Kathyec-yes, that was Niagara! I saw the same photo on the news today and thought it was way cool. Maybe you can paint that too? I like that we have ladies here who paint! Glad you got to spend some good time with the boymanfriend. How I love that term!

CC is a very talented artist and has shared some things with me.

Ginger- danged, don't you hate when that happens? I do it sometimes on e-mail too, hit a key I did not mean to and zap, it's gone! Well, share here again. if and when you are ready!

Fur- how nice you got dressed up and out for a party. A pretty dress makes us feel good. Wine tastes funny to me sometimes too, not sure why?

Cami- I hope you have a good energy day! Nerdy

I was tired yesterday and just puttered around home and did house things, laundry, etc. I did get out late in the day for a walk and that felt good. Slept well last night too and waking up feeling good today.

I am heading to a salsa class later this morning, something new I want to try and then later to the spa for some girl time with a friend who is taking me there as a belated Xmas gift (cool, huh?) I will check in later and let you know all about that!

    Calgon, take me away.....

so far this year have heard of two people who have died of cancer, one first diagnosed six months after me,  and both went downhill suddenly in a matter of weeks - how do you all cope with this? I feel rattled and have lost my confidence against little c, i feel condemned....

lily, that is that dark place our minds go to, but see you are here doing the right thing and talking about it. you do it in such short little bursts, so good for you! i can wear out so many pairs of ears, it is, as camillegal says, recockulous.  it is hard. no-one would deny that. this is the part where we come to terms with our very lives. and especially if we had never done that before. i lost two of my very best friends ever, in just a little over a year, one from bc, and lung in the other case. and both those women were admirable in so many ways. they just really insisted on living and enjoying life as best as possible, and were always wanting to do something. and then they would hermit. and i would think of them and wonder what it would be like to live with this scary diagnosis. well i guess i found out. and it gave me a more profound respect for them. and i so miss them, and yes in the end, it was what i do hope was mercifully fast. we can rage, it is ok and you are safe here, and we care. we KNOW, we get it. but i still wish we all lived on the same block.

grade 2 is nowhere near as agressive as grade 3, and that is good. also, you are not having the agressiveness of her2 positive. someday, 20 years from now (or maybe even a year) you will be answering questions from frightened newcomers to this diagnosis, and remembering where you were, will be uniquely qualified to allay some of there fears. this is just the work we must do, and time is our best friend, because as it passes, much healing is just somehow automatically done there, invisibly. for sure, just try to remember a thing or two that made you happy before all of this, and try to do them again. they still have the power to make you happy, and i think cancer hates happy. it can be a tool in your toolbox. thinking of you, and sending my invisible healing warrior your way, to wrap her wings around you. god i sound calm today, but that doesnt mean i wont be a basketcase tommorrow, or even later today! there is no schedule, nor reason to our feelings or thoughts, and i do believe i have a "bad" habit of letting mine get the better of me.  andiamo, me vo, ma non so dove.

Hi hermits- back from the spa and ahh, great afternoon with my friend Michele. She had never been to this place before and loved it. Everything was divine and my face, hair and feet all look and feel great. Boy I needed that!

I went to a salsa class at the gym this morning and was shaking my thang! My oh my, it was fun but some of the steps and moves were a bit fast for this old gal. I had learned salsa back in the 1980s, when I lived in Puerto Rico for a few months, and it is big here where I live. Doing it for fitness and fun, and it is a great work out. I will go again, I forgot how fun dance is and what good exercise it is too.

The Golden Globes will be coming up son and plan to watch them. I love to look at the dresses!

It has been a good day today!

Jazzy, that photo is beautiful! I love the rich dark colors with the moonlight splashed across the water. CC and kathec, I would love to see what you come up with if you do paint it!!

furfriend, glad you had a good time and treated yourself to new clothes and a hat to make you feel pretty.

Gingerbrew, I think we all have experienced that!  It is frustrating to no end!

Jazzy, I was thinking about the colored lights at the falls when I saw the daylight shot. I'm so glad someone got a photo of it.

Oh and Kathyec and others, I signed up for a writing class today with a friend/colleague to do another short story course. I know Bob through music connections and have taken courses from him before. I did this one a few years ago and going to do it again. It is four weeks, and something I can commit to at this time.

Some of you have been very gracious about complimenting my writing, and know I have things in me (including a novel) that are just waiting to be written. And so it begins.

I hope everyone has had a good ending to this weekend, and wishing everyone continuing on with treatment, having doctors visits, and all the rest a good week.

Teka- no Clooney but they zinged him about the Gravity movie and wanting to float away into space vs. hanging out with a woman his own age. Must say, pretty funny!

CC- hope you are enjoying Downtown Abbey. I have never gotten into that show, but like Call the Midwife. Not sure that is on anymore, but it was for awhile.

I'm awake  again, every so often I wake up---

Jazzy u are unbelievable, u keep u'rself soooo busy, I would think work is enuff, are u naturally a type of person that has to be busy, or is this something new. Amazing

CC u'r right all the talent and skills on this thread--well I can burp loudly at will and taught my grandson how to do it. That's my talent. And I'm proud of it, I'll go against any man on that one. That's why I taught Joey, my DD gets all uppity, hell I raised her what did she expect from me?

Lily I think it's safe to say we have all lost close people in our lives way to early, but to focus on that all the time is so unhealthy--life is filled with surprises, some horrendous, some wondrous and the more u think of horrendous u miss the wondrous. Lily none of us will get out of dying, but dwelling on it makes the present miserable and u loose what happiness u may have, u'r wasting time with unhappiness and that's so sad, Can u try to read or do something that u really liked to do in the past and bring it in u'r present-whatever it may be. Start small and give u'rself so much time a day when u don't think of anything sad, but think of some happy times and every day go a little longer and let that be something u plan on everyday and just do that. Just give it a try.

Cami- I am a pretty high energy person, usually busy but of course, with all that went on, it knocked me down hard and I am still coming back. To do that dance class today was a big step for me because of all the surgeries and healing. Things are not the same with the abdominal area after the surgery for the appendix in 2012, still trying to loose belly fat and get in shape. It felt good to be able to do that class today, and the dancing will help my core, and maybe help me to burn calories.

Good morning hermits- another good night of sleep! The exercise and spa time did its job!

Golden Globes interesting. I find it a better show than others because there are always interesting winners.

This was my favorite dress on the red carpet.

Jazzy that dress is beautiful, but she should have worn long slim earrings---oh can I criticize.
