Enerva- I am SO sorry about the loss of your brother. That is huge, and what you are going through both with your own bc and with your family cancer issues is more than anyone should have to bear. I am glad you were able to go see him and spend some time together this year. I lost a brother 24 years ago to a rare lung disease and it was very hard for a long time for all of us. My heart goes out to you and your family. I am also grateful you felt it was safe and time you could share that with us here.

I can understand why you are so concerned about your sister given that you have shared more of your family story with us. You keep at it with her and try to provide what you can from afar. I know it must be so hard on you to be so far away from them with this gong on.

And no one will ever fault you for not passing that test either. Fingers crossed you get good news this week. I know you really need some.

Hugs sister. We are here for you too.

oh you ladies are great plus I know I will be ok I am hoping fir the best outcome for my sister but also ready for bad news cuz at this point nothing surprises me. There is something that bothers me a bit and is some disconfort I feel in my chest when ever I sneez I think it is from the implants. Can't help to worry, now when they do blood test in us are they able to see if our lungs are affected just by blood test? Or do we need xrays?

Well my brothers and sisters took the brca1/2 test and are negative but now we do believe we carry another Wierd gen.  I still don't want to know I plan on moving on and what ever happen happen. Don't you girls worry I am ok I am more confident about the exam. I feel positive so we will see ;)

I haven't gotten any call regarding the date for my blood test for the surgery.  I looked at some videos early this morning and  I see why bb like the brava approach. I think it is a great opportunity. To have your on fat transferred. ;)

Oh, Enerva, I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother.  Your family is going through such an ordeal right now.  I'm so glad that you were able to see your brother and be with your family at that time.  What an incredibly strong and close family you have.

The same thing happened with my father several years ago - he was having leg pain, and months later the MRI found cancer, and then he was gone so quickly.

I'm glad you finally felt comfortable enough to share that news with us here.

Enerva- I think we may have talked about this here before, but there are several new generations of cancer gene tests and my BS is all over these as they come up. I had the latest one in February, and think there are even more genes they have found recently associated with BC but other types of cancers too.

BRACA is just the beginning, and these other genes they are finding are linked to other types of cancer like melanoma, colon cancer, and pancreatic too. You might want to ask your MO about the next generation of genetic testing to see if you can find out about having it done at some point. I would think with three siblings having cancer close together, you should have a good chance of getting it paid for.

Again, I am really sorry about all that has gone on. I am glad you feel positive about this latest exam and fingers crossed for some good news this week!

BB- sorry you are still under the weather. Glad your mom can help you with things, a relief from the financial worries so you can get the tooth looked at. I know I felt better when I went off the arimdex for 6 weeks last year.

Painting job is done and looks fabulous! I just love the color of the accent wall in the kitchen/dining area, the painters did too. Here is a pic of the accent wall and also of the master bedroom, now yellow-ish gold. I have to leave things off the walls in the BR through tomorrow, longer for the new pink wall as the paint is stickier and needs a longer time to set.

Since they finished the paint job sooner than expected (extra person helping this week), I am now getting the hardwood installer over tomorrow to measure the two rooms I want done this year while most of the stuff is out of those two rooms. He said he is only a few weeks out on his job (had to book the painter months in advance) so there is a good chance this will all be done by end of the month. Totally into this home reno work now!

Enerva- it looks good. You look beautiful with any hair style and color. Do you like it?

My hair is naturally very dark, but I am very over processed blonde now as I went gray years ago. I sometimes miss my dark, hair but cannot pull it off anymore.

    You enjoy it, looks great!

BB- because I color it, I get that grey "root rot" and with darker hair, harder to maintain. Less of an issue with blonde as the grey comes in at the roots.

I went grey early, probably genetic as my paternal grandfather was grey at 30. Started getting grey in my 20s, by the time I was 40, I was 75% grey. No one else went that grey that early, just me! So I starting highlighting it, and then eventually coloring the whole thing.

Enerva - I love the color.  You do look like you're 20 in that picture.  :-)

Genetic testing is still very new.  I tested positive for BRCA2, but another relative with early BC tested negative for it.  So, when I heard about the new genetic mutations that are being discovered, it made me wonder if there's another unknown genetic mutation that my relatives and I share.  E, did you hear about the beauty pageant contestant a couple of years ago who came forward to say she was having a double MX?  She's only in her early 20s.  She tested negative for BRCA, but she lost her mother young to BC.  So, she just figured she wasn't taking any chances and had the double MX.

BB - "The Butterfly Effect" had to be one of my favorite movies.  The second time I saw it, the ending had been changed, though.  So, there are at least two versions of the movie out there.

Jazzy - Glad the painting is coming along well.  :-)

Milky, Piper - Hope you're having a good day!

Jazzy - I started going gray in my 30s.  I do the same thing with the highlights.  This week, though, I'm trying a glaze.

Heading out again...  I'll check in later.

So much to read.......sending everyone a HUGE Gentle hug.

E, I am so very sorry about your brother. My deepest sympathies. And on a more recent note...You are gorgeous GF, inside and out!

Jazzy, I love the white sands pic...yet another destination to add to my bucket list. And like you and LIfe I have been going grey forever. now the lighter color is easier to blend and maintain. (My mother was almost completely grey by 30yo)

BB...hoping you are feeling better in the days (hours) to come :) Sending healing thoughts.......I do not disagree with you trying to save your teeth. I have had 2 root canals. Not as bad as one would think. My dentist(s) are so nice and know what a dental wimp I am. One tooth I have had the cap pop off twice, but better than having any thing pulled and having to get a plate to accommodate the empty space.

Work has been hellish the last 2 days. Apparently the 'Polar Vortex' babies are arriving..all over the city. Our unit is over capacity and there is no where to transfer anyone so we have to keep trying to create bed spaces. I cannot even explain that one. Suffice to say I am dog tired. My feet are so sore, as well my brain and actually my entire body. 2 Ladies from management had to work as staff today, with me.....hahahahaha.... In the end, I think we all had a new found respect for each other. In fact the one gal said she would definitely be contributing to my annual review in a very positive light.

Yeah on almost being done with the home improvements (for now) Jazz.......always feels good to have fresh paint.

I caved and got beer after work tonight. I had a weal moment. I suck! I NEED NEED to lose weight. And stop using an evening night cap as a crutch.

My son turns 20yo in 2 days. Seems like yesterday. I miss that little guy.

I liked the movie the 'Butterfly Effect' too. In fact, I often referred to my son as a young "Ashton" His reply: 'I get that a lot

Hoping for a more restful night ladies. As tired as I am, I may be up for a while tonight.

Guess a few of us can keep the midnight oil burning in the single ladies lounge

Awww, Piper, what a cute picture of your son when he was little.  He did grow up to resemble Ashton Kutcher, and that's a beautiful photo of the two of you.  You look very close.  It's obvious you've been a great mom.  :-)

Last night I couldn't sleep because of a stupid reason.  Let's just say that everything turned out OK today, so I expect to be able to sleep tonight.  I hope all of you enjoy a restful night tonight, too.  We're all dealing with so much right now, but it's good that we have this spot to talk with each other.

    I like that E. <3

Life, perhaps you feel like it is a "stupid" reason to not sleep, but we all have things in our lives we stress about.

I only hope that today it may have dulled and seem manageable. HUGS

Yeah. lol. My son, an Ashton-look-a-like, does attract the ladies of all ages. UGH! Now he does not keep his hair long. He gets it clipped, military/clean cut-like, which I like so much better.

I told him looks will only carry you so far in life. He is smart. I don't care if he goes to school, just find a decent job/career he likes and succeed in that. He is young I know, but wants to act like an adult without taking responsibility for his actions. Tired of his laziness around the house and even to the point I have to remind him to pay me for the phone. It ALL gets old.

I worked 2 daylights and get a break today as I go in tonight. I am tired. I fell asleep hard last night and woke to my sons alarm. Had to turn it off as he was gone. Fell back to sleep til 10am. I hate my mornings going to waste. Haven't found the energy to go for my walk. Maybe I will take a nap and go for a walk before I get ready for work. I hate that I used to be so motivated and I would have walked, had laundry done and maybe something cooking for dinner. UGH!!!

I am worried, because my feet are hurting more and more. It was bad when I was on Tami. Let up and now my bunions are worse than ever, which I think is affecting my entire foot?both feet.

Oh Well. Not something I am prepared to do anything about right now. I can still walk ;)

BB-hoping the pain is subsiding today and you are feeling better.

    Happy OTHD!

Wishing everyone an uneventful day and hoping for some sleep for all tonight...except me.LOL.....I will be getting paid to stay awake. ;)

Hi ladies- I live in a beautiful place. I spent a lot of time out in this state when I was in my 20's via grad school and a project that had me living here one winter. In 1987 after spending several months here, I knew I needed to move here some day. Then I did in 1996 at age 36, I took a leap of faith and did it. I won't say the first few years were easy, but that is true anywhere I moved before.

What it did do for me is it allowed me to do some things I never would have done had I stayed back east. Like have my own home (more affordable here), to work for myself (many do here), and also picked up learning jazz out here (hence my handle). Someone once told me as I was leaving that I was "summoned by the desert" and think that is true. I had to give up the life I thought I was supposed to have for the one that was truly waiting for me.

There are a few things about living here that are less desirable. This is not an easy place to work because in many ways, it is just backwards. Further behind the rest of the country. And I don't think the dating scene here is particularly good either for women. My single female friends here have similar laments. And the crime is much worse here than when I moved here 18 years ago. But that being said, I don't think working anywhere is easy these days, I don't think dating is easy for anyone I know anywhere either, and crime is a problem in every city these days. In the end, I do love my life here.

Enerva- don't ever rule out anything, you have that land in Mexico and it is still possible you may end up there some day. I know you probably cannot even think about having that dream right now with all you and your family are going through. I will say my hopes, dreams and wishes always helped me to keep going through the hard times in life. It fueled me to have something to think about beyond the immediate situation, whatever it was. I know you want to get out of the city to the country next, but keep that dream going. It all begins with a dream.

Piper- I do a lot of work in healthcare and can hook you up with the right people here for a nursing job if you ever do want to move here! Plenty of NICU's and PICU's here at the three area hospitals.

omg just lost a long post wth

Ok so here I start over.

Got a call from ps secretary appointment August 19, 2:30pm for blood test. I asked Her if I could have the codes for the implants sheathing gave me 4 codes.

Newbie am worry cuz in términos volume he ordered 605, 615, 650, 700

I now have 630 admits too small so why is he ordering 605,615?

Also 3 of 4 are texture which am not too crazy about, also the only one from.the list I sent him is the style20 700. now how does trust this now?

Ok here's what I plan to do. The daybof the surgery he asked me to remind him of a few things. So I will also telling to please use the style 20 700 first then if it does not fit or look right then try the 650, cuzbi fear he may start with The 605 then don't even try the style I want. I may sound crazy but thesis now giving me an anxiety and I know it ll get worse every day :(

Regarding the land, don't worrying a dream I will keep itvtook me 5 years to pay that land and I know as soon as I can I will go lol

I fall in love with cancun, tulum Maya Riviera. Ha ha ha mayor dreamer I am.

Love the concert vide,  I always wanted to learn to play guitar and my brothers are really good at it but I never did.

Saw U2 a few years back here in Toronto,  and I went to a Michael Jackson concert when I turn 15. His Europe tour I went to nice France to see him lol

Oh and a sugar land concert lol always wanted to learn country music dance ha ha ha never did
