3jaysmom~ bad choice of words on my part - the battery ran out of juice. I took her to a Walmart late that night but they didn't have that particular one. It was too late to try to Best Buy. Hopefully she got a spare in Colorado since she was heading up to Pikes Peak.
Amyjo49-we were able to see Mission Espada, San Juan, Conception, and the aquaduct for photo opps, and San Jose for the walking tour.
Goldie~I asked Chrissy how many people she will have met from the boards when she's done traveling, she said around 25. Bet it ends up more with this thread.

Hello, everyone,
Our dear Chrissy spent 5 days with me. She will post again soon. Fortunately, I have the very same camera as she, so she used my extra batteries until she left here. Now she is in Denver with Karen1956, who is taking her to the airport, bound for CA, at noon today.
We spent 2 great days doing a grand loop of over 500 miles through the mountains, at peak leaf season. I believe she snapped well over 700 photos. We spent Sun. night in Glenwood Springs, where we relaxed in the hot springs pool. Yesterday we took the cog rail to the top of Pikes Peak, where there was snow - elev. 14,115'. It was a blast. Homemade donuts and hot chocolate at the top, where it was 22 degrees!
Chrissy is one of the most wonderful women I've ever met. I'm so fortunate to have spent this time with her. Safe travels to CA and back home, Chrissy! Love you, and missing you! Ivy misses you, too - she was sniffing around the house for you!
Much love to Chrissy and all.

I'm checking my computer several times a day waiting for the next installment of the trip!
The squirrels in Fl are really overgrown rats! They're skinny, with less than bushy tails and they crawl on the screens... They're just now getting some of the acorns that are dropping.
Had a 57 Tbird... what fun!
