Teka- best brownie EVER! Thank you!
Storms are brewing again. I am going to swim again today, working up to 3 times a week with the hope of better body strength, endurance, and a slim physique. A girl can dream......

Mags- I hope your stomach settles and you can sleep well tonight. Hopefully you are coming out the other side of the reaction now. Wishing you a better week after going through a lot this first treatment.
Cami- I have SO much more energy since I left that contract last Monday. I did a lot this past week and handled it all and was not exhausted like I often am. Speaks volumes to me about the environment I just managed to extract myself from. Onward to bigger and better things. Heard about a new work opp today I am putting in my back pocket, and hoping to hear about the one I am waiting on that I REALLY want this week. Fingers crossed!
I did my laps today and working to ramp up my metabolism. I gained a few pounds lately and need to shed those and then some. Really hard to loose weight on the AIs (sigh....)
Teka- what happened to the rest of the brownies? The family gobbled them down? I am going to have another sugar free root beer float tonight as my end of the holiday weekend treat.
Sally- how was your holiday weekend?
Blondie- how are you feeling today girlfriend? Are you getting your strength back?
Ducky, Onco, Piper, and all the rest, hoping you had a good holiday weekend with friends and family.

Hi Jazzy. I am so happy to hear about your extra energy. I hope whatever you contract to do next will allow you to keep up with the destressed you. You didn't tell us what you bought during the shopping portion of your adventures. I love hearing about fun finds.
As usual my weekend was quiet but pleasant ... nothing out of the ordinary ... oh wait, I have discovered that I like doing jigsaw puzzles. I bought several with scenes that I can imagine myself in and am enjoying the struggle of putting one together.
Mags, I hope you are getting peaceful, sound sleep.
I better sign off and get some sleep myself. I get to drive a DGD to and from her gymnastics practice tomorrow. Her dad set the time then she called and requested an earlier pick up. I wonder if we need to stop on the way or if she thinks Gramma is a slow driver.

Sally- glad you had a nice weekend. How cool to discover you enjoy jigsaw puzzles. I used to do them a lot when I was younger.
Maybe DGD wants to spend time with you and asks for earlier pick up to do so?
The store we went to is one of my fav boutiques in Taos and also one of my fav shoe stores anywhere. My friend went in looking for a wallet and came out with boots, I went in looking for nothing and came out with a pair of pants, two tops by a brand I really like and can never find, and a little short sleeve hooded sweater that will be great with some sleeveless dresses I am taking on my trip back east next week end. Thanks for asking!
Will keep you posted on the new work opps. I ask for the right thing to support me on all levels. Bring it on baby!

My grandaughters insist on putting those "brain squeezers" on their kids....I hate them damn things.....although I must say some kids wear them well, and others look ridiculous.....Shea is one of the lucky ones who looks good......its a big joke in our family about me and the head gear.............

Jazzy woke up to find a big puddle of water on her kitchen floor. Frig seems to be in crisis and repair person coming in the am. Meanwhile, I will mitigate with towels until I can get someone here.
The repair person thinks it is something with the defroster process, but the fridge itself may be okay. Better it happen this week than next when I am gone to the east coast for nine days.
Always something. It seems like there is always a leak somewhere lately- in my car, the roof, and now the fridge. Jazzy has a leaky life!

Aw Jazzy! I have the opposite problem – at least I did until a couple hours ago. Our master bath shower stall started backing up a few months ago and DH couldn't get anything to work so started using the guest bath to shower. What with all the medical issues and doc visits I just never got around to calling the plumber. Last week I did and he came today. Big John has been our plumber for 15 years or so. How did I not know his wife had BC? She is an 8 year survivor, NED. He went to all her chemos with her, knew her cocktail was AC, red devil, she had rads, he was very encouraging. I'm sure I didn't know because he is a very taciturn kind of fellow, just comes in and gets the job done. Not much of a talker.
Well, the drain is clear now, so if I feel up to it I may take a shower later. There was a Look Good Feel Better today but now way I'm going anywhere.
My right cheek inside feels all pebbly. Left is smooth. Weird feeling. Gut is still acting up.
This too shall pass?

Mags- so many things will go on hold with the medical treatment. I had someone come and finish a stucco job from some damage that occurred February 2013 when I was in between rad treatments. I have had some bigger water bills this summer because stuff is leaking all over the place. Every time I find one thing to get fixed, something else pops! Unfortunately, I cannot unplug/turn off the fridge like I have been able to do with drip system, toilet problems, etc. Dang it. At least it is happening this week when I am off from work now and can cope better. This too shall pass.
Glad you had a good chat with the plumber and got the drain fixed. So many women everywhere going through this. Every time I turn around, I hear someone I know has been diagnosed.
You need the encouragement of those who have made it through, as you will get through this. Hope the gut settles down. This too shall pass.

I feel like my life has caved in, I really do not know whether its worth keeping going, only my animals make me feel waking up is worthwhile but nothing else touches me and I again face the reality that my so called other half of some 19 years and myself have no connection at all anymore..................

Mags how r u feeling, did u make the pudding?
Lily I am so sorry that u r so far away from all of us, hang in there we r here for u ws much as we can b.

Me? Make the pudding? Are you joking? My cousin won't let me near the kitchen without supervision! Although I'm a pretty good cook. But she's so sweet she made me a batch. And oh man was it good. And there's more. And I'm not sharing.

Hi Guys----
Lily I'm so sorry u just can't pick u'r self up. This is probably a bad time for u'r DH, cuz he doesn't have a clue what he can do so he just probably stays away, is there anything u 2 can sit and talk about? Anything at all. Just to talk, just try.
Oh Jazzy u'd better get that job u deserve to
Ducky u'r baby is beautiful
Mags I hope this round is passing.
I had my D again this morning --somethings never change knocks me out slept a lot of the day between calls. So I'm still beat--OK gotta catch up with some calls.

Mags- pudding sounds like a good lunch. Hope you are continuing to feel better.
Lily- I am sorry about your significant other. I am not with anyone so I have not had to deal with this, but wondering if you have you tried to do couples counseling? Maybe with someone who is specialized around helping couples when one has a serious illness? Maybe someone through the cancer center or hospital where you received treatment? I know men are sometimes reluctant to these things, but worth asking? Please hang in there and try some other things.
Cami- I am sorry about the D. I know how exhausting that can be. I hope you can get rested up and feeling better.
Teka- what is blooming in the garden this week?
Blondie- I hope you are continuing to feel better. I will keep trying to entertain you as best I can!
I am watching the news tonight and seeing there are many severe storms around the Midwest and hope none of you that live in that area are being affected by that. Be safe my people.

I really need a garden today. Don't have a flower garden now, this was at our old house.
I'm still in bed, been up every hour or two to sit on the toilet. Bad gas pain type cramping. No idea what to do about it. Just curled up in bed.

Mag- so sorry to hear about the gas pains. Can you call the med onc who manages the chemo and ask if there is something you can take that would help the gas pain? My sister had bad D and gas with her chemo. I think they gave her something to help with that.
The repair person (woman) was here and it turns out the water filter hosing is shot. Will be back Thursday to replace it and the filter for around $200. She is a bit worried about the compressor though as it keeps turn on and off too soon, but may be because of everything going on. So I will watch that today to make sure that things are staying cool in the freezer. We have things taken care of for now. She said it is good this did not happen while I was away as it can flood a whole house. The person who comes to check on my house does know how to turn off the inside water though in the event of a water leak. Really glad this did not happen during any of my summer trips.
She happened to mention something about having breast cancer and it turns out we both had a similar diagnosis and have the same BS. Nice to actually meet someone in town who has gone through the same thing and has the same surgeon. Interesting how there are people who come into your path with similar stories.
