Hugs and positive thoughts from here also. I hope they find something that is easily cleared up. Eye problems suck.

macatacmv,  Love the pics of the cottage.  Looks like it will be a nice cozy place to live.  But you aren't going to be moving in?

Chrissy,  Just saw your duck pics...love em!  Hope you are feeling well and keeping warm!

Barbe,  You deserve a day or two, or three, in bed-after all you did to get your house ready for showing!!  I can't believe how much you accomplish with so many health issues!  I am remembering you in my prayers.

I'm laying low today...sent DH off to church without me again.  Just dealing with another UTI and of course general body aches.  I'm just glad that I'm near the end of chemo!

Hope you are all having a peaceful day.  Hgs,  lilyrose

Off to water aerobics. Seems to be helping hip. I enjoy it after I get there, it's just the getting there! DD sort of pushes me, otherwise I may still be in bed!  Am also going to try arm chair yoga later today-

Good for you, Wilsie, pushing yourself to get some exercise.  I always feel better after making myself exercise.  Maybe it's just a "pat myself on the back" virtuousness!

If the rain stops, I should push myself to take a long walk this afternoon.  Especially after going out to lunch and having pizza!  And an ice cream sundae for dessert!

It's a real thing, and she will be working us up to standing exercises. Just don't make me get on the floor!  I can't get back up!

Goodness, I took a couple of days off and look at all the posts!  You ladies have been busy.

First, Barbe you know you have my prayers and all good thoughts!  I just hope you can get some answers and action very soon.  You deserved to take the weekend off and then some after all the work you did with the house staging.  That's something I've never done and don't want to now!  The builder of our present home just bought our old home himself because it had enough land with it for him to put another house on.  So all we had to do was move out when this one was completed.  Easy peasy.

I'm so liking the pictures you posted Chrissy, and also Lisa and Alyson.  The drunk tui is amazing, as are the ducks (Chrissy) and the water lilies (Lisa).  Chrissy, I like your new camera!!

Lilyrose (love your name), it's wonderful that the ultrasound showed no clot.  The end of the chemo is within reach now and I'm so glad for you about that.  But another UTI?  Hope you're able to take something to clear it up quickly.

Nancy, I love, love, love the house!  I think I'd have to live in it myself (well, couldn't do the stairs, but)  it's going to be gorgeous.  Your color choices are fantastic, and I do like all the woodwork.  I'm enjoying seeing the progress as you go along!

Wilsie, a chair yoga class just started at our church and I'm thinking about signing up for it.  Need to do something and that sounds like a good way to start.  This past week I've not walked or done much of anything due to a bout of sciatica, but it's much better now.

Looks like there's another grandchild coming to us!  DD went to the doctor and it's official, due in April.  So, everybody's happy about that!

Hope we all have a good week,

    Kathy

Wilsie,  Arm chair yoga sounds like something I should try.  As long as I don't have to get down on the floor!  Lol.  My knees wouldn't let me get up again!

Kathy,  Thanks for the good wishes.  I just finished my antibiotics for the UTI.  Feeling much better.  Today was blood work...tomorrow I see my MO and get chemo.  Loopy  Congrats on the new grand baby!  They are always a blessing!

Hope you are all having a peaceful day,  lilyrose

I have a hard time getting up off the floor too..When and if I can get down, I make sure it is next to something I can use to pull myself up.

I only have one PT appt left..maybe she can help with that too...haha

I love this place...it is Balboa Park with the lily pond in front and the botanical garden in that building to the rear..

It is hard to see the lilies here..

Lisa the more pics you post the more I want to come visit....lol.  That one is stunning!  Beautifully composed with the flowers and reflection.

I haven't been out with my camera all week but I am heading down to the city tomorrow for a follow up appointment with my ENT and you can bet I'm going to take it with me.  The conola is starting to flower and the the country is so green as we have had an enormous amount of rain and the contrast between the bright yellow of the conola and the greens of the country is just beautiful.  I'm going to leave an hour earlier than I normally would for the drive as I want to leave plenty of time for photo taking.......lol.

I think I have finally evicted that bug that just wouldn't leave my lungs. A month and two lots of anti B's has done the job but there is still a residual cough that gets me every now and then as well as the fact that I'm still getting short of breath on exertion so I think there will be a few questions asked next time I see my doc if they persist till then.

Wilsie that wheel chair yoga sounds great! Here's hoping that you get good enough to graduate to the standing yoga.

Lilyrose hope you do okay with your last couple of chemo's! Glad you have gotten rid of the UTI!  They are sooo not nice things to have.

Carole I'm hoping to get to doing a bit more walking now the knee is feeling okay.  I bought a new set of orthodics to put in my shoes as I find that my feet are rolling in and making my knees hurt and I supposed that was because of the rolling feet.  Anyway, They are now inserted and I guess only time will tell if it's going to work or not.  Here's hoping!

Yay Kathy!!!  A new grand is wonderful news!!!  Congratulations!!!  Thanks for the comments on my new camera.......I like it too.....lol.

Well my wash cycle has just finished so I best go put it into the dryer.  Take care all!

    Love n hugs.   Chrissy

Chrissy, I am glad that you are planning to take your new camera with you. Now you know we're all waiting to see your world starting to come back to life after your winter. I wear orthotics in my shoes as well. One thing leads to another it seems.

lol chrissy, wheelchair yoga. I'm sure they teach it some where. I started out with chair yoga but now 2 years later can get off the floor. Now I go to Silver yoga which is a very gentle class. Like everything it takes time and patience and practice and acceptance of our bodies as they are now.

I went to my cancer centers images boutique yesterday and got fitted for a new prosthetic and new bras since losing so much weight. I feel like a new woman! Lol

my yoga is arm chair, not wheel chair. I think someone in a wheel chair could do it, though.

Lisa,  Beautiful photo!  I love the reflection of the building in the water.

Chrissy,  I can't wait to see more photos from your new camera.  I sure hope you don't have any more lung problems.  Take care of yourself woman!  Yes, I feel good since the antibiotics got rid of the UTI.

macatacmv,  Glad you are feeling like a new woman!  Smile

Had Taxol #11 today.  Ended up getting the full dose.  My MO told me that if my neuropathy gets worse this next week, he wants me to call him and cancel my last infusion.  I'm scheduled to see him again in three weeks.  I'm also seeing my RO next week to get set up for rads.  I am also going to have a CT scan before I see my MO again.

My youngest DD is coming tomorrow for a visit.  She is staying ten days...I am so excited!  She and I will have tons of fun together!

Wishing you all well,  hugs,  lilyrose

Lisa, you live in a beautiful world and I think your camera lens helps you to appreciate it even more.

Chrissy, I wear inserts in my exercise shoes.  I got them from the podiatrist.  They aren't the kind that are formed especially for your feet.  I had those a number of years ago when I played a lot of tennis and developed plantar fasciitis in both feet.  Now I have plantar fasciitis in the right foot, but it seems to have gone away.  What bothers me more is a condition in the front half of the left foot that I have diagnosed as neuropathy since it's a combination of numbness and pain.  With aging, the fat pad in the front part of the foot thins out and the lack of padding causes pain.  An old tennis friend of mine had to quit playing league tennis because of that condition.

The feet issues are why a lot of aging folks start going to the gym and using the machines for aerobic exercise instead of walking or running on the street.  Also joint issues.  Knees and hips.

For the last couple of days I haven't been active because I haven't felt good.  It might be a touch of stomach flu.  I made a pot of chicken noodle soup yesterday and ate only bland foods.  Not feeling good makes me appreciate how nice it is to feel good!  For the most part, I am pain free but I know that can change in an instant with a clumsy movement.  Or just plain ole bad luck.

    Wishing everyone a good Thursday.

Carole, I wear prostheses too..in both feet...the ones that were especially made for my feet did not help..I have two different types..one that stretches the plantar and one that maintains a proper position...I switch off depending...I have had plantar fasicitis  off and on for over 20 years and our wonderful neuropathy in my feet now..

After posting earlier, I think I discovered the reason for my fairly recent digestive problems.  When I had my reflux med re-filled here in MN, I noticed that the capsules were smaller with a different coloration.  I called the pharmacy in Louisiana today and verified that I had been taking 40 mg and this refill was 20 mg.  So I'll start taking two of the 20 mg.  I have plenty enough since I always get 90 days.

I feel relieved to discover a reason for my icky stomach.

Well I have worn the prosthetics for a couple of days now and I think they will definitely make a difference but I think I actually need to change my shoes as well.  I did a fare bit of walking yesterday which surprised me greatly but it wasn't my knees that hurt at the end of it it was my toes! .....lol.  I think I need a wider fitting shoe to keep those little blighter a comfy as well.  I'm in the city at the moment and have some time to kill this morning so I think I may just have to do some shoe shopping, it's a hard thing to have to do but someone's got to do it and it might as well be me.........lol.

Yes I did get some nice shots yesterday on the way down and will post them on the weekend as I only bring my iPad with me and not my laptop.

    Love n hugs all!     Chrissy

I HATE shoe shopping!!! Inserts take up too much room. I do have Sketchers I like to walk in because they "tip" me forward.

Barbe, I had a pair of shoes that I wore all the time as they were soooo comfy but alas, like all things good they wore out.  The brand name was 'step on air' so this morning I am going back to the same shop in the hope that they still stock that brand and have a pair that I like.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

We have "Walk on Air" up here and I used to get them for work when I could afford them. They mostly come from Isreal and weigh next to nothing.

I just liked the fact that my toes had room to move, they were supportive in the right places and front the minute I put them on my feet they were comfy and never gave me blisters!  The pair I had were still great to look at but I wore the sole out and it couldn't be replaced........:(

I bought a pair of Mephisto. lace up shoes in 1998. My inserts fit beautifully and 16 years later they still look brand new. Best pair of shoes I ever bought. Lots of toe room too.
