Went to a yoga class yesterday after a many month absense. Oy, did my arms take a beating! I didn't break out into a full blown flare, thankfully. I just have to build up to where I was and take it easy on the down dogs for now.

Down dogs ask a lot of our poor arms!

I managed more than 11,000 steps yesterday, but nothing to make me breathe hard except one trip up a 90-step stair walk from a lake to the top of a bluff.  Today I'll have to try harder to get some real cardio in.  Tomorrow-back to the gym.

Beautiful weather for my postponed 8 mile walk today. Watched my daughter run the Air Force Half Marathon yesterday, then straight out for the rest of the day moving band props at my other daughter's high school band competition. Must have gotten in at least  few miles just pushing instruments and walking to and from the marathon parking. Life is on fast forward right now in a good sort of way Tongue Out

Laural, it sounds like you got the best kind of walking in...enjoying your kids!

I got my 10,000+ steps in today, but once again did not take the specific hour or so to do hard cardio.  So movement, but I'm not sure my heart noticed!

Go hugz. I just returned from a 4 mile loop. Saturday is our 12 miler, then I start to taper down in miles until the marathon. I have been pushing a bit to get the miles in, just not feeling quite up to snuff. Bloodwork ahead...hoping the blast counts have remained steady, but not feeling it. I am thinking a transfusion will be on my dance card for next week Undecided On the positive side, I do get a better energy level out of the deal.

I was thinking about you Laural on my walk. How you have come such a long way. You have left me in the dust with my 45 minute walks and I am so proud of you. Hope you feel better. I had such a nice walk as it was in the mid 60's with sunny but rain tomorrow. grrrr. whoops wrong thread!

Nothing like walking around a college campus to get some walking in. Today's totals are 9650. Almost want to walk around my condo to hit 10,000, but it's been a long week in school.

I found out there are owls in the campus forest. Tomorrow morning, I will be out on the trails owl watching.

I love owls nibbana! You are so fortunate. We only have ducks on campus but their little babies are fun to watch swimming.

So, now the weather is cooling off in most parts of the country, but, it's sometimes too crappy to go out in.

That's me, too crappy to go outside. Not much exercise getting done. Tomorrow I get back to my forest and the  owls.

So excited to report that I made it strong on my 12 miler walk on Saturday, then went on to Band Competition until midnight as a band parent. Our Band took first place in their class, 3rd place overall, and qualified for the state competition in November. It was an exciting day on all fronts Laughing

Laural, kudos all around! Nibbana, get thee into that forest for some true R&R--the very best relaxation, and rest in the sense that you get a rest from stress when you're in the forest getting some exercise.

I've been well occupied by houseguests and work of late, managing some good walking but not much more.  Went salmon fishing on Lake Michigan yesterday, so lots of movement but none from my personal effort. But today was a magnificent walk day.  Went to Grand Rapids, Michigan's ArtPrize event: 1,524 entries in an art competition where people vote for the top prize. The art is displayed in a 3-square mile area of downtown, including tons and tons of outdoor scultpture and other art, with a beautiful river thrown into the exhibition space to boot.  Went with a longtime friend and we walked 6.7 miles, and I think we saw maybe 200 of the entries.  Some is fabulous art; some is well...not so great; and there's lots in between.  The weather was 70 degrees and sunny--an artful day in so many ways!  (I'll end my commercial for Grand Rapids now...this is an annual event that runs for 19 days, and I'm so proud of my backyard for having this wonderful festival of art. )

I twirled baton for 15 years with a Baton and Drum Corp so never got around to an instrument. I never had the coordination of some of the other girls, but managed to keep up most of the time.

Carol, Ok we have the Olymphics now what do we call the  marching band.  LE'(as in "The " in french) BANDages! Just on a short break here doing reports all day.I know you can come up with something better than  LE' BANDages.  First song "HEY, HEY all the LE (gang) is here"

Must get back to desk work. bum is flat from sitting since 1 pm. No walkies to day.

Marching with an oboe would be asking to be stabbed in the roof of the mouth. It's a non-marching instrument. But they let us go to band camp anyway.  Hugz, you're spot on with that band name!

Exercise was great yesterday, cardio + gym weight training, but today I gave in to the work projects and exercised only my fingers at the keyboard.  Tomorrow I'll be driving 5 hours at some point (on my way to stay with grandkids, at least!), so I'll have to kick my own butt big time to make sure I get exercise and get out of that car for some LE breathing.

Two miles yesterday with this great bunch of friends for the annual Light the Night Walk in Dayton, OH. Our team raised over $4700 to benefit blood cancer research and patient supports. Got my 8 miles in today and started tapering down to the marathon day...2 weeks and counting!

Laural, how fabulous! You do stay busy, don't you?

I've been taking care of my grandchildren these past few days, as my daughter and S-i-L took some well deserved days away. No cardio, no weights since Monday, and I even managed to lose my fitbit while crawling around with my grandson (that's truly a sad loss...haven't given up on finding it, because we were at my parents' house). But it sure has been entertaining!

been a bad week for me as well, today got to the gym for first time in 2 weeks. Between sinus issues and then falling, got really stiff and needed a god stretch and swim

I was worried on the LE as my fall landed me on the bad boobie but applied ice and no sign of swelling so good I guess
