Hello November, and Back-to-Real-Time greetings, dear Dairylanders!

Coming event in November, southeastern Wisconsin, is the Stillwaters Harvest Ball.

Saturday 14th in Waukesha. Stillwaters provides counseling services to cancer patients and their loved ones FREE of charge. They are wonderful! This is their main fund-raiser of the year. Dinner, drinks, auction (both silent and voice), other opportunities to donate. Music and dancing later in the evening. You can read more about this event here:

    http://www.stillwaterscenter.org/support-our-missi...

From that link I think you can noodle around and find out more about their organization, too.

Anyone going, please let me know, so we can meet up and maybe even sit together. I have made this organization my Number One charity for the past two years and shall probably continue to do so.

Hi Evie/Artsee: is that a self-portrait? We could be sisters! My dad's large family is from Sheboygan. I hardly know who all my cousins are, maybe we're related...

OncoWarrior, the calendar is packed with music events so the 14th is not good for us. The Milwaukee Symphony, for the second year in a row, is inviting community members to join them for a free concert. They gave me first violin section parts again but this time we play at Uihlein Hall, on Sunday the 21st. I've never been on stage at the Performing Arts Center. Should be a ton of fun especially if my lymphedema arm behaves.

vinrph...My son was in the Waukesha National Guard unit for several years. He got a promotion so we went down to celebrate with him...he wanted to go to the German restaurant....after almost having a coronary after seeing the prices we had a fantastic dinner....I guess that is why we have a Mastercard:)

Congrats to tjh on son's promotion! Just last night, when I didn't feel like cooking, I had my hubby pick up a couple of Gasthaus fish fries for dinner. It was a busy week doing last minute outdoor work during the warmer days...

    Lots of tired; Sometimes wired;

Wisconsin ladies! has anyone been treated for Post Mastectomy Pain Syndrome? I have just been researching & discovered Facebook websites full of women who, like me & perhaps you, are suffering from chronic continued pain from their breast surgery. It seems there are doctors around the country taking this very seriously ( we are growing in numbers) and have several very alluring remedies - injections at trigger points, nerve surgeries, scar tissue removal...something besides here's your Lyrica & your medical marijuana card...

has anyone been treated for this? I have been in touch with my surgeon at UWMadison, Dr Wilke, and she said they are just starting a program - headed by a Dr. Sara Christensen Holz - that she will try to get me in. Anyone else out of Madison?

Don't know about you gals but i am not happy dealing with this chronic pain & would be happy to have someone finally address it.

If you are a Facebooker there are a couple of sites open ( they say there are closed but just ask to join) for PMPS sufferers - check it out

hi Wisconsin ladies! Been off the boards a while but wanted to check in. Thx Moon for the nudge.

We bought a fixer-upper about a mile from here so crazy busy getting new house ready for occupancy and current house ready for sale. We're going from 800 sq ft to 1200 so woo hoo! no more tiny house. Then there's the usual stuff like work and special things like the holidays.

Walked a Jingle Bell 5K last weekend but no snow. We've only gotten one snowstorm so far this year but it was a doozy - 14 inches - and we had two places to shovel. That ergonomic snow shovel was worth every penny.

gentle ((hugs)) and ♥ to all

I just found out that there was a WI page. I haven't been on this site too much. I'm the one that Badger mentioned. I'm in the process of trying to put together a support group to meet monthly or every couple of months in the Kenosha area. Depending on where members live we can alternate different areas. I'm forming it for support, information & friendship. It can be formed any way since it isn't formed yet. I'd like it to be a casual group where everyone can be open & hopefully get their needs met. I'm not sure if there is anyone here in these areas. If anyone is interested, has questions feel free to message me. Thanks & feel well.

There is a support group that meets first Tuesday of the month 10am, at the Reiman Center on Rawson Ave near 76th street in Franklin. The facility is connected with Wheaton Franciscan (some refer to that as WTF Medical group - - ha-ha), but the support group is open to everyone. PM me and I can give more detailed directions.

Happy Holidays everyone. It was nice to see Slice of Ice finally open with the weather getting a little cooler. Can't say I've minded the milder weather. It has been perfect for getting out and enjoying the lights and displays. We had some out of town guests in a couple of weeks ago and we spent the entire night out on Plum's outdoor seating next to the fire. How many times in December can you spend all night outside just enjoying the evening? I think downtown gets more beautiful every year we are here.
