So far haven't actually had a treatment. Still waiting for word back about the plan. They had someone there from the proton center to make sure that whatever was done there would be compatible with proton treatment. RO is still convinced that would be preferable, and said that the results of the ct might give her grounds to appeal the insurance denial. MO said it would be ok to delay start if we did. I should hear something tomorrow.
Hoping DH will get around to putting the tree up today so that cousin and I can start decorating it. He has gone out to the grocery store to find a rib roast because he says we'll need it after doing the tree. How many bets he spends the afternoon asleep on the couch? He does that a lot lately. I think sleeping is his way of coping what's going on with me.
Tomorrow evening the CIO of his company is hosting a managers' Christmas party – actually, a reception at her home followed by dinner at a nice restaurant. It's casual, jeans, but I told DH I would wear my wig. I still have no foobs, so going flat. I really don't look that different, since my Buddha belly occupies about the same space my old saggy triple D's used to.
Have been following, haven't had much to say. Having to take pain meds for this danged shoulder. It didn't like being held in that position for rad sims for two hours. It's still complaining.

That is all this hermit has today

Watching I Love Lucy in color tonight on a CBS special. Sort of strange after seeing the reruns in black and white all those years.

Good early morning Hermies--I slept a lot on the weeken and re programmed my computer--U all know I don't have a clue what I did, but it took hours and still "configuring"-why do I do things I know nothing about?
Oh Lily I feel so bad for u'r troubles, depression is so hard to deal with and u don't feel well--it just makes thing so much more difficult (((HUGS))) I wish I could help
Foot are u going thru all of this alone? I hope I misunderstood that.
Sally seeing u'r GD doing gymnastics sounds scary to me, but exciting to watch. She must practice a lot, god for her. Social anxiety is more common than we think but u sound like u handles that well.
Bippy I know getting the operation over is such a relief, I remember when I had mne and told my sister I thught they changed their mind, cuz I felt no discomfort and she had hers a couple of months later thinking I just said that to make her feel better, but we both thought it was like nothng with no pain meds, I think a lumpectomy has pain to it. She had some lumpectomies along the way and she said they hurt.
Hey Blondie, Jazzy and Teka--u three are the backbone of this thread and Thak you.
Mags enjoy u'r stall of things for now and hope u get u'r tree up.
Our house n and out looks like a lit up whore house--it's so bright in every room. Joey did more this year, he's like over 5 feet so he can reach farther now, but he loves it.--
Welll I hope everyone has a good day, it's cold here but no snow. Since Leslie has to drive to school I pray for no snow when she has to drive.-I told u she got an A on her test last week but she said don't cunt on that anymore--she's now studying all skin diseases and it's all in medical terms so she's working hard.

thanks camille, that helps! I keep havin weird dreams about the surgery, but no scary ones at least. I want it all over so I can go back to work.
Lily and foots, it is a hard time of year. I spent tons of years so depressed about losing my fam, sometimes never even put up a tree. Wishin you peace.
Hi Teka! I am a coffee drinkin fool now that chemo is over.
Jazzy, hope your work is going well. I am going to be a freelancer too in February but as a paralegal. I cannot wait to get back and do a new area of law. NO. MORE. FAMILY. LAW. for me! Wondering when I should tell my old boss I aint returning there......should I bother yet? He just lurves the newgal, she works for free, in early and out late and he does not even miss me.
Anyhoo, bippy is enjoying the wonder of being SE free and DONE with the horrible chemo. Sellin on Ebay, and sourcing today. Fun to hunt down those bargains.

Bippy- I would wait to tell your boss about your return. It sounds like he already has someone who is working out okay for him (and work for free, what is that about?) When you do contact him, be sure to give him good notice and ask that he will be a reference for you. You can just tell him you need a different work arrangement going forward. You will love freelancing, not without it's hassles, but your schedule is much more you own.
My work is going to be done in 2 weeks on this contract. Many things are running late and the client keeps asking me to schedule things, cancels them, and then wants them rescheduled before end of year. Waste of everyone's time, but it comes with the end of the year stuff from her senior leaders (I use that word loosely) and outside of her control. I offered to stay until early January if they want me to finish a few things, but then will go after the first week of January, as I have my remaining reno work scheduled for the weeks of Jan 12 and 19th. I may find out more on that today. Still looking for a better gig for 2015. Most of the work coming my way is out of state and 100% travel which I cannot do.....
Footprints- hugs sister. This is a very difficult time of the year, and I miss my family too. I am not a big fan of the end of the year holidays, but do my best to get through them. I have felt like this since my brother died in 1992, it really just changed everything for me. Like Teka says, always a relief when Jan 1st comes. Keep talking to us here and going to keep checking in with you, okay?
Blondie- shingles suck, my sister got them during her chemo. I hope you can feel better soon. You have been put through the mill and then some. Hope the new kitten brings you a few smiles
Cami- I am curious to know what happens next at your house if it looks like a brothel? Get out your red lace and high heeled shoes girlfriend! LOL!
Wishing everyone else here a good day. Off for personal training once again, my only one this week and we are finishing up end of the month. Jazz continues to get lean and mean, especially mean!

hi jazzy, the new gal comes in early and stays late, no overtime. What is funny about it too is the boss is going more progressively nuts, he dictates entire novels of work, All of which is always redone entirely because he does it a 2am and whose brain is functioning then? Ugh, I do not miss that and I will not be transcribing anything in the future either! And working more is fine, but he will just expect it and never reward it. Well, her choice.....
Preps for my boobs goin away party continue today. Have a good one hermies

Good morning hermits- I went to visit my friend last night who had the surgery for endometrial cancer surgery last week, and she is doing really well, all things considered. She has her daughter down from CO to help, and her son was here but just left town. We had a good chat all the way around, and her daughter does all this healthy cooking and got to sample her risotto and other things she makes that are gluten free but also sugar free too. Totally delicious and I got some great info for my own dietary needs! My friend will find out this week the final results on her pathology from the surgery, and whether she needs chemo or not. Her surgeon said the cancer was very small and limited, no lymph node involvement, so fingers crossed for her. I will go see her again in a few weeks. She seems to have lots of support.
Bippy- I think unpaid OT has become the norm in many places, although I do not think that is a good thing either. I have experienced for years in my jobs and witnessed some of the worst of it on the big project I just finished in June at my client site. They had those poor people working up to 70-80 hours a week during go live support on salary only. These people don't make a lot of money to start, so it basically like working for free. Eventually that gal who is covering for you will get tired of being exploited, everyone wears from it. That boss sounds crazy anyways, good riddance!
Speaking of work, I am staying on just a few more weeks at this gig until Jan 9th to finish some work on this short contract. A couple things got postponed due to end of the year things that came up for my client, so we talked about it yesterday and she thought it would be fine (just have to get some invoicing done quickly for end of the year accruals). I am taking Xmas week off, but will work the following week and first week of January and then that will be that. I like to be able to finish what I came in to do, and it gives me more cash in the door until I hit the renovation zone in mid January.
I have three very busy and long days coming up so I will be away for a few days, but will check in here end of the week. Take care my hermie friends.

Sorry I haven't been on in a few days but I have been a bit busy.
Princess is doing great but is in to everything, thankfully not the tree! She went up to the dog this morning and started play with him. He just sat there and let her play. Her new thing is when I am on the puter and she wants to cuddle, she jumps up and lays across my chest!

Oleptro (aka Desytrel) has been prescribed for me as Dr says I am super stressed, its other name is Trazodone. i really don't want to take it as its the situation with mad neighbour that is stressing me out ........anyone heard of this or know anything about it? Google says its a serotonin modulator anti dep.........I am normally not good with them........
Why should i have to drug myself to deal with the stress caused by another?
0 -
Got woke up before the alarm clock went off this morning. Princess climbed up on the bed by her daddy's feet and walked right up to him and gave him kisses to wake him up before she walked over to me and sat on my chest and put her whiskers in my face to wake up mommy! She then walked over to the dog and whacked him with a paw as if to say "Wake up, big brother! Time to get up!"
0 -
Lily- I don't know anything about that drug, but hear you. I think there are many people that find themselves stressed because of other people. I have moved to other parts of the country because of such stresses in the past, so I totally get it.
I know you said your house was up for sale. Maybe you do this short term until you can find a better living situation? I think with these drugs, you sometimes need to think of them as something you do for awhile, not forever.

my kittaehs also play the wake up game, so cute! One is very dense, like a furry car battery with legs she is. So when she sits on your chest you cannot breathe....
Bippy had a rough day yesterday but my chemo/hermit sisters pulled me thru. Stressin and sad about surgery next week, but all will be well. Xanax is a helluva drug! Haha I am savin them for after.
Made roast chicken last night, it was amazing. Getting all my stuff ready and chores done. Sittin here drankin java and starin at the tree lights. Good morning Hermies

Princess played the "wake up" game again this morning. At least she annoys her daddy first before she comes over to wake me up lol
She sitting on my right arm right now, asleep of course!

Don't know if anyone can answer my question but yesterday afternoon I got a call from my plastic surgeon's office about my surgery. The expander surgery was moved from the hospital to a surgical center which is part of the hospital. Does this mean that its now being done on an outpatient basis? Was originally told that I'd be in the hospital for at least two days. This has got me worried.

My BMX and TE placement surgery was at a hospital (I spent 2 nights), but my exchange surgery (TEs to implants) was at a surgical center. It went really well. The surgery was in the morning, and I was home by late afternoon.

So quiet in the house right now, furbabies are napping. The kitten is doing well and has the run of the house and she has really suprised us at how good she has been. She spends most of the night in her kitty bed and then when its just about time for the alarm clock to go off, she gets up on her daddy's side of the bed and gives him kisses before she comes over and wakes me up by purring and laying down on my chest til I get up.
