Working on CO2 laser assisted mastectomy thread. Everyone here has had the breast work done. But my goal is to find out why this is not a usual treatment modality. We on BCO have power. I want to push for research to get this to be a treatment modality. This is the note to those that have posted and or may be interested.

I put this on the Co2 laser assisted mastectomy thread today. Now sending it by PM. to those that posted and a few others. That may have some interest in being involved.

This is the link to the thread for those that haven't been there and may want to follow.

Making some progress, I have a plan.

I have an appointment on Tuesday at 12noon to talk with Dr. Anselli. RE: what has been discussed here YAY.

Prior to that I said I would post here and ask for folks to formulate questions for him. I then would send them prior to our conversation. Along with my question(s).

I will also, be sending him this link for his review and preparation for our phone call.

ShepK! Whitmans Samplers?! Girl, you are deprived. I will bring gumbo. Was thinking about red beans and rice, but if we are going to snuggle under Ms. Sassy wings.....it would be dangerous if we don't have access to Beano.

I remember Ebru from Rosevalley tribute thread too. Ebru was a beautiful lady with a beautiful soul. Great loss. Not fair.

    BTW, LOVE you too.

Ms. Sas, you thrive on staying busy and keeping that brain of yours active. Bless you. Wish I have half of your active brain.

Feline, I love the scarecrow. We are living in a world of selfie or as DH pronounced it one time, "self fi"...as in wi-fi.

    WELCOME JEENEE!!!!

Each time I see a rainbow, I am reminded of God's love. Someday I will share my rainbow story. Thinking of you Mags as you are having the service for your Beloved this morning. Sending hugs from 1607.1 miles away.

Welcome Jeenee, someone's here 24/7. we love new folks joining us. Don't let us overwhelm you and sure don't try to read back to catch up. We'd never see you again with 1400 some pages.

Loverly, Hahaha your right. Busy, busy ,busy. In the early 80's I went to a hypnotherapist b/c my busy mind worked in my sleep and all off hours. That was in the Paramedic education days. It was a very creative job and I got to do the creating. The hypnosis mostly worked, it wasn't perfect, but I was better.

Yes, you are correct no beans for this many people with out beano.

The rainbow is beautiful. I have to try and post the picture of the Rainbow after IRMA. It's on my neighbors phone. Someday.

well, Ativan used to work wonders enabling me beauty sleep every night.

I had total hyst done 11 days ago. Close to no issue but Insomnia came about BAM. Did not want to give up my uterus but it was either uterus now or uterus bomb as form of ovarian cancer in the near future since Mom had ovarian and BC. Thank god for b9 pathology report.

It must be all BC related TXs w other surgeries. I feel fatigued all the time starting a few days ago,. Right now I will take fatigue induced sleep to heal. I stilm have two more months of disability left.

DH started showing emotional and physical fatigue. I am worried,

Hi, Casti, glad you had those puppies out. But oh my yes, it can be a body surprise if they were still working. Even a little bit. Insomnia being one of the worst effects besides hot flashes and mood swings.

Someone's around here most times. It's fairly quiet on the weekend which actually is a good thing. It says folks are doing family and friend things. But doesn't mean people aren't watching. I used to come on when it was truly just a night thing and go YOooohoo any one there? Or even talk to myself? You can see posts like that before page 180. After page 180 it became a 24/7 thread. If you post in the middle of the night, someone will answer you the next day.

In the old days, I met many from Australia, New Zealand, and Auckland as that was their daytime. Long time they've had there own threads.

I will try and link to the Hot-flash forum. It's an inactive group. I was there in the early days. We did lot's of work on stuff related to hotflash' s first 30 some pages.

Ativan is a great drug. Minimal side effects. Rarely, very rarely addicting. Usual dose 1-2 mg. Myself I had to take 4 mg for sleep. I took it with Melatonin 10 mg. Usual dose 3-6 didn't cut it for me. But I posted a study a few pages ago that said it showed a benefit in ER+ BC and Met's at the 10-30mg level. Who knows may have been one of those inadvertent things as to why I didn't met's. (my numbers said I should have).

Anywhooses. Hope you come back, you will find a supportive community. But I encourage all new members to lurk and wander looking at threads to see what you think and where you feel comfortable setting down roots for a social group. Technical things can be handled, but there are so many technically specific threads. We talk technical stuff, but it's more social than technical. But we take care of each other.

BUT I'm a technical gal (old nurse) on some stuff. No clue about other stuff. Completely no knowledge about chemo drugs. I or others can, generally, get you off to the right technical thread.

Trust me finding a social thread can be more difficult than a technical thread. I may have dozen's of technical threads on my favs. I have one social thread.

Jeenee and Casti come back if you so wish you are quite welcome.

Mimi - have you tried a hint of melatonin before bed? It helps me. I take 5 mg only so I can sleep it off.

Jeneen - welcome. Sas - good image for us, owlettes in the nest. With food. Lotsa food.

The new drug I take at night that is supposed to help w the cough reflex, that remains to be seen if it helps w that. But it does help me sleep through the night and not even get up for bathroom which I did about every hour before. Proof my bladder still works anyway. And I have not cried in three days and I was often each week, very often. And have not yelled at Hubby for days. So it is doing something for the anxiety. I think I will keep it for a long while.

    Caught up w reading.

Bluebird, I am glad to hear you have positive side effects with the drug.

    WELCOME Mimi !

Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to the men and women who made the sacrifice.

Sassy: sorry, I got sucked into classwork and prying my squirrelly veteran friend (the one from accounting last summer) off the ceiling after he got behind in *his* classwork--I haven't even asked around about the virtual private networks yet. Curiously enough, I'm taking a class in IT support and this very question (what computer should I buy?) is one of the ones we had to answer.

The first question is not so much "Which brand should I buy?" but rather "What do I plan to be doing with it?" Desktop or laptop? The latter gives you more flexibility in designing your own, should you dare to go that route (it's not that hard for the brave and fearless Woman), as you have more choices in terms of upgrading RAM, graphics/video, hard drives within the computer, and wider choice of monitors. Well, OK: you have a choice of monitors.

If a laptop: Working mostly in one spot? Toting it around from place to place? That'll affect size and therefore weight. How long are you going to be using it without access to an outlet? That'll determine how important battery life is. How are you going to be using it? Word processing-y sorts of things or streaming videos or heavy-duty gaming? Is it going to be your primary computer, or will you be using it in conjunction with a desktop?

....and so on and so on.

I've had good luck with my HP laptops, and I'm hard on my toys, I mean really hard. But I've had equally good luck with Dells. There's alwo Lenovo and Asus....

I have an Asus laptop and use it as primary - huge monitor on the other side of table, regular quiet keyboard for me, laptop is off on the shelf to the right side of me. When I want it to go, just unplug and pack.

    Thanks Loveroflife.

Grabbed another hour. Its just not my night. Must be thinking about Liver biopsy on Monday. Would prefer to be well rested. Abdominal discomfort keeps me up. Think its digestive, not liver related, but has been a real problem lately.

I’m interested that you have an Asus, Bluebird, as a young man at Best Buy recommended one to me (I need a new laptop as my current one is driving me crazy!). I don’t know anything about the brand so delayed my decision. I assume you’ve had good luck with it?

Tapper/Bluebird/Sassy: if it's any help, one of my teachers this semester (GIS, mapping, WebDev) set up his classroom/lab with ASUS whatever the plural is, for student use and for his own use as live chat/video learning for the distance learner students.

....did that even make sense? A teacher who works in the tech end of things likes them. A lot.
