I have 3 cats. Yes I said 3. FYI, you have to have at least for to be a crazy cat lady While I was recovering from my mastectomy, I would walk with my parents everyday when they walked their dog. I would open my front door and the dog would come right in looking for my cats. One of my cats would walk up in front off the dog and roll over on her back. Then she would rub her face all over the dog's leash. Of course the dog wanted nothing to do with her. The dog seemed to only be interested in the other two cats who were staring at her from a distance and hissing.

Hi hermits- I am not sure what is happening, but is sounds like some are needing to step away. I honor and respect anyone's decision to come and go as they need to. Thanks for being here with us and please come back if it fits in the future.
I am wishing everyone here a peaceful heart, good health and many years ahead of joyful times with loved ones.

Good morning hermits!
A busy week but some good things as part of it. I started my writing class on Tuesday and think it is going to be very good. I am going to write a story about a coal miner in PA during the depression years, based on a story about my grandfather that my father told me. The class includes about 12 people of diverse backgrounds, and we share our stories with each other at the end of the class. I have some writing to do this weekend!
Also went back to my fav yoga class on Wednesday!
I have to go get some blood work done this morning and a few other things today, but plan to keep my day simple with some exercise thrown in.
Hoping everyone here has a good weekend.

Dutchiris- thinking of you today. The anniversaries of finding out are not easy days to get through.
Teka- yes for sure! My writing teacher is helping me to take experiences and spin them into a short story.
How is everyone else doing today?

Jazzy, hope your blood work is okay. It sounds like you have some writing homework ... how did it go?
Hi CCFW, dutchiris. and Cami.
Lily, did you and the dog take a walk?
Teka, hope you enjoyed your visitors. DD and her husband visited today. I always enjoy the energy that the "kids" (50 and 51) bring.
On my walk today, the cutest little boy of about 5 was driving his battery operated vehicle near where I was walking on the sidewalk. When he got it stuck, he looked at me with big eyes and a curious look and said, "I'm stuck." His dad was there to help, but he was so cute and soooo not concerned although he was confused that he was stuck. Joyful kids light up my day.

Teka- spoiled you Teka or cat Teka?
I was out and about today, home tonight working on the house and getting ready to work on my tax planner for my accountant.
Skittle- I was thinking about you and your feet today. I still have times with mine where they are stiff (although they are better since I went off and on the anastrozole). Sketchers shoes seem to really help my feet feel good. I found another pair of slip on today at a local fitness store and bought them. Sort of a heather grey, will be good for spring.
How was everybody's day?

About six weeks to daylight savings, 8 weeks to spring.

Ladies,
I think there is a dense fog in my brain as well. I forgot an apt this past week and had to reschedule for next week. Perhaps Chemo Brain???

Ginger WTH did I miss-- have a broken back??? OMG how, when WTF? Tell us.

Ginger, did you fall? Or do you have osteoporosis? I know with that, many times the bone breaks before you fall.
I'm sorry you're dealing with that on top of everything else.
Paula

I have to repost this every once and awhile for the newbees, and also because it it Teka's favorite.

Ginger, so sorry to hear about your back. Are you being well taken care of?
Jazzy, love the picture!

Cami- you know, I am on the go a lot, but don't do nearly as much as I used to (probably a good thing too). All I have gone through has taught me a few things- life is short and you need to focus and do what matters to you. I need to work for a living, so there is that, but I am trying to do the things that support my greater well being. Exercise, music, writing, my yoga practice, and time with people who care about me. Going through cancer treatment has given me so much clarity about so many things and people. It is a reality check like no other!
Having a slower morning today and then meeting a friend for lunch around noon. I started writing my short story yesterday. It is called the Red Canary in the Coal Mine.
I hope everyone has a nice Sunday!

Jazzy I like the name and I get the meaning. U'r just an amazing woman, and I'm sorry if I embarrass u and go on and on about u, but since I've known u u have just blossomed nd I love it--u've put more positive in u'r life, and it's wonderful and u are such a caring person. OK nuff about u Missy. LOL
Teka I love that pic too.
Paula u'v brought up such an interesting point, so many times a bone will break (even a hip) and we could fall and people will say they fell and broke a bone. And it's the other way around--it just amazes me how delicate our bones can get---well especially after all this chit--it seems to target our bones big time.
