Sorry to read about the lymphodema Shazza. I find that i couple of daytime days wearing my sleeve often settles it down, so here's hoping that's the case with yours. I am very envious of your trip.

Donna, hopefully the wait until the 10th goes quickly for you. My MIL had the same treatment as you last year and had something show up, but its nothing after a biopsy ...... it's the waiting that does your head in xoxo.

Kruise, you are very talented, I don't think that I have a creative bone in my body. Alyson that shawl is incredible!

Hi to everyone else. I hope you're all keeping warm - it's cold in Auckland today.

I am catering for a cadet camp for 45 this weekend (2 x breakasts & lunches & 1 dinner). How I get roped into these things is beyond me. I am counting down to my surgery on 14th. It will be good to get that out of the way as it will be one week shy of my diagnosis last year.

Kruise that's a gorgeous picture. I have not one crafty bone in my body so I'm so jealous of you girls with your hobbies.

One more sleep for me. I'm getting so excited. Lots to do today. Trying not to think about leaving 2 teenagers home alone for 12 days. Hope there aren't too many parties.

Haha Shazzy you are so brave leaving two teenagers alone for 12 days. I'm sure it will all be good. I hope you have an absolutely amazing time and can't wait to hear all about it when you get home. Safe travel, Donna xxx

Enjoy your break Shazza :-). Is your arm improving?

Nik - catering for 45 ???? I have trouble cooking for myself!

    Hi everyone :)

What a gorgeous day it is today. I've got the deck doors open even (partly because one of the cats brought a live mouse inside & let it go!)

You girls are very creative, I have a friend who's into scrapbooking. I can't seem to find the inclination to do anything like that. Before kids yes....

I hope your lymphodema is settling down, Shazza, and that you have a fantastic time in Singapore.

I don't envy you your weekend, Nikki, that sounds like a lot of work! Not long now to your op, then you have a good excuse to relax and take care of yourself.

It's my parents 50th wedding anniversary tomorrow, so we're having a family get together for lunch on Saturday, followed by photos. Should be nice :)

Enjoy the rest of the day

Well I'm at the airport. About an hour till I leave. Feeling a little nervous. But I'm sure I'll be fine when we get going. I'll try and post a few photos when I'm there.

    Take care everyone.

Yay Shazza. Have a great time. Once you're on the plane you will be fine :)

Enjoy some 'me' time & be waited on and do nothing for a few hours. I'm sure you need after getting set to go- all that sorting out for the kids etc!

Love to see some pics if you get time.

    Bon voyage

You will be flying now Shazza - hopefully enjoying a movie and relaxing. Have a fabulous time!

Thanks ladies for the lovely comments. I have finished the scrapbook now - so going to give it to them this weekend as have one of my training weekends in Palmerston North this weekend and they live there.

Hope you all have a nice weekend. Nikki sounds like you've got a tonne of stuff to do working - sounds like my weekend! We are doing some sort of mass casualty incident this weekend but we won't know what till we get it!

Ooh that looks fantastic Shazza, warmth & nice drinks by the sea :) I'm just a little (maybe a lot) jealous!

    Have heaps of fun.

I'm tired & grumpy because I'm tired, after work. It's great to keep working because it's a bit of normality, but boy it tires me out! I'm trying to get stuck into the de cluttering so we can get the house on the market too - might have to wait until tomorrow, when I'll have recovered :)

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Shazza - gorgeous pic.I love Singapore. You lucky thing!

Cooking was chaos this weekend, but it's done. I was at the unit (in Otahuhu) for 14 hours on Saturday and 10 on Sunday. Completely knackering, but the kids ate well and seemed to enjoy my cooking (it was more like assembly, so I can't take any credit really). Funny how if you give kids enough mince and cheese pies and chips when they're hungry and cold, it's like the best meal ever! They even ate salad - 4kgs of coleslaw (eek).

I was having my zoladex injection yesterday and ended up having to see the Doctor about my SOB again. It's been going on for a couple of months now, so I have got antibiotics, prednisone and 2 inhalers. She's concerned that when I go for my premed tomorrow that they won't want to operate next week, if I can't breathe well. Hopefully this works.

I have to get everything tidy this coming weekend, because of the surgery on 14th (they'll keep me in over the weekend). I am contemplating replacing all the plates and knives and forks in this house with plastic ones for the time I am away, so I don't come home to too much of a mess.

I am tired of being tired too KT.

Hi Nikki. Well done on the weekend- sounds fun but definitely tiring.

I hope that the SOB resolves soon. It would be nice to just get the op out of the way. It's quite good that they are keeping you in over the weekend, that way you will have no choice but to rest.

I finally got my CT appt- Thursday next week. I'm keen to see if taxol is working.

    Catch you all later

Hi guys, lovely photo Shazza, jealous of the heat and wonderful food. Hope you continue to enjoy yourself. Sorry to hear about your SOB Niki, I hope they can operate, I know how much you have been counting down the days. I'm back at work this week and very happy to be back. I'm just not used to not working and love my job so much, I have missed all the guys I work with and got lots of hugs when I came back. Anyway, I'm counting down the days until my biopsy next Monday. Take care everyone, Donna xxx

Wow Nikki - you're amazing! Hope the SOB resolves soon and that you can have your surgery.

Glad you're getting your scan KT.

Raining here...supposed to have flooding so I'm working from home. Plus I just wanted to sleep in; I'm tired of being tired too!

Glad to hear you're back in your happy place Donna. Not long to wait for your biopsy, and if you're able to keep busy the time goes quicker.

Hopefully you're managing to take it easy today KT, it'll be good to have an indication if the taxol is working x

Looks like you're having a great time :) Nice to see you're getting pampered too.

I'm over the cold here. Weird weather, sunny then cold windy & wet the next minute. Just feel like snuggling up in a blanket with a hot drink.... Have been a bit tired lately, but managed to get to Pilates.

    Have a good weekend!
