CC we got the same snow u did--now are u supposed to get a windfall on Friday night and Saturday--cuz we are--so get the shovel out. And CC what u'r feeling is totally normal--I call it aftershock (not the medical term) but I make up my own so that I understand things. So do whatever u feel is good for u.

CC- I hope you are doing better. Memories can trigger that need to release our emotions. We all go through a lot with this stuff.

Good morning hermits. TGIF and here is a pretty sunrise to get your day going!

Well I applied to get a copy of the results to find out what kind of infection I had post op and it is a "very rare" infection not often found in humans, no one has any idea how I contracted it, including the surgeon. So how can i protect myself against it for future procedures? No wonder the normal antibiotics given did not work as they don´t work on this kind of infection.........I am a bit fed up with being the person who always gets rare things that complicate issues.......my vascular disease is rare also.

CC- not my photo but one off the local tv station that posts great photos from all around the state. Many of the sunrises have been that pretty lately though, winter skies are the best here.
Lily-wow, a rare infection? That is just unbelievable. Most hospitals in the US have stats on line about infection rates, may be time to see if your hospital in Spain has such information. Some places are better than others with keeping infection rates down.

does not seem to be a hospital acquired infection.......no evidence of that, even dr google says its very rare, nirmally need to have pre existing pathology, bit worried its cancer rearing its head but trying not to even think that

Lily- your immune system is still probably down from everything.
Ugh, my GI system is acting up today. Glad I am working from home today....

Jazzy, what a darling picture ... warm and fuzzy ...

Sally, I thought so too. February means one month closer to Spring! And daylight savings in early March-whoot whoot!
We don't seem to be getting much winter here, unlike our friends back east. Therefore, I feel ready to bring spring on and get back out in the gardens!
CC- my GI stuff has settled down. It may have been a reaction to some spicy food I ate for breakfast. I think I need to remember not to do that again!
Working on some travel plans coming up in April to Texas and this summer for a family gather back east. Things to look forward to, and friends and family to spend time with!

Jazzy, the family gathering back east isn't interfering with the music fest in Colorado, is it? Planning trips is always part of the fun for me.

Sally- oh no, the CT/RI trip is in addition to that trip I told you about earlier this month. Music fest is Aspen is the third week of June. Family gathering is the third week of July. Sort of close together, but two things I just have to do! I have not done a lot of traveling in awhile (most of the trips the past few years have been for family funerals, cancer treatment in AZ or follow up there, etc.) so catching up with some trips and reconnections this year is a priority to me. I did get that fab trip to Hawaii in last summer, which feels like a thousand years ago now.
What is even better about the Aspen trip, is that the friend I am going with from here wants to drive up and back (about 8 hours each way) and the house we are staying at is a friend of hers and is FREE to us for the week. So it is a really low cost trip, which is good because the one back east won't be. Plane fare, car rental, hotel stays and the like. I am starting to figure all that out now to put money aside for when the time comes.
Work hard, play hard.
CC- spring in Ireland, love it!
Teka- I think I read on another thread you are under the weather with diverticulites? I hope you are feeling better.

Teka, hope the diverticulitis departs quickly. Is this the first time you have had it?

Hi everyone==I've been exceptionally lazy lately, I did do some work today.
Teka I'm glad u'r better, so u know all about this then.
Jazzy what a beautiful pic. and u vacations sound wonderful and I know u will relax some on these.
Lily sorry about this infection, u'r immune system (I think( can manufacture so many things, when it's so low. I know personally I had infections they didn't know how to treat right away, and some only 3rd world country (their words) get, and special one that no one had seen since they read about it in med school, however we catch these strange things who knows, they don't. As long as they can treat it.

Cute story from today. Met my friend Bobbie for a walk in the nearby park and she had her 3 year old son with her. When we do this, we do a couple laps around the park track, then go down in the playground area for her son to play.
Today there were lots of children there and they were playing "Titanic" and one kid was running around saying "we're on the Titanic and hit an iceberg!" The kids played some more and then were all jumping up and down with glee "we are sinking!" As though that was a good thing.
The innocence of children.

Gee Teka I've never watched one, just don't like football and neither does our dog, he watches TV with me whenever a football game is on, when it's over he leaves. Typical male just uses me and my TV.

But Teka, did you enjoy the commercials?
0 -
This was my 4th Football game. SEAHAWKS!!!!!

I fast forwarded most of the game, but watched the ads. I was disappointed with those too. They spend $$$$millions for a 30 second spot. I was looking to be entertained. I did love the 2 Doritos ads, and of course, the puppy & Clydesdales from Budweiser.
Do any of you watch the Olympics opening ceremonies? I don't care much for summer sports, but I do enjoy a lot of the winter ones. I hope there's no trouble in Sochi.
