Beautiful photos! We got to Maine and New Hampshire once in the fall and it was just gorgeous. I really appreciate fall because I lived so long where there wasn't one (Houston) or weren't trees (Oklahoma). Our yard now has gigantic poplar trees, so we have a big dump in the fall.

Spookie, Queenie, Rosie, Loverly, Jazz, Kjones, Littlegoats, Teka, Mema, Chevy, Susan, Holeinone, Glennie, Kathy, Thank you for your prayers. I have faith that they helped. MY other DB got his network praying. And he's on a Rosary web. Sorry, if I missed anyone.
Mommy, sorry about your favorite aunt.........glad she is improving
Rosie glad that your catheter is in. "Oh, what a relief it is" Loveries name for it-Accessory fits. That spacey nurse certainly doesn't sound safe--scarey. If they check her off on what you describe, she's dangerous and they aren't doing their job.
Queenie I did a similar shirt a few years ago. Stopped at an insurance agency that had a sign out front that said "Save the Ta-Ta's , buy cancer insurance here". I said "Rad the shirt". They had their sign changed in less than 2 hours.
Loverly, what a wonderful walk, thank you. Literally, that was like my backyard in Akron. Across the top of Akron there is a 13 mile driving park. The land was donated by Seiberling a Rubber Baron like Firestone. What you posted was my backyard. It was stunning all year long.

I just talked with Charlie. Moving forward. He's doing better. Hemaglobin is steady for 36 hours.( Erhh, since all the praying started). Bladder cath came out earlier today. He has some leaking which is expected after a catheter that's been in the length of time his has been. I told him of your prayers and support. He wanted me to thank you all
Tomorrow will determine if he can safely be discharged, but the doc is in agreement if his numbers aren't good he stays.HUGS and Thank you again....

Loverly: (is calmed by the pictures)
Sas: (mildly confused) What did I say in re. tshirts? But bracing myself for (inadvertently) offensive signs. One of the local support groups is big on breast cancer awareness chit next month. Otherwise lovely ladies. But I plan on showing up to the next meeting in something which clashes virulently with pink, and blandly say I'll be out of town for ALL their activities.

Queenie, sorry, it was Glennie that posted this shirt. The year I started Pinktober Revolution thread, We were doing lot's of slogans. One of the slogans I did was " Pinktober Revolution Cancer is a Disease Not a Marketing Opportunity." Another one was "Pinktober Revolution: What Color Do You Associate with Dead? Breast Cancer Kills"

Loverly, I found these
Sand Run Pkwy, Akron, OH
Effective Solutions for the Sand Run Corridor
This ford was always fun, until we were wading on the left side and I went down to my knees in quiksand. DS was a few feet away. He was a toddler. Not sure his head would have been seen if he were the one that stepped into it.Different view of the ford.

Mamma Ray, Thanks for dropping in. I'm guessing your father is better, which is good news. Bummer on the pet scan, grrrr. (((((Hugs)))))

Hi MammaRay, good to see you, but sorry for the not so good news on the PET scan. Is your father out of the woods? Life is full of challenges. If it's not one thing, it's another. This hip/back pain I have does not want let go. I have had it since July. PCP wants to order XRay, but I am nervous about what they will find. So I am stalling to see if there is a pattern. I really don't want to give up playing badminton as it's my outlet of stress. Sometimes knowing too much is not good. Knowledge is supposed to empower you, but asSolomon said, "the more you know, the more you worry".

Akron seems like a neat place to hike. If I want to hike, I need to drive at least an hour and a half west or east. It's flat where we live. I would love to take a photography class one of these days to capture the beauties of life.
Ms. Sas, I am happy to hear that DB's condition is improving...praise God!! We don't realize how little control we have in situations like this. I am so sorry that he has more battles ahead of him.

MammaRay, you want me to sing to you so you can fall asleep? Hah! Let it out...whatever it is in your mind. Rose did and she said that it's therapeutic. Let it out, then replace it with His promises and Truth. And no, I have never been to Ohio. Ms. Sas used to live in Akron

MammaRay- good to see you here and hope the home schooling goes well. I am sorry to hear about your father and hope he is doing better. Also hugs to you with coping with the ups and downs of your dx. Sorry to hear the PET scan did not give favorable results. No one thinks about getting a bc dx in their 30s, so it would be very hard to accept. I am glad they are giving you a new treatment to try to help you in every way possible. We are glad to have you back here with us.

Comfort hug to you dear. Actually, I am not sure what I can say to give you comfort because I have not walked in your shoes. One day at a time. Keep your focus on Him. If you need to, you can cry out to Him. It has always helped me. It's my privilege to pray for you

mammaray. It takes awhile to wrap your mind around it. Tx isn't always harsh. Mine was tamox for two years. I know I'll have anxiety before appts and will usually fight with someone. Afterwards I might hide in my bedroom for a couple hours a day then life goes on. I have two little ones and they keep you busy with life. I hope you have found a Mother's Day out program. Check out churches or our high school has a daycare program or the Y has child watch for 2 hours while you take a class. I recommend yoga and Zumba. Pool if it's warm enough. Mine isn't. Hang in there. You can always PM me. I've been stIV for two years. My kids are 6 and 3.
I missed sass post about brother. Yes!
Lover ky. Get a referral to PT. PCP can write it. It's amazing how a few targeted exercises can change your life. My knees are weak and my hip is tight not cancer. Wish I had done it sooner. Pain wears you down.

Morning, up early for some, late for others. Well, folks I lost my post, but didn't touch another key. Hit cntrl z and it reappeared. YAY
MammaRay--Summit Mall. Fairlawn. I loved west akron &fairlawn heights. Have you been to WestPoint Market. Sadly, it's going out of business. A Whole Foods is buying it. Where that arrow on the map is pretty close to where I lived. Who would think there would be quiksand in a little stream in the valley. Worked at Akron General for 14 years. My favorite doc was George Littman. We started together in 1974 when the new Telemetry started at AGMC. He was in charge of the heart program up until recently. Probably retired by now. Sorry about the bad news on the PET. Glad your Dad is okay. One day at a time, and then they're are many. Everyday is an adventure. What's that phrase--good, bad, but never indifferent. The 'never indifferent' takes on new meaning for us.
No new numbers on Charlie. Perhaps, they are drawing them later to let him sleep. Asked several nights if this could be done. Plus no vital signs between 11 and 6. He sounded like his old self yesterday afternoon. Thanks again

Have a lovely day everyone, pain free and happy and drained Rosie.

Just a last thought about the ford. It would flood with heavy rains. Then it would be a lengthy detour. None of us wanted a bridge to 'fix' it. The ford was part of the charm. First time my other brother was there, we told him we were going to take him to see the ford. When we were done, he asked where the ford was? He thought it was a car

Well, I didn't remember ever hearing of a "ford" either.... Only my dad's 36 Ford... guess that is not what you meant? You mean like a little bit of water run-off over a road? We get those going up in the Mountains sometimes.... Little water-falls coming down, then spilling over onto the road.
MammaRay, Good MORning! I feel so bad for you younger gals, and raising little kiddles......... and SURE, we talk about everything under the sun here..
My HIP is driving me nuts...I keep trying to baby-it, thinking it's just nothing important... And I try and research something like "Pain 2 years after ORIF surgery on Femur" and can't come up with anything..... Guess I'll ask the Doc when I go for my physical if it doesn't let up... Then she will refer me to the surgeon for x-rays to see if something is going on..... I read that maybe a shot of cortisone could help.... And SOMEtimes they take out the rod, and screws, but that really doesn't sound like something I would like to do...........
COULD be something like Bursitis going on in there? 2 Aleve helps a little, but I'll just wait a little...... Can't even Pole dance!
Morning Zills, Jazzy, Wren & Sass! Is Spookie still in bed? Or out on her porch taking pictures of the Thermometer? It's only 57 here this morning! You Florida girls would have your Parka's on.......

Mornin Chevy. Good dog, 57* we'd be hunkered down. blankets, several layers of clothes. Heat on. You northerners would be in shorts, turtlenecks and deck shoes. Yes, we are spoiled, paradise everyday. Right now I'm keeping the thermostat set at 80 for ac. Sometimes 81. Sorry, about your hip. Hope you don't put it off to long. Do you have to see your PCP to get a referral b/c of insurance? Usually, since you were an existing patient, you should be able to call your ortho docs office and say he did surgery and the hip is bothering you now. Give it a try.

I know.... I'll bet I can do that....... Maybe just an x-ray is all I need... Then a shot...
Can you or Spookie post that one picture of when we were together for the Mods?

Chevy,I think they want individual pics. Did I interpret that wrong? b/c of the history?
