I won't be on here for a few days....am taking the Megabus to Chicago today after my treatment and will be coming back on Sat. night. This is the same dental meeting I went to last year. If I have access to a computer, I will check in, but if not did not want anyone worrying about me. I am not having any tests run today and am thinking my INR should be OK so I no longer need the shots. Several of you have mentioned how I can give them to myself and I have done that before, but we are thinking this should be resolved soon and the ins co always balked when I would get that Rx before so guess my onco figured it was just as easy for me to get them there. I don't care where I get them or who gives them to me as long as they work. Windy City, here I come. Hope the weather is as mild there as it has been here. Marybe

Marybe: Have a great time...you've earned it! You're like the energizer bunny...you just keep going...and going...and going! You could always come to Florida...it's beautiful down here this time of year!

I've been off for a few days. So glad to see that you and the Red Devil are continuing to drop those numbers off the cliff and into the deep blue sea!!!0

I got the results of my CA 27.29 that was done Feb.29, today and know I should be grateful for any drop, but must admit I am disappointed since I was getting spoiled by those big plunges. It is now 3,117.7. I know that is down, but it's been two weeks and that last time there was a huge change in just a week. I was hoping for the 2,000s....I asked one of my friends if I should be disappointed and she compared it to a diet, said maybe I was at a plateau and that now it will go more slowly, but still down.
More little SEs show up every day....nails are getting very yellow and have lifted (not an Adriamycin SE that I was aware of), my fingers are red and cracking (thought that was Xeloda, but I did not not get it with X) and some taste change. Of course the hair is almost gone, but only on my head.....still have lots of arm hair ( wish it would go) as well as my eyebrows and lashes.
Today I went to the doc after work for followup on my endoscopy report and complained about my watering eye that was matted this morning and found out I HAVE PINK EYE!! Pink Eye!! How did I get pink eye? So I started using sulfa drops this afternoon, Just woke up from a nap and eye is presently glued shut. Think I will go back to bed now and rest up since I am going to be driving to dear old dad's tomorrow morning, weather permitting. We did not get the bad stuff they were predicting, but it is quite windy out there.
I will get around to posting some pics from my Chicago trip next week ( a few are here and there on other threads) ,,,,,other than the fact, I lost my stuff on the very last cab ride, it was a great trip.

So happy for you and your plunging numbers, Marybe!! Awesome. Just awesome. Sorry about the pink-eye and clots. Good thing they caught those early.
Go celebrate. God is good!0 -
As long as they are down, that is the important thing. I got wierd, soft, icky nails from AC. Ah, pink-eye....another reason to dislike the color pink!

Marybe: The numbers are still going in the right direction and that is a good thing. The pink eye you can pick up from anywhere, and particularly if your immune system is somewhat compromised from your treatments. Good that you caught it early and got treatment.
Praying for ongoing good results for you!

Marybe, Sorry you're having the crappy SE's but so glad for the great results (TM's keep going down).

Thanks for your usual encouragement, everyone......know I can always count on all of you. Re SEs, they are not bad and I am being petty to even complain compared to what so many on the threads have had to put up with. I am just a bit disappointed that they did not go down more since they were making such huge drops the past few times. I recall at one time I was thrilled when they would go down 10 or 20, but of course that was back when we had not yet hit the 1000 mark....so it is all relative I guess.
The sun is shining....amazing considering what was going on and predicted yesterday. We were extremely fortunate in that nothing big hit close to us, but others certainly did get hit hard and I feel for them.
Now I am packed up and going to Dad's to see what we can accomplish this weekend. Have to get all the house projects finished up since we are going to be having a big 90th birthday party for him the end of May. I am leaving the dogs here so will be able to make better time and also not have to worry about Harley getting car sick.
My eye is doing OK, but I have to put a hot washcloth on it to get it open.....pretty sticky stuff. Amazing how fast that came and hope it leaves just as quickly.
Have a good weekend, ladies. Marybe

WOW!! It's his birthday time again!! Is he having them twice a year? I remember his last one so clearly!!
I think you've plateau'd too, I mean seriously, it can't keep going down at those kind of rates until it hits zero.....can it?

hi Marybe, another drop yay, thanks for sharing! Good luck and Godspeed, safe travels.

Pink Eye! JEEZ!!! Sometimes it never quits! But, glad the numbers are continuing to come down. Hope there's a huge plunge next time. Just glad they're still coming down.

Those numbers are going in the right direction, can't argue with that.

Back home....not as early as I would have liked to have been, but such is life. Barbe, That last party I had at my Dad's was a Christmas open house....have not really had a big birthday party for my dad since his 80th so it's time for one. I have my ex-boyfriend doing work at my Dad's house and let me tell you it does me a world of good to spend time with him.....makes me realize how lucky I am not to have ended up with him. If he didn't do such good work and didn't cut me a deal on his price, I would have someone else doing it....so when I am around him I am constantly biting my tongue and have to really talk to myself in order not to blow up. Is it me? Sadly, it is....they all get on my nerves.

Well, if he does good work at discount prices; then he is worth more than most old boyfriends anyway !0

me, to, ruthbru.. none of my exes were worth spending ANY time with!!discounts, or not..
just remember what a close call you had in Ron, and next time tim is nice, tink what it "could've" been.. they ALL drive us crazy, at times, even Mur.. he's off for a week, and we're fighting about him getting out of bed, and staying out for awhile..grrr... its only a week, its only a week.. it could be retirement...hahahah 3jays

Laughing about the "ex" talk ... I met my ex for lunch last November after not seeing each other for 40 years .... he is now one of my favorite "cyber" friends.

Quiet here...boyfriend was in his office all weekend working on setting up his new smart phone, who I think is smarter than he is right now:) I stay out of his way when he's on one of these projects.
We went out to dinner last night and first thing he laid it on the table and I knew he was going to forget it, so I offered to put it in my purse. You would have thought I was trying to steal it! It's not like it hasn't happened before that we've had to go back to restaurants to look for phones and glasses. Anyway, not a good suggestion, so next time I'll keep quiet and whatever happens...happens.
Have a great day everyone...I'm off to the gym to get some exercise.

I don't like that phones are being laid down on the dinner table. You know messages that there are message etc will show up on the phone when it is even off. So it is a constant disruption. It would be good if we could somehow make it a social error to put a phone on the table. It is so addictive and just not good for personal relationships.

great to hear the numbers are still going down, Marybe! Hope the reflux is better.

Ginger: That is such a pet peeve of mine...the phones are everywhere and people have absolutely no respect for others...restaurant, movie, theater, it doesn't matter, they are always looking and scrolling that phone. The grandchildren were bringing them to the dinner table at holidays until I put a stop to it...just put my foot down and said it was ridiculous! What could be that important that you couldn't even shut it off to watch a movie or enjoy an evening at the theater? And let's not forget the driving and texting which is so dangerous...people weaving all over the road as they dial and text! Sorry for the rant, but that one hit a nerve.
Moving on to exes...I have a few as well, but only stayed friends with one of them until he tried to borrow money from me a few years back. It wasn't happening! When I met the man I'm with now for 13 years I said right up front...no marriage! He loved it, but thought I would change my mind as time went on. I haven't, and he has adjusted to that. We are very comfortable with our arrangement.
Hope everyone has a great day!

When one of my customers (usually husband) responds to a cell phone, I stop talking dead. Then I wait. When they get off the phone or ignore it, I ask them to turn it off. I tell them I'm about to take a ton of their money and they might want to pay attention!! It usually gets a laugh and I don't care if I piss off the user. S/he wasn't paying attention anyway!!

I agree on the rudeness of so many cell phone users. Interestingly enough the place that I see the least cell phone intrusion is at bowling league. Most turn them off. Some put them on vibrate and return call between games if the call is urgent. I can recall only one real cell abuser. A couple of years ago we had one guy that was so addicted that he kept talking even as he threw the ball until he fell and hurt himself! And then he had to check his phone before he tried to get up. Even his team mates didn't rush to his aid.

Yep...boyfriend did it today in the restaurant...looking and playing with his new toy. I was going to say something, but then I wanted to go shopping after, so I decided to keep my mouth shut. You have to pick the time for your battles...he..he! The good news was he found a chair in the Mall and played with his toy until I was done and never complained...even bought me an outfit!
