hugz - good news about your ankle injury healing so well.

I haven't been regular at the Silver Sneakers class since the first of the year. One thing & another. This week my son is here for the first time in 2 years. He's installing a new computer with Windows 10 and putting in a new toilet. In both cases I need to be here so I missed class yesterday. Tomorrow I'll miss class to take him to the airport.

I've been AWOL here, but I am in the pool!! Aqua classes 3-4 times a week. Bad news is that they are closing the pool March 5, for approx. 3 months (sob) to redo the entire pool area. Dang it,,, just when I was really getting back in my groove,,,

Ok all, I've been a bit lax in the eating department and exercise since ankle sprain and two colds in two months to boot but I have....done my ankle exercises like a good little girl and Physio released me today but I'm doing still exercises at home but not as much. I was so proud of myself for doing all that he asked.

Well actually I had heads up from my daughter who saw him once upon a time and told me if I didn't do the prescribed exercises he would fire me. Yup he was a slave driver but it paid off.

Jogged 12 minutes today, walked 20 and looking forward to increasing as long as my family doesn't find out cause they banned me from running ever again cause I love to turn ankles. NOT!

Today I've put my big girl pantys on andhave entered all my eating into fitness pal food tracker. Ouch ....today I had to put in three glasses of champagne and trail mix. Not just a bit but a lot. Must buckle down.

All the rest of you including me..,let's smarten up for summer coming shortly. I want to be able to hike and not huff and puff while I do it.

ummmm I might have talked to early. My Physio said he would release me and send me home with different exercises and wow they just came in an email and it’s like I’m sentenced to life with this ankle.

We’re talking about at least twenty advanced exercises and then some of my previous ones and its mostly bosu balance type and calf ankle strength. When I told him yesterday I was treadmill jogging and wanted to go back to trail hikes I guess he reconsidered and receptionist called me back this morn. No picnic!

Anyway he said he wanted to see me Monday to make sure I’m doing them right. I’ll make a appointment about every month until I can wash my hands of this.

He did overpraise me for my diligence as I was so proud I stuck to my exercises. Maybe I should have shut up and snuck out of the door when he said I’m all done.

Well it’s for my benefit. Anything to prevent this from happening again. I’ll just DO IT!

Pass the trail mix and champagne. Mines gone

flu has captured me but I did weights at home yesterday and mini tramp. Although I had a light fever and it probably wasn’t smart to do.

Flu? So sorry, Hugz, it's a rough year for that. Impressive that you're exercising your way through it, though. Take care of yourself & stay hydrated. I tried wakeboard yoga today - not something I'll be doing again!

Thx all. Trust me I would have not exercised Sunday/Monday I was flat out aching. Only moved from bed to couch. Mean flu. Went out sunday morn with sore throat came back two hours later and immediately had to lay down for 23 hours straight.

Wakeboard yoga. What’s that? I gotta go youtube it. I saw girls doing yoga on paddle board last year on ocean. It looked amazingly hard to keep balance. They were all experienced. Should have videoed it

My mistake, Hugz, it is called paddleboard yoga (guess I had a senior moment). My gym was offering some introductory classes (in the pool) so I tried it. I am very new to yoga so I have NO IDEA what I was thinking. Even in a pool, it does require good balance (which I clearly lack). I'm VERY glad no one was videotaping me! Hope you're on the mend. Today I'm off to lift weights & spend an hour on the elliptical; at least I won't fall off & embarrass myself.

JKL. Wow your so brave for even trying. Still not well but I figure maybe if I go to gym and just play there a bit the mucus stick in my lungs might move out.

I can't sit here all day. I've literally burned out my eyeballs googling for days. I don't know how people can be stuck on their devices all day.( Well yes if your bedridden then I get it.)

so itchy to be done this flu and move my muscles. An hour on an elliptical would be very trying for me. I'm good for about half hour tops then switch to rower and dreadmill. Take care all.

Going to Physio today. He released me for my ankle with take home exercises but has called me back. Idk why yet.

hugz - so sorry about the breast pain. When is the CT scan? I'll keep my finger crossed that it's nerves or muscles & not a recurrence. Please do let us know.

Hugz, sending positive thoughts that your breast pain is just flu/cold combined with too much exercise. We never get to stop worrying, do we? Pls keep us posted.

Oh Hugz - good news the CT scan is clear for mets. Hooray. Obnoxious that it sounds like truncal LE. So glad to hear that your cold is finally fading. You've really had a long bout.

I've been working to get the yard cleaned up - and of course I don't know how to 'go easy' or stop sooner rather than later. My right side - chest & trunk is quite sore. Guess I might as well finish the yard clean up, then I'll try to get in to see my LEPT for a refresher.

minus thx so much for support. yes I’ve had truncal for a while but now thinking breast le to boot. If it don’t rains it pours. Trying to be pro proactive with le but it’s such a beastly monster.

Ok if you can’t slow down in garden then I want you to drink lots of water and pump fists high in air. When you get in do nothing but wrap and elevate. This is what I do when I get carried away. Daffys are up here so I will have to have a bit control when I start gardening soon. I don’t want to frap up myself for garden season coming. Must ease into it. My passion.... Gardening

The clear CT scan is great news, Hugz! (Although I'm sorry that you have to deal with more LE.) Just realized today is the one year anniversary of my lumpectomy. Had my first post-treatment mammogram & MRI recently (all clear!) & was surprised that the only stress I felt involved going into the MRI tube (I'm claustrophobic). Guess I'm moving on. PS Lifted weights & took a water aerobics class today (no more wakeboard yoga for me!). Keep moving, fellow gym rats!

EXCELLENT NEWS Hugz! I have been reading along but haven' had time to post. I have started exercising more and lifting weights. I was finally released from OT and PT. I have been receiving services since April! I also got a letter from my insurance that they are not gping to pay for my Flexitouch pump. I have had the pump since the end of November! It has made a huge difference in my LE. Most of my LE is in my breast. I have found a bra that I don' mind wearing. It's still ugly but not as ugly as the Belize. The compression bra and huge chip bag have turned my breast back into soft tissue no more hard spots. My boobs are almost the same size to!

    Just keep moving!

Thx Vara. Wow seems like everyone is having good outcomes. How long did the swell chips take to soften breast? Yes let’s move. Each day I’m getting stronger and am getting up ealier to do a workout then off to mountains. Yes I will wear my new wearease shaper to hug my breast le

I have the compression cami to! I do wish it were longer. It hits right at the top of my pants and it' not long enough to tuck in and it rides up and won't stay on top on my pants. I got the black in the only one in my size. I love the teal color!

My chip pad (it' huge wraps all the way around my back took about 3 weeks to soften the tissue. That was with OT once a week and PT once a week also. Plus the cupping I do daily my self. I hate this whole damn set up with the bra, cami and pad but it' works. I am thankful for that.

minus. No I got my wearease a few months ago.

Vara. Is your chip pad that goes around your back a swell spot that covers breast and wraps partially around your back?

Ok back into groove. Did a few mountain walks on my trip but not enough to make up for all the tasty treats I ate and drank. I’ll go kill the tready tomorrow. Vaca over and now that daylight savings is here I will have to step it up outdoors with doggy.

Yes Hugz! I hate the thing but it has changed my life! My DH hums the theme to Spiderman when I am undressing. My boob looks like a spider web when I take it off. I feel like the chips bag is a little to big. It goes all the way around my back. I have an appointment with my PT and a fitter next week to see if there is one that will fit better. I have had to buy many new tops because I'm uncomfortable with people seeing all the lines. My BC is still on the downlow. My parents do not even know. I don't wear my sleeve or glove around them or to church. The company I contract with doesn't know either.

Hugz- you seem to be a world of information on LE so I have a question for you...I have had 4 sinus infections since being diagnosed with LE. They started in May after I finished radiation. That was what I thought the worst one and I contributed it to my immune system being compromised from the radiation. I have another sinus infection now. I went to the doctor yesterday. Thus one is as bad as the one in May. So this one makes 4 sinus infections in 10 months! Could there be a possible connection? I want to cry! I have been on antibiotics 5 times in less than a year (remember I had cellulitis in December ) I have never taKen antibiotics that much in my entire life!
