    Good for u Yorkiemom.

for so many women at a certain age the tummy starts going and doing whatever it want.  It takes a lot more intense stomach excercise to help--another crummy thing we have in our lives.

Mybee: I love your posts - I too wish we could all get together and have a good, long talk (with lots of laughter) I really don't laugh either -----

But yesterday while walking with my exercise class something struck us all funny. And for the first time in YEARS, I was laughing to hard I almost had an accident--LOL.

    It felt, so good ----

Raku and mybee--where have I been I hadn't read the latest. I am so sorry u feel this way. And Raku losing u'r DH is a big blow to u and u'r family. Mybee, I didn't know u felt so so sad, I know everyone says this but it does pass--and u are a besutiful women with so many attributes--and where it comes to men I do have a hard time with that.  I believe no one needs a man to make them whole, it's wonderful to have a good man beside u and be a part of u'r life to create hsppiness--but first u have to be happy--A man is not responsible for anyone else happiness. We are responsible for our own, then it can be contagious.

And Raku what are the chances u would find the type of man like u'r DH, who u obviously still miss. It sounds like u were happy with him well there is no one else like him and in this time when u'r ill no one will come into replace what he would do.

I certainly won't say count ur blessings cuz when u'r in this state u feel hopeless, but hope is something u learn and give to u'rself as a gift. We all have times in our lives where it's like what are we doing here.  Well we're here and everyday is a gift from the universe and we are all part of it and we  all care too. I'm alone now and Im fine with it--I got used to it and there is no man that could possibly understand me anymore anyway so I wish u 2 would think about u'r life in general and u r here now and u can go up from here. I' sorry if I sound mean or harsh I just want u to feel better that's all.

dogsandjogs - so happy you had a good laugh.  Nice to hear!

Camille - Thank you for your warm words.  Kay is right that they are inspiring.  I too especially like the aspect of keeping hope alive; it is definitely something to keep in mind during those dark moments. And sometimes Raku -maybe just sitting and remembering, cherishing the warm times you had with your DH might be a good thing.  He was obviously such a sig. part of your life- No real need to put all those memories away.  It is sad to sit and cherish but doing so with a spirit of gratitude- sometimes I find it peaceful and reassuring to look at my memories as the sign of a life well lived.  Or at least filled with life.

    Shayne:

I didn't know colostrum was used as a supplement in humans. Where do you get that? And how were you told it would help?

I'm not good about taking supplements. I do take Vitamin D3 because low levels have been associated with breast cancer and I had very low levels when I was starting treatment. I take Calcium too and recently switched to a Calcium/Magnesium combination.

Calcium with D and vitamin B-12. Also have a protein powder drink daily. My cardiologist says I don't need any other vitamins as I'm eating a healthy diet.  The calcium is for my osteoporosis and the B12 is for the protein as I'm a vegan.

If you are adverse to taking soy prodcuts be careful with protein bars.  They have soy powder or protien in them quite often.  I do not eat them without checking the ingredients.

I wanted to add that I've gotten a flu shot the last 2 years and haven't gotten sick (except for my bc of course) once. Do flu shots have any effect, positive or negative on bc?

Im adverse to doing any kind of shots, flu or vaxs, as the ingredients list has so much crap in them.  I know this is a very controversial subject.  But you can google info on ingredients in shots if you want to know more

I don't get a flu shot as in the past they have given me the flu!  Every single time for years - I finally quit getting them.

And the doc talked me into getting a shot for whooping cough. Medicare would not pay so my insurance wouldn't either. It was $75 and I called the doc to complain. He would not reverse the charge---can you believe it?

I think he should have warned me in advance that Medicare did not pay for this.

Camille: Yes I was very disappointed in his unwillingness to write off the $75. It is a lot for me (who is on Soc. Sec.)

D&J  I am too, that why I really took that seriously. This last month I had to add more meds to take--and I have so so many and my first thought is how much is this going to cost? Now that's awful to have to be like this with health issues--it would be different if it was something I at least enjoyed.Laughing Bit it usually isn't.  This stupid disease does a big number on finances--I was close to retirement but need a couple of more years to work for better retirement and it didn't happen.  It not only took my health, it robbed me of what future I could have had. I uess it evens out. LOL

Starting to get that anxiety/depression again, now that I am on Aromasin every night. Same as other AI's. Didn't want to go on an anti-depressant, but thinking I may have to try it. Hate to add ANOTHER med. Any success stories out there with starting anti-depressant to treat Aromasin side effects? I need some hope. Thanks.

I have split my little, tiny pill in half and am taking it twice a day.  This seems to have helped me considerably with the depression.  It was weird.  I am kind of always a little down but this would come over me daily, like a wave, and I would just get pulled under, feeling life was not worth living, almost suicidal.  It varied depending on when I would take the pill.  I take the two doses 12 hours apart now and I haven't been sucked in by the wave at all over the past 3 days.

maybee333-the "wave" you are talking about sounds SO familiar. Does your mo know about splitting pill? Is he ok with it?

Some time a little bit of ativan reduces anxiety......quick acting, take when you need it. It was prescribed for nausea during chemo and I noticed mellowness...I just take half of a low dose pill and it helps .... Tamox gives me the anxiety and if I have heavy life stress too....it is worse...a little bit of ativan keeps me even. Just take when it gets the best if me.

I noticed a difference in the depressive waves of Tamox and divided my tabs...my Dr. thought it would not make a difference, but I feel it. I now get the 10mg tabs and take one at 10 a.m. and one at 10p.m.

That's what I figured.  I didn't tell my MO because she's not in my body; tends to do everything the way "the research was originally done".  But she prescribes the pills and runs the tests, so she's fine.

Day 4.  Still doing much better.  Mood lifting and peace settling in. Achiness is improving too and I've made a couple of changes so not sure what to attribute that to, at this point.

Sorry about the anxiety.  Life can make us anxious; BC can make us really anxious.  Sometimes we do need a little help with it.

Splitting the pills sounds like a great idea. I wouldn't think the doc would care. The drug stays in your system for a couple of days (I heard this somewhere) so I don't think it would make a difference. You are still getting one complete pill every 24 hrs.

On our way to get a pill splitter now! Hoping this may help. Lots of aches today and super grumpy! Thank you very much for your input, ladies. I feel so blessed to have all this valuable info from such caring people. Wish me luck!
