    awwww, cute!

Two days ago I had buds on my lilacs; today we have ice, snow & sleet. Decided to play it safe, stay off the roads & take a snow day. Glad I did, the wind is starting to howl. Happy Monday. :-)

8 inches. Winter has arrived. Drivers are driving either like they've never seen snow before or like they just don't care there's ice and snow on the road! LOL Be careful out there! Had lovely neighbors blow my snow off the driveway and sidewalks. Thank goodness! image

We ended up with about 8 inches. We seem to be at the top edge of the snow. I only drove to the bridal shop to look at dresses for renewal next summer and daughters to watch kids until she got done at Urgent Care.

We got 6-7 inches of snow but were at the top edge of that nasty band of sleet. TG the ice storm missed us but were ready in case we lost power. Too much fun shoveling two places, esp when plow comes through and pushes 2/3 of the snow from the street onto our sidewalk. Thanks guys! Great exercise, though, and got to meet some of the new neighbors. Hoping reno is done by mid-Jan so we can move and close on current house but not holding my breath.

Wishing everyone a safe, healthy & Happy New Year! ♥ to all

Hi goldenbride/Shelly: I think Dr K is probably fine for many issues but the best plastic surgeon for breast reconstruction around here is John Hijjawi at Froedtert. Even if he's out of network, try to get approval.

So I assume the Packers are continuing in the playoffs - do they invite opponents to Green Bay when it's -10

If any of you ladies live in the Madison area, I will be playing Madison Songwriters-in-the-Round at the Brink Lounge at 7 pm Thurs. Jan. 21 (2 days before I turn 65). And for those in Kenosha/Racine/Milwaukee, my duo will be doing the Stained Rug House Concert Series in Wauconda, IL Fri. Feb. 12 (since it’s a house concert and for insurance & permit reasons needs to stay below radar, PM me for details on how to get an invitation).

I love seeing live music! Maybe I can hit one of your gigs someday...keep us posted on them.

I second the Dr Hijjawi recommendation. I am not one to put doctors on a pedestal...at all... but he is my hero.

In hibernation again due to chilling cold, getting caught up on messages here. The new SE WI chapter of FORCE for carriers of hereditary breast/ovarian cancer mutations is having another meeting on Sunday afternoon, 1/31/16.

Hoping Pam from Kenosha is moving forward on a support group in that area. I have found our local ladies to be very helpful and encouraging. We exercise in a warm water pool class weekly and meet for brunch monthly

hi all, back from a few days out of town. I like to travel but good to be home. New house coming along slow but sure. Plumbing is stubbed in and now waiting on city inspector. Once we get the green light we can rock & roll.

Best wishes & prayers for those in the path of The Storm!

I'm one of those in the path of the storm. Won't be getting it as bad as some of my East Coast relatives that are south of me.

Because of snow & cold, my Madison gig at the Brink was postponed to this coming Thurs. Jan. 27--same bat-time, same bat-channel. Come say hi if you’re in the area.

Hi everyone - it has been awhile. Things are going well.

For Kenosha area people I suggest you check out Circle of Hope. They have an active group meeting once a month and have informational booths at several area events. They are a great support group.

hi pebee, good to see you!

Three weeks until we close on current house and turn over the keys. OMG so much to do! Drywall is up and kitchen floor is in. Bathroom fixtures and tile floor to be installed early next week. Paint and carpeting late next week. Hope so, DH has men with trucks coming week after next to help move furniture. My SIL came to help yesterday and we got the kitchen packed and all my books boxed up and moved. Fingers crossed, I will have the last week of the month to get this place completely empty & clean.

Hope this finds everyone doing well & staying warm and enjoying the nice sunshine this morning. ♥

Looking forward to a taste of Spring this week! Still looking for a support group - Kenosha is a bit far but maybe when the weather gets more predictable. Anyone heard from Louisap ? She had PM'd me back in Jan but i was slow to respond...thanks!
