It's crazy how fast the brows come back once they start! I first noticed maybe a little shadow over the weekend and now I can see individual hairs. I have lots of baby eyelashes, too.

I see a lot of tiny hairs on my brows, not so much on my lashes.

I get 12mg of decadron, at least I did on AC. I'll double check tomorrow when I go for Taxol #2. Leigh the taxols definitely seem to be dragging! I can't believe I have ELEVEN more!

I remember at some point someone posted a link of their favorite eyebrow pencil (Kbee?? maybe?). Can whoever it was repost it? :) And anyone have any good online tutorials on how to draw on eyebrows? My right one is getting thin although my left one is still hanging out like normal, figures! And my eyelashes are slowly getting thinner I think. *sigh* Yayyyyy can't wait

Helplesslyhoping: I was like you with the Benadryl; I HATED it. After a few weeks, I said something to one of the nurses, and she told me that some patients who felt this way were receiving hydroxyzine. She got my MO to okay this, and it really makes a huge difference. It still makes me a little sleepy, but nothing like the Benadryl, and I don't feel doped up the way I did on Benadryl. Also, I take it orally, so it shortens the total infusion time. I hope this helps!

I am having a terrible time getting pictures of my brows. The light just isn't very good.

The brow pencil is from IT cosmetics and it's called Brow Power. It's only avail at Ulta or online. I got one when I went to LGFB class. I think it was Molly who posted the link and then I went and bought one before I realized I already had one. Chemo brain!!

    I found this tutorial helpful:

Also, the IT Cosmetics website has a tutorial which is pretty good.

I got mine at Ulta but I don't think that is the brand. It was a different brand than I got at the LGBF thing and I like it better. It was a better color match for me.

    Hi Ladies,

Welcome to the newbies! I didn't not have an initial reaction to the Taxol but since my neutrophils were under 1.5 my #5 was canceled. Thinking I would get a lot done this first Friday I've had off, however I had an extreme skin reaction, started as red itchy (very itchy)right hand, then quickly spread up the right arm while the left hand turned red and then up that arm also and hives everywhere on both arms and chest. So off to the hospital as it is listed as rare side effect and it happens just as the cancer center closed. So days of Benedryl and sleep, sleep, sleep of course. So much for getting lots done! As far as eye brows, I just got them back since last chemo and they were so fair you couldn't really tell I had any. Hair is gone but still have lashes and fare brows you really have to look for.

Leigh, you look fabulous. You need to move to Iowa do I can hire you to do my hair and make up. I have always been thankful my girls never chose to dance. I love watching dance, but I have have zero hair or make up talent. I was always a throw hair in a ponytail and go girl.

Thanks Ladies!!! Now you can see why I am so exhausted with all this already... LOL Just looking normal takes everything I got!! lol. I have a long wig... I usually wear it up in a twist or braid it like this because I think it looks really fake when it's all down. OF COURSE those are fake eyelashes... LOL. I do still have a few lashes on the bottom that I coat with thickening mascara. But that is mostly thick black liquid eyeliner! Eyeliner has saved me.

Now enjoy the rest of the day now that you've slept off the Benedryl. Go for a walk, meet a friend for dinner, etc. Once the Benedryl fog lifts, you should feel good. I have carried on life normally on Taxol.

I always feel great on day #2 due to the steroids. I use it to get a lot done. I do rest on Benedryl day although this week I couldn't because my daughter was sick. Also, they usually give you the dose that makes your eyes roll back in your head the first couple of times to make sure you don't have an allergic reaction. They start with 50. I am now down to 12.

That's good to know. Thank you. I hope I can go back to a regular lifestyle. They don't have me on any steroids with Taxol. My MO told me to keep them around just in case. I really don't want to use them as I'd like to get this belly down before my exchange. That's 4 months from now (at least) so I'm not too worried I just hate looking like Mrs. Potato Head.

oops I hit submit too quick on my phone! Taxol #2 was today and I was told that my treatment center and def my MO don't like to decrease the Benadryl as time goes on, just in case. Fine with me since it doesn't knock me out completely. Today was nice and quick since I didn't have the added carboplatin... And no blood transfusion! My hemoglobin was back up slightly to 8.6 or 8.9. My liver enzymes are borderline high though and they said if they go higher next week than they'll cancel treatment. Anyone else dealing with liver issues?

Relaxed at my dads hotel after treatment and then had a huge hibachi dinner. Mmmmm it's so nice to have my appetite back!

My liver enzymes were high and when I asked my MO she just said 'It can be caused by the chemo'. She's such an great doctor. Not really.

Leigh, you look great! I cannot even tell that's a wig! I hardly ever wear makeup so eyeliner feels so weird on me. I always like the way it looks on everyone else.

My liver enzymes are high too. They basically said though yes Taxol does that.

You do look great Leigh! Wow!

My eyebrows are a little sparse but haven't lost them all the way yet. I just finished Taxol #4 though.

I absolutely hate having to go every single week for chemo. Luckily my new port is working much better though. Hope this one lasts through September.

Penny- I couldn't tell they were drawn in until i read your caption. I still have half of my eye brows. Started out very sparse but I haven't drawn them in yet. I'm sure yours are better than I can do.

Today is day 3 after my first Taxol and I feel it today. Woke up feeling sick; nauseous, headache, but most of all body ache. Like the flu.. Is this common? Feels like AC day 3-7.

And I wanted to hang out poolside today. Bummer!

Oh and my liver is hurting. Can I take liver tonic? I see my accupuncturist tomorrow so she can help.

New to the boards. Completed 9 out of 12 Taxol infusions & had to stop due to developing lung toxicity issues from the Taxol. Felt like crap through most of the Taxol & wanted to quit at 8, but oncologist convinced me to continue. Then developed toxicity issue...guess my body was telling me at 8 that I was done. Should've listened! Now I'm 9 days out from my last infusion of Taxol & having my typical crappy Sunday. Thought it was going to be better since I stopped chemo over a week ago. Feeling bummed! Could really use some support. Thanks
