Good evening friends- long weekend was good. Hot springs were restorative in ways I needed. I am refocusing on some other work things and also taking a class the week after next.

A friend/fellow BCO sister shared this on FB and thought I would share it with you.

Morning ladies. Lots to catch up on. Been very busy here. Lots to do and lots on my mind.

Oncologist unscheduled appointment today :( Sent an email to them describing issues, areas of concern, and the Onc wants to see me which I figured he would. Kind of glad.

I had a bump appear beginning of May just below my incision. Another one popped up last week above my left breast, a good bit above the scar. Then there's my 'string of pearls' bumps *sigh* and my belly is still terribly uncomfortable. Not sure if I should push for an ultrasound, and MRI....I should would like to know what they are NOT thou... make me feel a lot better. Guess this is how life will be now, wondering what every abnormality is. Fun times...

Hope all are doing well. I have been trying to keep up via email. This is the busiest time for my department. We can get a lot done in Summer when classes are at a minimum.

Hope all are doing ok...I haven't felt much like typing...and surely don't feel in a place to comfort or advise others...

Simplicity- thanks for letting us know how you are doing. I think ultrasounds are a good and quick way to rule out anything that may not be scar tissue (so often it is for us).

You may have heard on the news about Olivia Newton John has her bc back after 25 years and with mets in her lower back (not sure if it is in sacrum or spine itself). I read some posts on FB about it and am always amazed what people have to say about this. Why didn't she have a double mx? She must have not been taking care of herself, etc. Anyways, there was one woman who said she was a bc survivor and that once you have bc, you will never rest easy. Touche. Let us know what you find out?

BB- how are you doing? Taking each day as it comes?

E- how is the garden doing?

    Lilly- sending you big hugs.

June- I was thinking about you this week and that NYC must be really nice right now?

    Hoping everyone is hanging in.....

Thinking of you on Mon Simplicity hoping it's all good.

I "celebrated" my 2 year cancerversary yesterday. 6/2 is also my mom's birthday. Happy versaries to both of us. Follow up on Mon with ps on stitches. Last Mon he said it looked good but of course won't know if it's all closed until the stitches come out. That's on tap a week from this Mon. Gulp.

On Tues my dad has part of his enlarged prostate taken off. His bladder isn't emptying completely. He's 78 and in very good shape. Still works, eats almost a vegan diet, and plays tennis. So he has that going in. Even so as with any procedure you never know if you may get infected or what so of course I'm nervous for him. Found a site for a good variety fruit basket (he doesn't eat junk to include cheese and crackers..) and now on the search for a nice coffee table plant so he sees it. He has stairs upstairs to all the bedrooms that's as steep as a mountain so he'll be downstairs on the couch for awhile. Thankfully bro lives an hour away and will be with him until he's able to do it on his own.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. Daily nap time for me now! :)

Good afternoon friends- busy weekend and week ahead but pooping in to say hi. We have a nice day going on here and was out on the patio this morning admiring all the green. The cooler spring has lead to more verdant gardens and no real heat yet. By the time we get to June, it can be pushing into the upper 90s to 100. We may get to the 90s this week, but as we folks in the southwest say "oh but it is a dry heat."

Went to play music today, did some shopping and there was wine tasting where ever I went! I got two more bottles of wine as a result (someone please stop me). I got a large bottle of something called Charles and Charles Rose (2016) from Whole Foods and also a nice red blend from Menage a Trois called Silk. As good as any expensive red meritage I have had in other places. Bonus was getting carded not once but TWICE today. Going to have drinks and appetizers on the patio tonight with some fellow healthcare IT consultants as my next adventure and off to Santa Fe with a friend tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a good rest of the weekend and will pop back in Monday!

hi everyone...it's been a long time.

next friday will be my last day at my current job, taking a week off then going to the new job on the monday after the break.

the reason i am moving on was because one of the management d*ckhead is a sexist, so that's the end of it. it took me a while to find the new job. and i am so happy to close this chapter of my life. i will be doing similar things in the new job but will also be working on new things. it's a little scary to be honest with you but I also have been looking for something like this as well.

    have a good weekend ladies....

June- congrats on the new job! I know you have struggled in this current job with that bad boss. And as we all know, people don't quit their jobs, they quit their bosses. I hope you end up with some great new projects and have an awesome leader at your new position.

I hope you enjoy your week off. Are you going anywhere or just having some staycation?

jazzy - thanks!! and wow it's so true. i quit my boss not the job, i actually loved it, lol.

it's just a staycation for me, i had two trips within the pass three months so i need to stop spending...i'll need to declutter the closet so i don't have to search for clothes. minimalism is the way to go.

June- I finished cleaning out the closets and donated a bunch, also took things to consignment and now can locate all the things that fit, look good and that I enjoy wearing.

Good luck with the clean out and best of luck at the new job. May your new boss be most excellent and the job be fulfilling!

Simplicity- good to hear the lumps & bumps appear to be scar tissue. I have so much in both breasts but always feeling around things to make sure there are no new surprises in unscarred areas. I am glad to hear you are camping. Try to enjoy nature and not get pushed to do too much. The challenge for us all!

Talked to my old BF this week for his birthday and amazed how easy it has been for us to reconnect and talk about everything. I decided to ask about how long he has been divorced as I don't really want to be a rebound for him. In fact, that may have been what happened for us both years ago, we were both coming off other long term relationships when we met in our 20s. Although the timing was not right for us then, I think neither of us were really emotionally available to each other anyways. But now being a bit older and wiser, I know where those go rebound situations go and don't want that. Anyways, we are working on his plan to come right after July 4th for a few days and have a visit.

We talked about a few fun things we will do while he is here, and everything is feeling very good so far. Except that some days, the whole thing is totally overwhelming to me. I think it because it is him, but also think in my mind, I had rule out that I would ever want to get romantically involved again in the post cancer world. That being said, I am allowing myself to see where this goes and have ALOT more I need to know.

How is everyone else doing. E? BB? Lilly? Thinking June is enjoying the last of her time off before she begins here new job.

Off to a work related class I am taking this week and loving it! Wishing everyone a good weekend!

hi ladies hope all enjoying the weekend.

On my end I am good busy like always. Work is the same. School is good I have my mid term for level 2 accounting class this week so I am going to try to fucus this weekend and took 2 days off for the exam. So I think I should be able to manage . I also enrolled the gym this past Tuesday and I went Friday did a spinning class at 6:45am then straight to work at 8am to 4. So that was yesterday and this morning rode my bicycle to the gym so 25 minutes then a second spinning class from 10:30 am to 11:30 am rode back grab a bite and shower put on my pj's lol and want to start studying bit I am supper dead feel I want a nap lol I over did it I think lol but I must tell you it felt so good .I thought my body was not going to endure the spinning but I felt as if I never stopped. Also I don't know if it is the pills I bought with the b vitamins or what did it but the hot flashes stopped I still have trouble with the sleep and hope the gym ll help me. I am planning on doing cardio 3 times a week with the spinning class and weight on my own .

I also have been busy with my plants and squirrels who are my enemies now lol

Posted some pictures in the gardening tread

Also a bad news my grand pap the one in France with alzaimer had pain and mami took him to the hospital it turned out a cancer tumor in his intestine any way surgery was yesterday they took 1m of his intestines and I honestly think he won't come out alive . He is 88 so we all know what that may mean. I am so sad cuz she is alone and well today I was told that my sister will flight there this week to help out. I amazing how much grand ma has endure this week and it makes me sad and ungry that I cant do anything

E- sorry to hear about your papi and his GI cancer. I know there is a lot they won't do when folks are older. I hope they can make him comfortable. I know you were planning to go there for your next time off, maybe in July. Go to see your mami in any event friend. It will make you feel better.

Life can be cruel, but also lovely too.

I went to an event today where actor Jeff Bridges was doing a talk with music producer T-Bone Burnett (produced so much of the music you know both in his films and otherwise). Really great conversation about them, and their experiences in the movie and film industry. They both have done a lot of work here in New Mexico.

Here is my best pic from today.

    wow nice jazz

Ya I do want to visit but I honestly can't afford a trip now. The week I have off if I travel I ll be missing 2 class and my $ are low. The only reason I joined the gym was cuz I got a deal through work and I will pay it by weekly $15 but I can't afford to travel for a wile.

The $ I was sending to mexico for a year I need to pay now cuz it was with a loan so now slowly I will pay it off .

I will still see if I can I will go. But realistic now I am not able to say I can.

I just finished repotting another plant jazz and relocated it to my bedroom window away from squirrels lol

I can't wait for my rose plant to bloom. Is so close now bb look

E- your plants look great. I understand too about not being able to do a big trip right now. I have one I wanted to do later this year but it looks iffy for me to commit to. However, there is still time. I am sorry you cannot get over there to see them. So expensive to fly and all the rest. I pray things go as well as can be expected for the situation friend.

It is hot here now so I am trying to water a lot more and keep things going. My house sitting person who comes here to check on my house when I travel & does some watering for me has had a change in her situation (sick boyfriend who needs a lot of care), so I need to find someone who can come over and water when I cannot be here for things not on the drip system. I will get it figured out. It is really hot here now which is typical of June in the Southwest......

E, sorry to hear about your papi :( Seems like C is everywhere lately. Love your rose! Looks great. Mine out front looks blooms well, but the leaves get eaten by something. idk what.

lol That meme is funny and that girl reminds me so much of one of my besties. Looks just like her.

BB, june, lily? How are you ladies?

Surgeon Friday. Have to go in for US on right breast lumps, She is concerned about the initial one but also felt another. So, depending on US results, either an in office removal of nodule, or I can choose to have both nodules removed in the hospital :(:( Ugh. Surgeon hasnt called yet with US appt time. Wish she would. I am ready to find out what these are not!!

Simplicity- sending you good vibes for lumps on Friday. Hoping they are just scar material, which they often are. But we worry just the same. You need to know, and if they are anything, they need to go!

Funny that the photo is like someone you know. I have had enough comments about how I am this or that compared to an ex in the past. Sometimes in my favor, sometimes in hers. Men are stupid like that?

Would love to hear how BB is doing, Lilly too. And June when she is settled in to her new job?

I passed my scrum certification test yesterday and happy about that. Another credential for my resume!

Been talking a lot more to my former BF who is coming to visit. It is sort of confirming what I though may be true, he may be more in a place of needing a friend vs. anything else. And I am actually okay with that because I am not sure this is what I want. With that, I plan to enjoy his visit but also know that may be all it is. But I decided it may be good for me to put my toes in the water here to try to see how it goes with someone in the post cancer world. He is safe to me for that. May just be helping each other through some stuff right now.....
