Congratulations Babs. I know he didn't wait for you but what a joy to arrive to see.

Swess, I know I am likely biased but I would say no, you are not unreasonable to be looking for a change. I am also working full time but find I am constantly trying to figure out how best to manage work and this illness.

When I was first diagnosed as Stage IV I went on STD but quickly decided to go back to work. I hated sitting at home with nothing to think about but my cancer. I was irritated by the need for a gradual return to work. But, a few months later, it became clear to me that I am not as tough as I thought I was. To be fair, I had issues in the summer with a lung infection and felt great for a few weeks after that was resolved but now, on Xeloda, I am dragging my butt. I hit the wall at about 3:00 and struggle to make it through the rest of the day. Now, only a few months after fighting to get back to full time I am looking to cut back.

Unfortunately, it seems to be the nature of this beast. We just don’t know what will be thrown at us or how we will respond. And ultimately, we need to cut ourselves some slack! Look around you and I bet you will see employees taking time off for minor ailments and insignificant concerns. You’re dealing with a lot and, I suspect are more dedicated than many. You need to put yourself first. Nobody will pin a medal on you if you work yourself into the ground

    Hugs. Pat.

Oh Babs he's beautiful. I love seeing your pictures. You also help me feel I may have a life to live while stage 4.

Swess think of it this way. You would hate it if the quality of your work suffered because of cancer fatigue. Working 20 hours a week would allow you do the best job you can.

I can't remember the screen name. But someone on the board mentioned arthritis. Thanks for the reminder to look at that angle. I know my knees have significant arthritis. It's all connected.

Ok now I have something else to worry about. One lymph node in the back of my neck popped up. Anyone have something like that happen
