Ms. Spookie, how is the pump working for you???
0 -
I've used it twice, I think there's a tiny bit of reduction of swelling.

today went to see the Book of Kells and the library at Trinity College. Really like the library.

Hey there Paaty, glad to see you.
Spookie, gas is $3.04 in N CA. Here in Dublin its €1.47 which equals about $6 a gallon.

also went to the Dublin Castle. Don't know what we're doing tomorrow. SIL hurt her hip so walking is getting painful.

Marvelous pictures Smaarty. Too bad about SIL. Hope her hip gets to feeling better. Maybe arrange a couple of quieter days, less walking.
Patty - Hootie Hoo back atcha.
Mags - are you off on adventures with your new car?
Weeelll the unexpected happened. It is raining buckets. Our dreaded HIGH has shifted just a bit west and allowed storms from OK to come down. Just my county and westward, not into Ft Worth proper. I'll take anything. AND it's 82 degrees outside. I feel like going outside and dancing. We had an electric warning yesterday and were expecting one again today but I think maybe the tide has turned some. It is still August. Oh gosh it is thundering.

The corpse flower is pollinated by carrion flies.
Gas here is $3.27 for the cheapest.

Smarty- love the pics. I wish I were there too! Dublin Castle looks fab!

Hootie Hoo Patty
Marley going to spend the afternoon looking at the book. Thanks
poo can't do.Gas was something like .50 more in my little town than over at Spookie's Always hire here. Total ripoff. One time similar with a US HWY1 place . He said it was a different market. May look into picketing.
Great pics Smarrty. How are the restaurants? Pubs?
Afternoon all

someone ask for interior pics and I decided this was appropriate. And funny. This is my bathroom. Notice the little white handle just above the towel. This is a water closet that is used over here. Have run across several of them so far. OMD! How do BC women over here flush??! This isn't easy to do with the implants. It's a little hard to pull down and the muscles twitch!

Frey...did you paint that??
Ladies, I need to get this off my chest. I don't know where else to go, so excuse my whine or whatever this is.
A year ago this time I was finishing up rads and wondering if I'd ever feel normal again. Fast forward to today, and I'm back to work, my hair is growing in and things are pretty much back to "normal". I'm training for a new position, flying to Missouri twice a week in a corporate jet, I'm working on getting healthier and trying to be happier. Some days I feel like everything is golden, but then suddenly, I'll take a down turn and start to worry.
Is this pain between my shoulders that wont go away...is it....could it be...cancer? Am I being foolish for worrying or foolish for thinking that everything is okay?
IDK, I'm just in a weird mood this afternoon. I want to seize the day, but I also don't want to be lulled into a false sense of security.
((hugs)) everyone and thanks for reading/listening

tang, you are not being weird! We lose our sense of calm or innocence with this BC crap. If it persists then call your doc. I just went thru this in April, had tests, nothing showed up. Still get little pain in my stomach, but try not to think about it much.
I think we will from now on always think cancer first with anything that bothers us. Just another benefit from BC!
0 -
Tang, imho your normal on all questions. Stupid cancer takes away fear of old age stuff. We always blame cancer for everything. Cuz it's so hateful.

A corporate jet?
0 -
Yes...a corporate jet!!

crap I can't figure out how to rotate it. Anyway, when I got this job I knew I'd have to travel more than I ever had before and that was going to be tough since I HATE flying. I have to pinch myself that I am doing this because it is so out of the norm for me! I suppose this is one thing that cancer has given me, the nerve to step outside of my comfort zone.
Anyway, the jet is awesome without a doubt

Thanks for getting me, that is the beauty of this board.

Here's Izzy with Teddy and Hello Kitty

This was last weekend at our "almost sleepover" Frozen birthday party. She was Elsa
A friend came and did face painting and they had a ball. 0 -
Sassy, I know she meant a "corporate jet", not the corporate jet - Southwest Airlines. Tang, We all worry about if and when the C will come back. But when I was declared a 4, not much I can do, but to keep going. Scared, sometimes, worried, sometimes too, down occasionally. But enjoy each day.0
-
Did you just said that Tang's ail is as result of old age???...."fear of old age stuff" ? Tang, you are not that old, are you? I thought you weremuch younger than me?
0 -
I'm 41....dx at 39, so no I can't blame it all on old age right? ugggg
I'm also planning on dumping my MO, would this be bizarre after active tx ending to do this? I really don't care if it is or not to be honest. I'm tired of her and her crappy way of explaining stuff to me.

Wow!!! Nice jet. Are you one of the SSA?
I have this pain in my left armpit that comes and goes. There are times I worry that it's back. BC does take our sense of peace away. Yup, you are younger than me. I'm 46

EVERYbody is younger than me! Sorry Tang....sorry you get the blues.... but don't get it get you down.... Just WAIT until you are MY age, and you can't do 1/2 of what you could before.... I'm not worried about cancer coming back.... I just try and live every day, with what I have! Can't move around like I did.... But I shoveled 2 more holes out in the rocks in my parking today.... didn't fall once! I'm putting in 2 little bushes in the morning.
Had to soak it up good, before I plant them............. You TRAVEL IN A CORPORATE JET??? Do you know how many of us wish we had a job like that? In our lifetime EVER? All I can say is congratulations! You ROCK girl! Ever since your diagnosis! Look at how far you have come!
If you get cancer again, or fall and break something, then we just get up, and have to deal with all that crap again............. Just don't worry.... We have LOTS of time to worry, when something happens......... xoxoxo

Tang - Hugs girl. I think we all get that feeling no matter how far out we are (well maybe l0 years+ I might not). I feel exactly the same way about dumping my MO. We can have a dump the MO day. I would for sure if the one I wanted was not just in the same office/same waiting room. Geesh and mine is rated a top doc by Ft Worth Magazine. Maybe he's good at PR with other docs.
Cute Frozen almost sleepover. DD (age 28) I think still has a thing for Hello Kitty.
I am wondering IF it will even occur to his nurse when need a refill on my Fosamax next month that it says I'm on Prolia (not, by my choice). Betcha not. Betcha it just gets refilled as always.
And my mammo center called wanting to schedule my mammo. Ahh don't they need an order for that. I'm on yearly not 6 months. Didn't go last summer but didn't get this gotta schedule call. Slow day, revenues low? Not sure. MO/BS agree on yearly so not sure where this BS nonsense comes from.
Corporate jet? Where do you fly out of? I always think of Addison but know there's got to be a ton of others and much closer than Addison to you. I think Meacham Field here is a biggie or Alliance. But at Alliance you have to compete with all the freight planes.
Stupid me put something right in the way where I walk and slipped/tripped over it. I saw the tile floor coming but thankfully between my wrist, elbow and L ribs managed not to hit the floor. L ribs up under where lumpy was done. Darn it I wanted to enjoy a cocktail afternoon instead I indulged in 3 Advil.
Tea report - the Taylors tea room tea was OK. Again I'd not spend any extra for it. The thing I've enjoyed the most in the last few days is the loose Assam I found. That and more of the apple chai cold. Almost done with that WooHoo. It and the Lady Grey have moved into the same box. High only hit 87 today after the pourdown. I've even had the curtains open, unheard of for a summer afternoon.

tang, if you hate flying, and don't want to travel that much....stress tension , and all that stuff also causes a lot of pain cause we are not relaxed, and we clench are muscles when stressed. I get a ton of pain from muscle clenching stress....just a though

Goats, ouch!!!! Good thing you are on Prolia.
Izzy is cute!! I have a niece with the same nick name, short for Isabel.
Very good point Susan about the tensed back muscles when we are stressed. I find that when I have to work for a long time in front of a computer, I tend to get pain in my neck and in between the shoulder blades

Tang- well congrats on being a year out, feeling more normal, and all the wonderful things in your life.
Regarding weird pains, I get them all the time and always think there is something going on. I like to watch my pain or any other symptom and if it persists and or gets worse, I will go get it checked out first by my PCP. I had some breathing problems that did not go away this spring and that I thought were asthma but they lasted long enough for me to go be sure nothing more was going on. I was a-ok, just needed some advair for my breathing. Our docs encourage us to pay attention to things that linger. I hope the pain goes away!
I think many here are quite envious of the corporate jet. No waiting in line for you with your boarding pass!
Chevy- you are our resident matriarch of the thread I think?

Tang Sas has diagnosed me with an iPad inducing flashing light syndrome. 😊 I had something strange happen and impact my vision and ability to walk. Hasn't happened since, but my MO had a reaction that freaked me out. So now I sit here trying not to run away with it. Hugs. I think we all go there from time to time, and as sas has so importantly reminded me we should always tease out a diagnosis, no matter what that is.

Hi ladies! Hootie hoo Patty.
Sassy will have to send you a pix of my glassware. Hoping to find a matching cake plate. Think it's carnival glass. Iridescent.
Goats. Lady grey come in a yellow bag? Good cold? Must try if I can remember next time I'm in the big city.
Yes gas was almost $6 a gallon in Dublin and it cost $78 to fill up a vw golf and petrol stations not on every corner. None on my way to local shop or beach. Hope your still havin fun. Did you go to the natl stud?
Last summer ground beef (mince in Ireland) went up over $1 a lb. this year it's eggs. Local Aldi usually has eggs and milk for $1.69. Eggs were $2.50. Ridiculous. I "picked" my own eggs at the shop and put them in the carton in Ireland. Only brown eggs. Never saw any white ones. One week all six had double yolks.
I think my arm pain is trapped fluid. I have very mild LE but can tell when it's not moving. Usually resolves itself. Mopping or sweeping set it off. Yea spookie for the pump!
Sleep well.
