a good nights sleep, to boot!

bandwoman..hope you get back into your photography soon..I got started on digital cameras many moons ago and I just love it

lilyrose..Deployments are always hard...what branch of the military is your son in...both my husband and I were in the Navy. Plus

I was a Navy wife for twenty years..deployments are just plain hard..I also noticed you were triple negative..one of the gals on BCO

started a webpage years ago mainly for this with a researcher who helps..

        it is

Take a look around...for me chemo fatigue was cumulative..hope you can cope...

Chrissy you are like the energizer bunny...

Barbe - Thanks for the tip on the Lorazepam!

Lisa - My son has been in the Navy for 14 years now.  He is currently serving on the George H W Bush.  So he is in the Arabian Sea.  He's a nuke, EM1, and loves it.  This is his third long deployment.  Ironically, his first was during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  His wife and three kids miss him terribly.  But they have been able to Skype with him on occasion.  That helps a lot with the youngest one.

I am feeling much better this morning.  But yes, I do think the fatigue is getting worse.  I'm grateful I don't have to head off to a job.  But my DH travels for work, so I have to get up early to feed the horses and the dogs.

Hope you are all doing well.  Hugs, lilyrose

lilyrose, my son was in the marines and deployed to Iraq for a while. I didn't realize how much tension I was holding until he got back. Even tho, he has done this before doesn't make it much less worrisome. Good for you getting a package off. He will enjoy it!!!

How many horses and dogs do you have? I love being distracted by routine. And that sense that we are important to somebody (animals are somebodies).

I was so content this morning watching the squirrels and birds and now 2 chipmunks have joined in the feeding group under the bird feeder. Who knew that I would be happier doing less, rather than more, more, more!!!

Back when my husband was deployed or in-country we didn't have email or skype..the only time he could phone was when he hit a port. We could send telegrams through the communications station but had to pay Western Union the price to get to the communications station. If we had an emergency Red Cross would send a message after they verified it. So basically we sent snail mail which took weeks we mailed cassette voice tapes back and forth for the kids to hear his voice. Our middle son was born when he was in-country Vietnam. It took a couple of days for him to know about it. So the new electronics is wonderful..It always seems that the appliances and cars broke down when he was gone and I had to make decisions without his input. I think that frustrated both of us..anyhow send him a big hug from San Diego...

macatacmv - I have a BIL and a nephew who were in the marines.  Once a marine-always a marine!  Lol. I can't imagine the worry you went through.  At least my son is pretty safe on an aircraft carrier!  I thank your son for his service.

We have three horses and one miniature donkey at home.  We keep our two mares at a friend's house in California.  We have two dogs.  A German Shorthair Pointer named Ozzie and a miniature Schnauzer named Sally.  They are my best buddies!

I enjoy staying at home.  I must confess I can be something of a hermit if no one pushes me to leave the house.  NerdyBird watching has become an enjoyable past time for me as well.

Lisa - technology certainly has made military deployments a little easier on families.  On my son's first deployment, he wrote us letters and they had phones on the ship, but they could only use them occasionally.  Plus they were monitored, so if you said anything that was forbidden they cut off the call.  We had to be careful not to ask about lots of things like where he was.  Lol  He can email most of the time, but now can only call when he is in port.

I can't imagine having a baby while my husband was away on active duty - let alone Vietnam!  You must have lots of stories to tell.

Well, it's time to walk the dogs and check on the horses before it gets dark.  Wishing you all a good night!

    Hugs, lilyrose

Lisa, I always look forward to your photos.  They show what a nice and sensitive person you must be.  If I had your skill, I could have made some really good pictures at my sister's in Iowa, instead of one with a finger!  She had birds that I have never seen in Alabama, and I really enjoyed just sitting and watching.  Wilsie
