Loverly- not yet, it was ordered 2 weeks ago today, and they expected to take 6-7 weeks to arrive from CA, but they said it could be sooner. I expect middle to end of July it will be set up in the backyard. Will be sure to share photos! I am excited and may plan an August patio party!

Loverly ewwwwwwww! I bring my loo with me....

This is from 2005. Our first big trip in the Loo Van.... we went to VA to pick up DSD and then to DC. The boys were soo young! The man was not yet a full fledged fart face. Fun time and camped at a lovely Marriott that was downtown DC. Really cool old building that had previously been a post office.
Edited 'cuz I remembered what year it was

ShepK, I got a good laugh reading description of the stuffed chicken toy:

Queenie, it's Northern California. Southern Californians are different species. You should train your helpers to clean the windows for you.

Oh never mind, I forgot who is the master.
Lori, I would be scared of those critters. They are smart. One time at camping we forgot to keep a carton of eggs and left it out on the pinic bench. In the morning as I was getting ready to make breakfast I found empty cracked egg shells and their paw prints all over. They didn't save us any!

I have read that raccoon poop has something in it that isn't good for dogs. Can't remember what it was. Raccoons will sometimes attack cats and dogs and the can or dog loses. We try to discourage them from our yard. Hard to do because they're all over the neighborhood. The other wildlife problem in Seattle is coyotes. They are everywhere and think cats and dogs are snacks. They will play with a dog and coax it away into the woods. End of dog. Eagles will also pick up cats and dogs to feed their babies. It's a dangerous world out here.

Enjoying an ice quiet day at home, just bumming around and dong things that we had been planning to do for a while.

ShepKi: I like the stuffies but I like your new avatar better. Could never figure out what were in your first avatar, too dark to see.
Loverly, I will try to drop in sometime, if the wind blows this way! I am a reader not much a writer! Always enjoy your posts. I also miss Chevy's posts.
JunnieB, wish you a comfortable stay in SNF. Hi to other owlettes!

Shep there's more to your son's story, but it'd take way to long to write. If you want to talk, PM me. What I'd need is his hx of symptoms. I'm a good House , LOL. Seriously, I can help with stuff.
Loverly, YES, BOGUS. I just about died b/c I had posted on the TNBC, bone mets and June surgery threads. This gal that writes articles on a cancer foundation site, wrote a protocol for surgery. It hasn't been trialed yet. She presented it as acceptable action. Had to revise the whole topic box and do a Mea Culpa. There are oodles and oddles of epidemiology studies. There is one trial going on now. We can approach it as we did Toradol.
Sensi,(love the hair), Loverly, and Smarrty One of the best meet and greet pics on BCO. maVehloUs ladies

EEYORE (waving and smiling)

Sensi and Shep Love the new avatars

Toys for Furbabies. A great place to get stuffed toys that are good for being torn to bits when the mood strikes them is the thrift stores. 25C-1$. I just throw them in the washer and off they go or used to. Neither are into toys much anymore.
LOve all the raccoons

My Jackson loves to make holes in his toys. He has one toy that I have sewn up the holes many times that he loves and naps with in the colder weather days

Acck.... just took my first fall getting out of the tub. Does this look broken? Can't show off what else I busted open...... not a place I want stitches ewwwwwwww
Sas ~ PMing you

Shep that looks painful, I hope nothing is broken. Take care, maybe it is a bad sprain
0 -
Oh my dear ShepK!! If there is a lot of swelling and is painful to walk, most likely it's broken. Have you been icing it? I would go in to have it checked and have your back X-Ray also. Ouch !So sorry.

Shep, YIKES ! that looks so painful....elevate & ice.....you have cute little feet by the way

Good evening ladies,
Lookin - Love the selfie.
Hope you enjoyed your trip.P.T. about did me in on Thursday. Could barely walk on Friday, plus fatigue was overwhelming. Slept majority of the day.
MOmmy - Yum! Fresh strawberries.
The frozen peaches sound amazing too. The food here at SNF is ALL processed. So the canned peaches I was served at dinner were not palatable at all.
Smaarty, Loverly & Sensi - So glad you girls had a great time at lunch. I totally vote for a get together at some point.
Sas - Thanks for the directions. Once I get home I will do that. Incision is healing well & drainage has all but stopped.
Shep - Ouch!!!!!! Falling is so frightening. Hope your back is ok, and your foot isn't broken. Do you have a rubber mat in your tub, rug next to it?
Nooooo stuffies. Only the real Marti & Prison!
The raccoons are cute, but dangerous to family pets.
I guess that's all for now. Fatigue still getting me. I've forced myself to walk the length of the hallway several times today.

Shep - I apologize for the auto correct it has changed your kitty's name 4 times to prison. I give up.

JunieB ~ "prison"..... I laughed so hard I snorted! While sitting in the wheelchair wating for the X-rays 😂

Oh my gosh Shep! OUCH!! It looks very painful and I hope it's not broken! Did you get results from your x-rays yet? Ooooh maaan!
I loved your visitor Miss Pris had! I try to pick up the cat food when the coons stop by. I put out corn, sunflower seeds, peanuts and such. I have a few younger ones that sneak in during the day and get the cat food and the bird seed in my bird feeder. Sneaky little things! I was watching when the kits showed up tonight. They raced over to the feed dishes and they sounded like a heard of elephants! Blondie is the one trying to get in the door to hug (bite) me! So cute

My brain is a bit fried tonight! I've spent yesterday and most of today getting my medical record files organized. I read thru the record keeping thread on here for ideas and I finally have everything in order. I also went to the endocrine website Sas recommended, a wealth of information coming from one person! So much to learn! Thank you Sas!

Thanks for the updates, Shepkitty. Glad you did go to the ER for that, and even gladder it wasn't broken! No anti-inflammatories? did the nurse suggest anything in their place?

Hubby woke up to Princess whacking him in the head with her paw as she was stretching this morning. I couldn't scold her as it was so adorable but what a wake-up call for her Daddy on Father's Day. She apologized by giving him kisses after she got her morning treats.

Good morning Ladies,
Shep - So glad & grateful you didn't break anything. But I know you're hurting.

The no anti-inflammatory for those with bone Mets, I've never heard before. I take Relafen daily and my MO is aware of it. I think you might want to double check that with your MO.
Hope you sleep well and feel better soon.

After viewing the posts yesterday with the raccoons, I go to lay down and as I'm looking out of my window what do I see. One huge raccoon taking a stroll down the path that runs along the building here.
I wasn't quick enough to snap a pic though.

sheep, happy dance for no broken bones.
JunieB, when do you get to go home? Hope each day gets better.
Sensi, did you survive your first day back? Did Chance?
Well, I'm off to Tahoe this Monday. 5 days of sewing! I'll post pics of the lake and projects as I get them done. First one will be a baby blanket that I have to finish!
We lost a cat to raccoons years ago. I know there's still some in the area but haven't seen them in awhile.

Susan, how you feeling? Anybody hear how Blondie or Patty are doing?

Sensi, Smaarty and Lover - great to see you all!
I am just back from the Great Saltee Island off Ireland's south coast. No racoons, but plenty of these
There is nothing on the island but birds and peace.

wow sheps, you did a good job on that foot...yikes
For those who have inquired...inquiring minds want to know... Life is not so good on this end. Going to go back to counseling. My daughter is treating us like we only exist for chores. She was with her in laws on Mother's Day and now on Father's Day. Hasn't called her dad yet. This is just one of many things that have been going on in the past 3 years since their marriage. I should address things as they come along, but I don't....now I am going to explode. Just called her and told her she better call her dad in the next 5 minutes, or I won't be helping move a couch tomorrow. And hung up.
I think she feels so comfy around us that anything goes and no matter we will be ok. She seems to have forgotten that we have feelings to. Everything goes her in laws way and we just have to adjust. Her mother in law even asked me if I am happy cause Claire married a good family and she is there to replace me when I am gone....really!!
I know counseling will bring perspective back to my life. I have left things snowball....so now I am obsessing in that wonderful black hole....uhhhh, I hate when I do this ..blahhhhhh

Happy Fathers Day to those of you celebrating with your dads, husbands, sons, etc.
Shep- that bruise looked bad. I was worried for you that it could be a break. I hope you are feeling better soon. I found after a bad sprain that lavender oil along with ice helped to reduce swelling and bruising.

Jazzy ~ I have lavender oil! How do you use it? Applied "straight" it is a good antiseptic for people and dogs (toxic to cats). Do you water it down and then apply?
