    hahahahaha.  Yes, lots of bags.

I am trying something new today. I actually did squeeze in a bit of exercise.  WITHOUT lifting any wts  (and no bands, heaven forbid) I did a walk with  periodic deep breathing , arm extensions repeated only 3x on each side, lots of stretching,  and then a few bicep curls and tricep extensions without weight.

I'm going to see how that routine impacts me if at all.

This morning - got the grandsons to do sansone with me for 5 minutes like my LE T said and then walked a bunch with DD Surprised. My feet and hips are killing me!  Arms and hand were a bit swollen but not bad - lots of water now...

Darn hips ...hate when that happens GMA!

A little bit at a  time for you right now then.

I did the same routine as yesterday.  Taichi breathers, walking , bicep curls and tricep extensions without weights, etc ...

Merry Christmas everyone! Not much "official" exercise to post, but I was busy making food, hosting a Christmas Eve party, cleaning up, getting up early to play Santa. Maybe I got more exercise this way. One can pretend anyway.

Hope everyone got everything on their wish list. Enjoy the day!

Merry Christmas y'all. I see some ladies I recognize here. I have to go back and read about what you all do to care for your LE. In the meantime, be well.

Here's my latest report for the past couple of days: cook, sit, repetitions of fork-to-mouth exercises, wash dishes, repeat. When done, crash in bed!

    Happy of holidays, ladies!

Tina, that sounds just like my activity! I have managed a few short bursts of exercise, taking the dog out for a jog, but it has been quite cold, so these were pretty brief.

DH and I started our drive home at 5:30 this morning, to get out of northern Ohio before today's blizzard arrives. As we drive, I have been puzzling over why my LE arm is so incredibly achey, and it just dawned on me that it is the barometric pressure change at work. And sure enough, DH tells me he now has a sinus headache, which always happens as storms approach. So we may dodge most of the snowy driving, but not the storm's other wrath.

As for exercise today, I can get it in once at home today, but now I have to think twice, since the arm is already barking at me. How frustrating!

Just been too busy (and drained ) to exercise with all the holiday work.

Hmmm...not looking forward  to that storm, Carol.  Supposed to be starting near me tonight.

I was wondering if any of you ladies use a rebounder OR ... even cheaper, if any of you ladies mimic the bounce of a rebounder  in any of your LE exercise routines  ?

Have had a glorious holiday - my b-day is Christmas Eve, so we had non-stop celebrating for two days straight!  Slipped a bit on doing MLD and Lebeds, but we were at our mountain cabin so we got in a couple of good mountain hikes - 5 miles one day and 3 miles the next - using my hiking poles, which really helps my LE.  We even had a white Christmas up there - beautiful! Did a good 3 mile run yesterday, and 30 minutes on the elliptical this morning. Did MLD this morning but no Lebeds - I need to get back into a routine.  Glad for everyone who is doing well - good to hear.

so far so good no Lymphedema only mild cording which goes away with stretching thru the pain.

    no salt

    no fats

    no sugar

    loads of water

    stretching, exercise

stick to the above mostly 90% of the time, off the rails usually 2 times a week, pig out chocolate, chips, junk but get straight back onto healthy regime.  still have a glass of red daily so not alls bad.

Took my mother out to get supplies and the snow came while we were in the store. Slid my way home in the icy snow and I'm all set. As long as we have power it will be a good day :)

NatsFan, my wonderful DH gave me a set of walking poles for Christmas, so I am looking forward to my inaugural walk with those!  Ohio, it's nasty your way (which is why we escaped in the wee hours this morning from N. Ohio), so do be careful.  Liv, I am right there with you, with that one glass of red per day.  Can't say I've been nearly as good as you at taking out salt, fats, and sugar, though.  (I'm hoping the one daily red cancels out that other stuff!)

So nice to see we have pole walkers on the rise here! Check some of my posts to see how to if you are stuck and need proper techniques. You have to learn proper technique to get the benefits, poling is great for LE as it keeps your arms up and exercises them!

Totally been a bad girl here, super indulged but hey you gotta do indulge once in a while., oh and no exercise here except growing fat cells! Will be better another day!

Hugz, I'll be sure to look up those posts.  And it's very comforting to know that there are several of us who have managed to chuck exercise and good eating to the winds for a few days.  I know we'll all follow NatsFan's lead and be mindful again, soon!

Hmmmm...not so comforting for me who made homemade peanut butter cookies with H kisses and didnt even touch 1 kiss!  I just better lose weight this week  :>)

I have my first pt of RX gloves- what   a DIFFERENCE!
The fitter was supposed to order everything on BLK FRI buit somehow she didnt place orders unbtil 12/19.  I also asked her to order 2 farrows and 1 custom, but I got just 1 farrow. She misunderstood somehow though it was written down!  I refused the custom because it was like a vice and my hand was bright red with 1 min.  No thanks.

I wore the farrow for an hr , took it off and my wedding ring fit.

    Then I realized...what difference does it make ?  I'm wearing a  glove !  Yell

MLD, 30 minutes pilates/stretching, and Lebeds this morning.  Slowly getting back into routine.  Now to just drop the couple of extra cookies-and-candy-and-yummy-feasts pounds! Surprised

Purple - 20 minutes is about what it takes me too.  But if I want to do a really good job it's closer to 30 minutes.  I have truncal and arm/hand LE.

I'm closer to 10-15 minutes, but I also don't have to do any arm/hand MLD, just truncal.

I try to do MLD for half an hour.  If I'm in a hurry I do deep breathing and clearing of the neck, chest, abdomen forgoing any work on my arm or hand.

    -----------------

I found this interesting, Marple. In my first session  with a good LEist, she worked only on clearing the terminus. I was stunned when my arm and hand went down . That was the first time my wedding ring fit since OCT.  Fit again today after wearing' real" rx gloves ( Farrow)

Well, I  had compression stockings, sleeve , glove and truncal cami on today, and I was Freeeeezing. WTH is this doing to my impaired circulation?!

Got me off the couch and doing 40 mins of aerobics.

Had to do a quick MLD this AM with the snow out there , but did a good 30 mins tonight.

    'Thats all folks!

MLD takes me about 20 minutes.  Purple, great work on doing aerobics to warm up!

I did some treadmill jogging today, plus some to/fro walking, using the park-far-away method when I went to an appt. and did some errands.  Total distance: 4.9 miles, which I'll finish off to 5 before bed.  Did an hour of weights and stretching, and I'll do MLD before bed.

    MLD takes me thirty minutes.

Got blasted big time by the blizzard. I actually did MLD two nights in a row before the storm hit. All is better now. Had to wait 36 hours for someone to dig me out. Actually they had to use a tractor but I had enough sense to not touch a shovel. Big step for me. Can't be little miss independent anymore.

A big pat on the back for not picking up the shovel Dawne!  We got all rain this time, but undoubtedly we will get snow at some point.  And I actually kind of enjoy shoveling snow, and it kills me to see it on the walk and drive way.  But I bought a snow blower this year, not sure how pushing that will be, but I will give it a try.  And if that's too much, everything will just have to be left to DH and the two kids.  (one is a 21 y.o. man and the other is 15 y.o. girl, so I am not robbing the cradle).

Thinking a pedometer might get me moving a little more. (Darn desk job - love/ hate relationship there!)

I actually did a long session of MLD before getting out of bed this morning (long= 30 mins for me) Off to a good start anyway.Undecided
