JunieB, it's good to see you checking in. I thought we had to send these guys out to take you to the ER again. I'm glad you are behaving. I'm sorry the fibromyalgia and fatigue are tag teaming you.

WildT, yay for on the road to recovery. Quiet time is good for the soul. Sweet looking twins! You have beautiful skin. I had too much exposure to the sun during my younger days😔 Loved and still love the beach.

JunieB ~ Just gimmee a hollar and I'll send THESE guys to save you!
I wonder if they left bum prints on the fire truck? 😛
0 -
Oh and this guy to "serve and protect". Hmmmm, he does seem to have misplaced his pistol. Better help him find it.............

Gotta stop looking at these fine fellows. (sniff) NONE of FF's work photos ever looked like this! They all looked like the "before" pictures for some weight loss and exercise program. Now I am sad.... 😓

WildT - Although I struggle with the fibro and such, I still think I have it pretty good. I know that there are other people dealing with far worse situations than me. I do need that puppy though. He will give me someone to pamper and more motivation to get my backside moving.
How pretty those trees are Teka. The leaves here in Salem haven't started changing just yet, but I'm sure it won't be long.
Loverly & Shep - If those guys came to get me, I'd be totally dumbstruck and speechless. Especially since when you need their help, you're not at your best.
When I fell last month I was in my gardening clothes and covered in dirt, plus I was all sweaty. Eeew! Oh well.

Shep - This ones for you. I was looking online for an image of Gen. George W. Pickle, but no luck. He was the Attorney General of the state of Tennessee in the late 1880's. His mansion that was located on Clinch Ave., in Knoxville, TN, burned down in 2003. It was shown on a show called Salvage Dawgs.
Anyway, I found this instead.
Teka - Junie will be just fine. Shorter to type.

JunieB ~ awwwwe...... sweet babies. General Pickle? I need to look him up. That would be a great puppy name! Happy, happy about your puppy news and your hip behaving. Sad you got the blahs, ucky... no fun
I think we are on the same sleep schedule.... gotta try go to bed now to get up for Marti's dr. visit.
Sweet dreams to all 🌛

Well although my hip has been behaving, I am back in the hospital with Diverticulitis.
I am hooked up to IV antibiotics at this moment.
If it isn't one thing it's another.

awe jazz, hope those antibiotics kick in quick. Hugs

((((JunieB)))) No wonder you were feeling ucky 🙁 I hate that you are in the hospital again but I am glad that you are being taken care of. Keeping you close in prayer.

Oh my, JunieB ! The low ANC doesn't help. Praying that the antibiotics will help your body fight the infection. Hope the cramping is not too bad. Sending you this to replace the naked firemen/policeman photos that naughty Shep K posted for you (shuddering). So are you on a liquid or jello diet? Hope they have cable TV to keep your mind occupiedwhen you can't sleep.

Shep & Loverly - Thank you so much. Those Precious Cairn pics are just the ticket for me.
Once the IV antibiotics were done they discharged me home to continue antibiotic treatment in pill form. The treatment is usually Cipro & Flagyl, but my stomach does not handle Flagyl, so they gave me another one called Avelox I think. I have to call GI doc in the morning.
I'm just glad to be able to sleep in my own bed in peace and quiet.
Goodnight & sleep well to all!

Yay for sleeping in your own bed. Less nosocomial bugs to worry about. Watch for pain (or increase in pain) in your joints. Our Ms. Chevy had a reaction to Cipro.
ShepK, how is Marti? Taking Mitzy in tomorrow to see a different Vet for her skin problems. Hopefully, he can help her. The poor girl has been scratching like crazy. I tried changing her food to Wellness limited ingredients with just yam and salmon, but so far no improvement. She does have corn allergy. Makes me wonder if she is allergic to the Salmon.

JunieB - Home is always the most comfy. Especially when your guts don't feel nice. Poor Junie
Loverly - Darn! Mitzy is still having skin issues? I thought for sure the Eagle Pack food and probiotic would take care of it. And you give her fish oil too..... Hmmmmm........maybe chemicals on the grass? I'm stumped. New vet is a good idea. Mitzy has been uncomfortable for so long . I'm curious as to what the new doctor will say.
Marti is okay but it was a long day. Rain, thunder, lighting and a big girl who has trouble getting into the car......and refused to get out when we got there! Marti's hips and knees were bothering her plus her depth perception is off. She didn't beleive DS or me that the ground was there to step down to. She has a ramp but wouldn't use that either. One of the vet techs saw us outside and came out and lifted her out . That lady was strong! And very gentle. There was a sweet black and white spotted baby kitten in a wire crate set up on a table inside. He was a rescue in need of a home. Marti loved him! Everyone in the waiting room was charmed by the big goofy German Shepherd playing with the baby kitty. He was a sweetie and admired Marti as much as she admired him. Marti really, really likes baby kitties
I've fallen asleep 3 times since starting to get ready for bed at 10........time to sleep for realsies.
Sweet dreams to all

peeking back in to say "hey" to Feline! Love, love the pics of DD dancing. So graceful! The backgrounds used and the way the pictures were shot made it look like she was dancing on water - magical & beautiful

JunieB, Sad to hear about trip to hospital. Sending healing energy your way! I hope you get that puppy you are hoping for..maybe an early christmas gift?!
Loverly and Shep, Mitzy and Marti are lucky to have you giving them such love and dedicated care.
I hope everyone has a good day. I'm off to much needed therapy, then work, and tonight I plan to bake some cookies to send to one of my nieces (another form of therapy for me). Hugs, everyone!

Oh JazzyJune, so sorry to hear this sister. I hope the IV anti-B's kick that D to the curb. Wishing you better days.

Woo-hoooo! OMD! Just got THE call...... Spine surgery scheduled for THIS Friday!!!! Feel like I won the lottery🙌
Lotsa house prep to do........
WildT ~ Cookies are such good therapy! Do the kids help? I used to mix the ingredients and DS would do the baking. I am notorious for forgetting to check tbe oven and burning stuff. Such a mean child to grow up and move out on me..... Although for a sad occasion, your family pic made me smile. A happy looking trio with a close bond ~ such awesomeness. DD is so petite and DS so tall! Cool that they are twins and yet are unique from one another. Hard to imagine they were such teeny babies. True miracles 💟
Edited to wave good morning to Jazzy 👋

wow, lots happening.
Good news Skep, keeping fingers crossed and I'm sure we will all be crowded in, in your pocket.
JunieB, glad you made it home. Hope you're doing better. Not spending the day with the porcelain God.
Here's the blueberry bran muffin I promised. Made a couple of adjustments so it's much better and even a few calories less. Skep, would be good to make ahead for after sx, as long as you don't burn them up!
10 Ingredient, only 191 calories
- 5 cup, Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 cup egg beaters
- 15 ounce, Canned Pumpkin Puree
- 14 ounce, Bran Flakes
- 1 container (2 3/10 cup, Crushed Pineapple in 100% Juice, use the juice.
- 1 quart Low Fat Buttermilk
- 2 tsp(s), Salt
- 5 tsp(s), Baking Soda
- 2 cup, Blueberries, frozen, unsweetened, rinse
- 2 packet, trivia
- Mix wet ingredients, then add in cereal first then the rest of the dry ingredients, then add fruit.
- Bake in Texas size muffin pan, doesn't taste right in regular size plus it's a meal all by itself.
- 400 degrees for about 25 minutes.
Edited corrected buttermilk, it's 1 quart. And egg beaters. And baking soda. That's what I get for using a recipe thingy online. Sorry
Here's a new one of Evie, I just finally got a copy. She's 6 mos in this and is already 8 mos old. Can sit on her own and got up on all fours the other day.

I forgot to say hi to FF. It's hard to believe it's been a year since we met. DD is certainly growing up fast. Did DS get his drivers license? School started over there yet? Which means you go back to work too! 😝
Need some of your pics.

Hi Smaarty
School is back but universities are not back for another couple of weeks. I was back to teaching last week.
DS gave up the driving lessons over the summer as he was travelling a fair bit. Needs to get back into it once he is back to college.
Hope all your loved ones and cats are well. XXX

Great news indeed!!! Was going to ask you, but figured you would share.
Wish I could say baking is therapy. I don't like the mess. What a sweet aunt you are, WildT.
Feline, what subject do you teach? Love all your photos. You inspire me.
Hello Jazzy and Ms.S.

Thank you so much Ladies for your well wishes.
Loverly - Cipro is actually a rather dangerous drug that needs to be reserved for acutal bacteria infections. Dr. Mercola's website shows the SE's as joint, musculoskeletal, kidney & liver damage if used too much. I'll be on it & the Flagyl for 10 days.
Jazzy - Yikes! that's one BIG cat. :0)
Shep - Did you finally get your surgery scheduled? If so I for sure will be praying for the surgeons hands to be steady as a rock and his eyes clear. So glad you are finally getting this done. Hopefully it'll reduce your pain level, if not get rid of it.
You said you and Marti met a cute little black & white kitten today, but did not tell whether you took it home, since Miss Marti liked it so much.
It took all day today to finally get in touch with my G.I. doctor. Her office finally called me back at 5:02 p.m. Will have to wait to get the antibiotic script until tomorrow. Just hope the IV antibiotics they gave me yesterday at the hospital will provide enough cover till then. Oncologist had me stop the Ibrance until I'm done with the antibiotics. Up & down, over & under, around & around. Geez this cancer journey.
Okay, I'm gonna call it a night. Sleep well all.
Hello Sassy.

As I was scrolling back up to the top of this page I once again saw the pics Shep & Loverly posted for me of the Cairns. My heart just skips a beat at those precious little faces. I know, call me the crazy Cairn Lady.
Good Night again!
