That's good KT, I don't entirely understand all of it, but gather from your post it's good news :) The anxiety is mounting for my biopsy results tomorrow. I keep fantasising that I will get a call today to say I don't need to come in as they are benign, I know they do that. My tummy is so upset it's just painful. Anyway take care everyone. I will post the results as soon as I know them.

Good luck for tomorrow Fizz. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for B9 results

Big hugs Fizz keep calm and things will work themselves out.

    Pleased things are 'good' Kate

Was writing this when a friend rang to share commiserations about our cats. My old boy Barney collapsed  on Sunday night and we took him to the emergency vet and there was no hope so his time had come. He was almost 18. My friend's cat died from bowel cancer of all things.

Have a visit to ortho specialist torrid. Just wish the pain would go.

    Hugs to all.

Hi, I am a kiwi and i am very new here and stumbled across this page while trying to find info on lumps and bumps and all things breast related after noticing some changes in my breast.

I have been quite involved this year in raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research and never thought that that involvement would have me finding things wrong with my own! Its been about 4 weeks since i found a lump in my right breast on the top side of my breast, not a solid marble type ball or pea that people talk about but more like a dense thickening in one part that i never noticed before, its quite hard, can feel almost like my fingers pop over it when i rub over it (i have B cup boobs so pretty noticeable really). I thought it felt different to before and kept telling myself it could have always been there and my head is playing tricks on me with all the 'awareness' i have been creating through fundraising. But i went to the doctor to get it checked just to be sure, i thought she would tell me its all in my head and i would leave feeling stupid for going. But she felt it too, referred to it as a thickening, and it was not the same as my other breast, i also have an inverted nipple, however its always been flat so thought nothing of that but i think its actually more inverted than before but always put that down to weight loss. Anyway she referred me for a mammogram and my risks were low, age 34 and no family history so no big rush (or so i thought, turns out 2 of my mothers aunties passed from BC), i have my appointment now though and its booked for a week from today. (Hurry up already) Also since finding the lump ... last week i was drying my hair after my shower, arms over my head and my towel dropped away, with my arms raised i noticed some slight puckering under my breast and around my nipple and if i flex arms forward while arms down there is a line about an inch long along one side also. but only on one breast, the other still looks normal (and by normal, i mean as normal as they can for having had 3 children haha)

Anyway, i tried to find other images online of puckering and dimpling etc and found very little, so i have no idea what is considered normal or not, im very worried and its stressing me out, im trying to not worry but its the not knowing thats doing my head in.

Can anyone relate or have you had similar symptoms to these? Send through pics of your dimpling, (i also have pics)

    Thanks for reading x

Spotty take a deep breath and wait until you have had your mammo and any other tests your doc orders. Then you will know what the situation really is. Another piece of advice is stay away from Dr Google. When you have results we between us will be able to help. I know how hard it is not to worry. Big big hugs.

Thank you Alyson, iv tried not to ask Dr Google too much, i made that mistake one day and he had me just about dead and buried in my head.... bad idea. I guess i was mostly trying to find other images to compare with and see what dimpling looked like but i could either only find animated pics or otherwise very severe ones so gave up, when i found this site, seems like a very supportive and lovely place for all those going through from beginning to end.

Hi spottyzebra. It's really hard for you at the moment. we all know just how you feel. Until you have an actual diagnosis you don't really know what you are up against. Hopefully it won't be anything. But like Alyson said we are all here for you. This place is a huge source of information and comfort. What part of the country are you in? Donna

    Hi girls :)

Donna, I hope you get good results today, thinking of you.

Welcome Spottyzebra, I'm glad you have an appointment booked. Make sure they do an ultrasound too. The problem with young people (& some others) is dense breasts so things don't always show on mammogram. I had a lump which didn't show on mammo but did on U/S (I was diagnosed at 37). In the meantime try & keep busy doing stuff so you don't have so much time to worry!

I'm sorry about your cat Alyson. He was a good old age.

    Have a good day everyone

I just got the call I have been waiting for and it's such good news. Nothing to worry about in the biopsy, just fibrocystic changes. To say I am relieved and happy is an understatement. Thanks for all your support guys. I hope everyone is doing well. Feel like having a little cry but I'm at work so have to swallow that lump in my throat. Donna xxx

Fantastic News Fizz. So pleased for you.

Today is my baby's 18th birthday so we have been out to breakfast. I remember her 2nd birthday as it was also my first chemo session for my first BC diagnosis. So pleased I am still here to celebrate her 18th

Off to work now. My last week of chemo break. Seemed funny not going in today. Have a great day everyone

YAY!!!! Great news Donna. I bet you have the biggest smile on your face.

Nice to meet you Spotty. There's nothing worse than waiting, and nothing anyone can say to ease your worry, but as Alyson said Dr Google is not your friend. I don't even google anymore. Any information I need is on this website and I get so much support and help from the girls on this forum that I don't feel the need to look any further.

My drain is out. It wasn't draining anything at all so it was time - or so I thought. The District Nurse pulled the drain and there was obviously a tissue blockage - the seroma poured out like a Rotorua Geyser. It hit the Nurse in the face, the ceiling and the walls as well as all over me. I just about wet my pants laughing (weird I know, but it was really quite funny). Now I have a sticky infants stoma bag over the drain incision and the stuff is still pouring out. I have another nurses appointment at 4.20 to find out if I need to go back to hospital to get a new drain this afternoon.

OMG! Must have given that nurse a fright! Let us know how you go this afternoon.

Hooray Donna, that is good news.

Enjoy your week off chemo Shazza :) So great to be there for the kids milestones.

I'm knackered. Tomorrow I have my double infusion, so most of the day taken up, then work on Thursday. Hope I can find some energy before then!

Hope tomorrows double goes well KT. Hopefully you're not too tired for work.

Shazza. So glad that you had a good holiday and are able to celebrate your daughters 18th. I hope you had something yummy for breakfast.

OMG Nicki talk about a problem child (and I mean that in the nicest possible way). Sounds a bit like something out of a horror story, awesome that you found it funny - are you sure it wasn't an hysterical reaction? I hope you don't have to go back into hospital. KT good luck for tomorrow and Shazza I'm so glad that you are feeling better after your horrible tummy bug. Enjoy your daughters 18th, it is such a lovely age. Donna xxx PS still can't wipe the smile off my face.

Hi Nikki. I was wondering how you got on the other day- hopefully you didn't have to get another drain put in....

I totally agree about the rain, ho hum....prob affecting my mood at the mo too.

I'm finding it so hard to get motivated around here. I really want to move on to a smaller property, but getting this one ready for selling is defeating me at the mo.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
