I haven't had to pay for my compression sleeves with Counties Manukau and I have had 2 in the last 6 months. I must remember to ask how many I am entitled to when I next see the LE therapist on Monday.

Sorry that the move has been so tiring and difficult for you KT. I so hope that you're kind of settling in and at least are managing to sleep.

Hope your scan goes well Sue.

Sue, just saw your post in the LE forum. Gentle hugs. Will be thinking of you. Do you have RT up in New Plymouth or do you have to come down to PN?

Nik, Id be really interested to see what you find out on your sleeve funding.

Thank you Musical. I will be going down to Palmy for RT - 5 treatments, so I will be in Ozanam House for a week. My husband will be with me, so I won't be stuck like last time. Claire (my RT) wants me to go down the week after next. She's going to try to juggle dates with the CT, MRI and port.

I feel like my roller coaster ride is about to drop me off a cliff - all I can do is hang on tight and ride it through.

BTW, my sleeves are Jobst. I'll tell you the brand of my vest tomorrow - can't read the label while I'm wearing it!

Sue, Im Manawatu, yes I thought that's what happens for RT. I'll PM you. Thankyou for getting back on the garment brand.

Gorgeous, Shazza. How long do you get to keep it? Fun playing & cuddling etc :)

Our kitties are settling in here. First few days they were wide eyed and nervous about every sight & sound (& it is noisy with trucks) but now they are relaxed & don't bat an eyelid. Another week or two & we'll try letting them outside.

Our standoffish girl has gotten more friendly coming for smooches & cuddles which is nice. They both want feeding atm, but I'm enjoying a wee lay in.

Taxol yesterday. I've been put on antibiotics for my funky fingernails. The good news is that the increased dose seems to be sending the tumour markers the right way again. Down by 27 points this time :)

Enjoy the nice day all x

Hooray for tumour markers down, KT.

    Beautiful kitty! So sweet!

Who is going up to the Advanced Breast Cancer Forum in Auckland next week?

I was lucky enough to score free flights from Sweet Louise so I will definitely be there. Full details on sweetlouise.co.nz if you weren't already aware of it.

If there are a few of us, should we get together at some point? Anyone keen?

    Sue.

Congrats, Suems! Would love to hear about the experience. I'm headed for North Palmerston (yes, I know) on Monday for a bone scan. That will be my excitement for the week.

That looks like one content kitty, Shazza. I have three kitties. Love them! I'd have more and be the crazy cat mom, but my jealous cats won't allow it ;-).

KT, I hope for good news from your bone scan. Glad your cats are getting used to the change. I hope that you are sleeping better.

I'm booked in for the Forum on the 14th. Hoping my brain doesn't fog up too early in the day ;-)

    Morning :)

Another sunny day - always helps things seem brighter. I've been taking it easy the last couple days & will today as well. I don't want to crash like last week!

I'm planning on going to the forum- unless I'm too whacked... I have 2 trips to Ak for assessment & chemo and working a busy day next week. Hope to see you girls there :)

Good luck with your bone scan Terre. It's a shame you're so far away from the forum.

    Enjoy the day

Midnight how cute. Thanks for sharing. What a glorious weekend it was had a real summer feel, hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy it. NCEA fever in our house with my daughter frantically studying for her level 3 exams. Scan for me today so I can't eat. Really feel like breakfast.

    Have a great day everyo

Hope the scan goes well, Shazza :)

Can you send some if that NCEA fever here- my son has level 3 too but no signs of fervent study....

Midnight- gorgeous horses! Babies are always soo cute.

I let our cats out yesterday after one of them peed on a rug, rat bag. They seem to be coping with the new surrounds & increased noise etc phew. Ones cuddled up on me now after spending the night outside.

Well I'm off for assessment today. The antibiotics have cleared up my oozing nails (ick!).

    See you later :)

I need some NCEA fever as well. My son is doing level 2, and I think that because he's already got his credits he reckons the job is done.

Musical. I saw my LE therapist yesterday and got fitted with a new sleeve. She gave me two (Haddenham brand). I asked about funding and apparently Counties Manukau provide sleeves free of charge and there is no limit.

I hope everyone's scans have gone well. Have a great day everyone - looks like another gorgeous one.

Hi guys, looks like everyone is doing well, good luck for those of you having scans and assessments. Everything is going okay for me. Thank goodness those NCEA days are over, it's 21st we have to worry about now haha! Love seeing all the photo's of everyones pets, so cute. Good luck at the Symposium those of you who are going, I hope you learn lots. Take care, Donna.

@Nik, thanks for that. Next time I see LEist I'll mention what you've said and see about that brand. A custom jobst sleeve is around 350 big ones. The custom glove is the same.

I'm at chemo at the moment. I'm expecting my scan results on Monday at clinic.

I think NCEA Fever is a girls only thing. My sons certainly never suffered from it. My daughter is very stressed at the moment as she is waiting to hear if she has been accepted into the armed forces to train as a medic. She also is applying to the paramedic course at AUT in case she doesn't get into the forces. There has been a lot of paperwork, police checks, interviews etc. that on top of working 4 nights a week, study and helping me out around the house has her spread pretty thin.

Love seeing all the animals. We are still looking for a home for one foster kitten who is a real sweetheart. I would love to keep her but we have far to many animals already. The two rabbits are absolutely in love with each other but have declared war on the cats. There are constant ambushes especially in the lounge.

Another glorious day. Have fun folks

Hi Shazza, I think (in our family anyway) girls worry more than boys, or perhaps just show it more than boys. I would love that kitten, she is beautiful, but my old cat is a bit nasty sometimes and would probably beat it up as she does our Labrador!
