Bosco, Sorry to hear you are in the hospital and hope you can return home soon, and that you get answers to what caused your reaction.

Carol, Medical Marijuana sure sounds like it is helping a lot of mbc gals. Can't get it here, but working with a legislator to reintroduce the bill.

Bosco, prayers for you to feel better, I'm so sorry you're having to go through this and I'm hoping you're able to go home soon.

Carol, I too use Frankincense and put it on my mets sites daily. I don't get any itching with it but I do dilute it with fractionated coconut oil. I also diffuse it in our bedroom every night.

Well after a long day at the cancer centre I did get some good news. My onc said everything is stable, no new areas and even regression so I am extremely happy. It had been 9 months since my last bone scan and 6 months since my last CT scan. Of course I was having major anxiety but I am so relieved. I won't get tm's til next week. My 2 and a half hour infusion took 3 and a half hours, can't figure that out but my friend and I left the hospital and she took it out for me since she is a nurse. We drove home in the most terrible blizzard, zero visibility! It was very very scary,  lots of accidents and cars in ditches. I was grateful to make it home safe and sound. I need to get to bed early tonight.

    Hugs to all, Annie

    Hello All!

Bosco, Hope the antibiotics help, but if you're like me, they really screw up your digestive tract, it took months of probiotics to get me back on track. The SE's sound quite scary, hope they help.

Annie, OMG, that is such fantastic news!! Must have been very scary coming home through the blizzard. I don't like snow at the best of times, but that would have made me cancel but I'm glad you didn't. Fingers crossed for good TM's.

All this talk of MMJ makes me want to try it, but I don't even know how to go about it, which is funny because we have one of the biggest MMJ plants just across the water from us.

Take care all who are getting another blast of winter. Cheers, Dee

Bosco I am hoping that you are only in the hospital for a wee short stay and are over this scary experience soon. I always hated hospitals I guess it's not the favourite spot for many folks.

Annie that is sooooo great, must be a very wonderful feeling celebrate with your family you so deserve it.

Lindalou I just read that in all fifty states the CBD pills or products would be available since they don't make you high. Maybe something to try?

Dee there are some very good dispensaries in Victoria the folks there will help you out or at least they should. With your type of cancer the magic ratio is four to one CBD to THC.

Had my pet scan today thanks for all the well wishes.. Won't get any results till next Thursday which bites but I'm learning to be more patient. It's out of my circle of influence so it's not worth worry about. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

I wish you all a restful painless weekend.

Annie, I hope you are resting well after your long day. Riding through snowstorms is always scary. I am glad you made it home safely. Now to the results of your scans -WOOHOO!

Wendy, I am hoping you get good news about your scan next Thursday.

Bosch, Hoping you are feeling better and will be home soon.

Terre, Terre, Terre, I am always exhausted after reading your posts. How do you do it? You are amazing.

Jane, Welcome to the bone mets thread. There are many wonderfully supportive and knowledgeable people here for you.

Dee, Are you expecting snow or cold or both? We're expecting near record-breaking cold here in New England.

I thought DH and I would be blowing this joint in a couple of days. He had an endoscopy today and said everything looked good except an inflamed mouth (maybe it's a neck) of duodenum. A week or two of high protein liquids followed by soft foods would help it heal. That can be done at home. Well, this evening his temp went up to 103, blood pressure and heart rate increased dramatically, and he had chills. Here we go again. They are doing blood and urine cultures and culture of output from gallbladder drain and have started him on antibiotic. His is beginning to feel better already and temp, bp, and hr are coming down. I really am not making this up. It feels like a bad dream. I sent text messages to my sons. One of my sons called immediately and asked how I am doing. I just lost it. Tears, tears, tears. Ugh.

Have a good weekend everyone. Stay warm if you are in a cold zone, stay safe in the storm if you get one, stay happy no matter where you are.

Hemp Seed oil and Hemp or Cannabidiol oil are NOT the same and do not have the same contents of cannabidiols in them. Hemp seed oil is good for nutrition but not for cancer effects as much as a regular Hemp oil or cannabis oil will have.

Watch Run From The Cure by Rick Simpson. CBD oil will not work as fast, if at all, as Rick Simpson Oil which is potent with THC.

"Stable... no new areas... regression..." Annie! That's wonderful news!!! So happy for you!!! And by the way, I am also using a bit of Frankincense oil directly on a few areas. I should remember to do it more often. It sounds like it might really be helping you, and hopefully Carol, too. And glad you got home safely!

Wendy, so glad your PetScan is behind you! I'm sure you're going to get great results too with everything you've been doing and how well you feel. But darn, I hate it when any of us has to wait for results.

Jane, I'm glad you've found us! Just a little heads up -- this thread can move very fast, and even those of us who know each other sometimes can't keep up with everyone's posts, especially if we're away for any time. So don't be intimidated. Just continue to jump in whenever you feel like it.

Awww, Lynne, you must be so worn out. Thank goodness your son was there -- at least on the phone -- when you had your meltdown. Are your boys all nearby? Hopefully, one or more of them will show up this weekend for some added support. I'm sure they realize this has been a huge strain on you, too. I am continuing to hold you and your DH up in prayer. You have both been through so much! And even from here it feels a bit like a bad dream. I can't imagine how emotionally draining this has been for you.

I hope everyone's weekend includes happy moments and progress for those of you dealing with hospital stays and other challenges -- Bosco, Lynne, Cristina, and anyone else I might be missing. Stay warm if you're in the path of that arctic cold snap.

Lynn I am sending you thoughts of peace. And gentle reminders to take care of yourself. Remember to eat, hydrate and breathe.

Bosco wishing you good medicine and rest and care in the hospital so you can return home.

Christina You are in my thoughts. It seems this has been a long struggle for you and your dh. I wish for you some good news soon.

Annie I love the word stable. I am smiling about your good news and terri's fab kittens.

I am in Missoula this weekend. Exhausted but happy. I am so proud I could burst as my daughter was in the university's production of the vagina monologues.

Good wishes for peace to all

    Hi All!

Wendy, I won't get down to Victoria until end of May, any place that you know of in Nanaimo? Do I need to get something from my Dr? Boy, am I out of touch. I have some weed at home that someone gave me, but I don't want to smoke it, I'd like something a bit more "medicinal"

Oh Lynne, so disappointed & frustrated for you. Poor DH, I hope the antibiotics kick this nastiness to the curb. Tears can help, let it out. ((hugs)) As for the weather here, it's only rainy, very rainy, but not cold at all. Overnight last night was 10c or 50F, which considering it's February is not too bad.

Thanks Jane for the name of the video, I will try to catch it.

Wishing all a painfree weekend, cheers, Dee

Bosco - so sorry you're in the hospital. Praying for a quick recovery for you!

Lynne - wowsa wowsa. That has to be beyond frustrating - one step forward, two steps back. I am so sorry you and DH are going through this. I would have melted down a lot sooner than you did. Take good care of you and DH; you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Annie - HOORAY! Love the "S" word (Stable). That's great news.

Jane - welcome to the thread!

Mary - congrats to your daughter! That's so fantastic!

Cristina - fingers crossed for your DH's interview. Cancer is enough to deal with - financial stress just isn't fair.

Babs, Carol, Lindalou, Linda, Dee, Deanna, tx mom, , , , .everyone..... sending hugs!

    Good morning all

Welcome to you Jane now is the hardest part it will get better I promise and all the info you will gather from these lovely ladies will make you stronger.

Dee I'm not sure about anywhere else on the island must be I would just google it. I wouldn't smoke it either you need specific strains of MJ with high CBD counts. They are growing the stuff specifically for us gals. Every dispensary sign up is different most are happy with a copy of your initial diagnosis. Googles "Weeds glass and gifts" I go to the one here on Burrard but it's a chain and I know they are in Victoria

Lynne life can be so unfair sometimes. You are so strong holding everything together even with your own issues to contend with. I hope your sons are not too far away and can lend some support even if it's a strong shoulder or hug. My boys are only seventeen and I try to protect them from this as much as I can but sometimes it's only family that can really help. I am wishing for you and your husband some good news and healing. Sending you a big hug.

Terre sending hugs back at you isn't it wonderful how these sentiments circle the globe.

    Wendy

Ps true hemp oil makes a great salad dressing and is healthy as such but won't do much else.

Bosco - Hope you are home soon and feeling fewer side effects! Sending good thoughts to you that you get some relief soon.

Annie - great news on the test results!!! I think we automatically get 5 days off from thinking about cancer when this happens :-)

Terre - love the kitty pix!

Cristina - Hoping that job for DH comes through! I've been the breadwinner (and everything else) before and it is tough even when you feel good. I used to make a "Plan B" for myself and updated it regularly so that I was able to feel less trapped. It made me feel a bit more in control...even if I didn't exercise the plan. Sending good thoughts your way!

    Hi Patty!

Welcome Jane! I'm almost four months in with this dx and the anxiety has dropped thanks in part to the folks on this board.

Lynne- Hope your husband stabilizes soon so you can both go home! It does make a big difference to have our children nearby when we need support!

Have a warm and pain free weekend ladies!

Bosco and Lynne: thinking of you both and hope you can have the comforts of home soon.

Annie: such great news! Hooray for good scans.

Well, he is here! We adopted the sweetest little scruffy terrier and we are in love. We named him Macaron, Mac for short. It's only been a few hours, but I can say that he will be very helpful in keeping my mind off MBC. And I may become one of those crazy posts-lots-of-pictures-of-dogs people. You have been warned. :)

Happy Valentines Day to all! Dh was so cute this morning, he was awake very early and woke me with the most beautiful orchid and a box of my favorite Lindor chocolates. I didn't get out to get him anything and now I feel bad. If I can brave the cold later I will get him something. It's currently -24 without the windchill, just frigid! Makes my bones ache.

I want to thank all of you for being there for me before, during and after my scans. I honestly don't know what I'd do without all of you. I really consider each and everyone of you as dear friends and even though we've never met I feel a connection to you all. I pray for you daily, I'm saddened when you're having troubles and my spirit is lifted and I celebrate when there's good news. Each and everyone of you is very special to me.

Rachel, that is one cute dog! I'm so happy for you, post as many pictures as you like.

    Hugs to all, Annie

    Good morning all!

Rachel, beautiful! What a lovely photo to see first thing this morning, both children & adorable pup.

Annie, I feel the same as you, but you put it into words much better than I ever could. I don't know how I would ever get through this without all my friends on the bone mets thread.

DH & I don't buy each other anything for V day, but I made a lovely dinner last night & we shared a nice bottle of wine in the candlelight. Nice.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. No dirt therapy for me today, it's foggy & drizzly, basically an ugly west coast day, perfect for staying in, in front of the fire. Cheers to all of you, Dee
