I have colon cancer now  will have to wait a few days to know if it's primary. Maybe I am still stupid from the anesthesia, but at least I may have some options where that treatment is concerned. I have known something was wrong since May. Another case of having to stamp your feet to get something followed up on. I will have to wait to see how far it has advanced. Guess I am getting used to bad news.

((((((Wilsie)))))) Sorry to hear that. Hope your options are good.

oh wilsie, I am so sorry. Hopefully it is early stages and there are lots of treatment options. Glad you stuck to your guns and got that scope!

I finally got my root canal yesterday. It was one of the most painful things I have ever been through. the tooth was "hot". So it wouldn't numb. The doc finally put a shot of Novocaine right into the nerve. I thought I was going to have to be scraped off the ceiling. But today I woke up with no aching pain and I can drink cold liquids again. So the ends justified the means I guess, but at one point I was telling him just to yank it.

Wilsie, I am so sorry about your bad news.  I hope you can get treatment and have a positive outcome.

Mac, the root canal experience sounds horrible.  Glad you're free of pain now.

Oh Wilsie............Thank goodness you pushed to have the colonoscopy done!  Certainly not the result we were all hoping for but a result it is and now for the treatment side of things.  Did the doc say how much?  Regardless, I'm sure you will be preparing for surgery and then another lot of chemo.  We are here for you, whether it is a met or a primary, so when you need to let it all out, we have many collective ears and a wealth of arms to hold you.

Nancy, you made me cringe as you were describing your  experience at the dentist!! OUCH!!!  So happy that you have woken pain free and that is the bonus of having the gumption to sit in a dentist chair to begin with.  Well done you!!

I had a lovely day yesterday at our Annual Melbourne Cup Race Luncheon........loads of fund and lots of laughs and a lovely lunch to boot.

    Take care all!

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

Wilsie, I'm so sorry about your news.  Hopefully you'll get a plan and can get it in motion very quickly.  Hugs and love to you.

LIsa, I'm amazed at what you see on your walks.  It sure doesn't look like that around here this time of year!  This group of photos is just outstanding.

Nancy, your description of your ordeal makes me shiver.  So glad it's better now and also that you didn't loose the tooth.  I've gone to the same dentist for over 20 years, love him and his staff, but still cringe every time.  You're a brave woman!

Election's over, results in NC are in, and now the nasty campaign ads will stop.  Thank goodness!

Thanks to all for your support and well wishes.  I guess it just hasn't sunk in yet, because I feel calm acceptance. I am just a little anxious about what the treatment will be, my onc seems totally against any kind of surgery.

Wilsie, please make sure you explore all your options for treatment and if necessary, get a second opinion.  I know right now you are a little numb and having been dx with cancer before gives you the strength to be where you are now........calm acceptance is good but at some point the flood will come.  We are here for you, every step of the way.

Thank for your words of wisdom, Chrissy.  I went to MDAnderson for 2nd opinion first time, and will probably do that again.  We don't know if it's primary colon cancer, or if it's bc mets. Once we know that, there will be treatment decisions to be made.  During the lull, I do feel calm and not in panic mode, my dd is bout to worry herself into a,breakdown  wilsie

Wilsie our kids worry themselves silly when there is a problem with their moms and that is out of love, fear and a sense of helplessness on their part.  If they would move mountains to make their mom all better they would..........just shows how much she loves you.  I'm assuming that the doc took a biopsy when doing the colonoscopy and you are waiting on those results to give you the right path to follow for treatment.  It's such a hard time to get through.  Sending you huge ((((((((hugs))))))))).

Aly I'm hoping some of those flowers are still out when I get there in a couple of weeks!  I getting so excited I can hardly wait......lol.

Off to get a manicure, my treat to me.....lol.

Love n hugs to all!     Chrissy

Alyson, love your photos!  Makes me want to sit in your garden every morning to take in the beauty.

Didn't know we could post photos from cell phones here.  Do you have to upload them to the computer first or can you just post like on FB?

Kathy you can just post them straight to FB.......easy peasy.

Chrissy, yes it's easy to post them on Facebook and I sometimes do.   But can you post them on this forum from a cell phone?  If so, I've never seen how to do that here.

You know I'm notoriously dense about posting photos here!

My phone is an older android.  I can read bc.org forums on it but can't post.  The weird thing is that I can post on FB.  I'm due for a new phone in Dec.  It should be an improvement.  We're thinking of changing from Verizon to AT&T.  We've had some annoying issues with Verizon and are irritated with them!  So we'll punish them by changing to AT&T!

I find that I can share a photo to Facebook and then copy from FB onto this board. I have to be where the photo is the only thing on screen tho to copy. Easier on a bigger screen but doable on my phone. It's all about the process.

I'm getting a manicure tomorrow, chrissy. Hope you enjoyed yours.

I just set up my yearly visit to BS and mammo for next month. But first I am taking a trip to FL for a week with 2 girlfriends. Yippee. My DD was going to go with me, but she got a job. (nother yipee) So a grown up vacation. Well kinda. I have so much fun with these two. One of their DS said:

John Michael: Mom, did you know that 15 minutes of laughing is like doing 30 minutes of sit ups?

Me: Well I'm sure to get a workout next week in Florida.
JM: Who are you going with?
    Me: Lea and Nancy.
    JM: You're gonna have a six-pack!

    Me: hahahahahaha

see I just copied that from facebook. (but I am not on my phone)

I got a call yesterday late from the doctor who performed the colonoscopy....I do NOT have colon cancer! He was so sure I did on Tuesday, that he told me it was just a matter of waiting for the biopsy to come back to determine the type of cancer and treatment options. I had four really awful days of thinking I was going to have to deal with more cancer, but many prayers were answered, and the biopsy negative. I do have bowel issues to deal with, and have to be on a low fiber diet forever, but that's a piece of cake! Thanks to all for your support and prayers.

Oh Wilsie what wonderful news!!!! I'm soooo happy for you and very thankful as a change of diet is so much easier to deal with than cancer. Breathing a big sigh of relief!!!
