Teka, Thanks for the welcome - I love this thread - very comforting! Yikes, that snow is way too deep. Glad it's rain here... hope you get to stay in and enjoy the beauty.

Holy Cow Teka!Snow finally stopped here! Looks like is starting to melt though

Hi hermits- I am hanging out in the hospital lobby right now, and if you ever want to see what human nature is about, hospital waiting areas are where it all goes down. Especially if you sit in them for hours......
We are on a break between meetings on the assessment and the vendor went off site to lunch, but I am trying to get caught up on a few calls and e-mails and just enjoying all the weird stuff here. I usually work in the admin building, I have not worked down here in a few years on my projects.
Teka- do you watch Days of our Lives? I seem to think most others are gone now? I used to watch soaps a lot when I was a teen. Another World was my favorite.
And yeesh, all that snow. I know if I were there, I would break out the snow shoes, but bet it is even too deep for that!
Welcome to our thread Daisy! Nice ladies here, comforting is a good way to describe this place too.

I used to watch the soaps on CBS but I got tired of the ridiculous changes to the story lines.0 -
Jazzy, thank you for the welcome. Is there snow shoeing in New Mexico? Or, are you a transplant from a colder climate?
Snow is finally sticking to the ground here... not much, though. I would like just a few inches... Not too much snow, since I am headed out to volunteer at a food pantry this evening.
It's a little ironic for me - I watch General Hospital when at home now. In college, my friends all watched, planned their schedules around it. I just laughed at them... Nowadays, my life feels a little like a soap opera sometimes... OK, minus all the romantic intrigue, drug abuse, and crime... And you ask, what else is there?
I find hospital elevators revealing of human nature as well...

Hi hermits! Been lurking. I hope everyone is hanging in there. The holidays can be hard. I've been missing loved ones lost but still find myself singing Christmas carols while doing chores. It's easier to get in the spirit when you have little kids who are excited.
I have one more taxol next wed and I will be done with chemo! Then on to the herceptin every 3 weeks and exchange surgery end of January or beginning of February. Sure hoping 2015 brings better times for all of us.
I wish we could have a kitten too but my older son is allergic to cats. Plus my Boston terrier would be terribly jealous as he is like a baby and very spoiled.
Shopped for baking supplies today...yikes it's a small fortune. But I love to bake and am planning on giving away some trays as gifts too. Hugs to you ladies, your a great support.

Welcome daisy lover. Janett, I don't think I welcomed you ... So welcome.
Teka, yikes ... Snow beautiful but I wouldn't want to have to drive in it.
Jazzy, I thought something was wrong when you said you were in hospital waiting room. Thanks for explaining. Awhile back you asked if I enjoyed last Saturday's DGD's gymnastic meet. Yes I did. had a good visit with her dad and his girlfriend too.
Thinking of you all and wishing my iPad was not acting quirky so that I can't always post when I want to

Sally- oh, if I were in the waiting room for anything I had to do for my body, trust me, I would not be posting anywhere. I am usually too pre-occupied with my own thoughts about the doctors visit, procedure, etc. to make conversation. And I agree with Maiden too, hospital elevators have their own unique character too.
Maiden- I am sorry you are feeling a bit down for the holidays. I am very thankful they will be over in a few short weeks. I was in the middle of treatment 2 years ago during the holidays and there is no way you can really feel up about anything. You are trying to get through. And holidays make us miss people. I do too. Hugs sister and praying your last chemo treatment goes well.
Daisy- I am originally from CT, lived out here 18 years now. But yes, there is snowshoeing here. We are in the high desert and get 4 seasons including winter. I have skied and snowshoed here, but we have not had much snow yet this season.
Done with the assessment and going to veg for awhile but hit the gym later......

Well, I got my 6th month doctor apt and associated mammo set up for the next follow up at the end of January scheduled today. So I will have the visit to the MO first (but will be seeing the CNP this visit) early in the month, and then see the BS and do the rest end of the month.
Also got my bone density test today. Increasing osteopenia since going on the AIs. I talked to my doctor sister about it. Not bad at this point, but worried what the devil pill will do another three years on this. Lots of doc apts and conversations to have in January.

Morning Teka- hope you are enjoying the holiday season! It is mild and sunny in the southwest this morning. We are supposed to get a bit of the "pineapple express" that is heading this way from the west coast. We will take the moisture minus the flooding, mudslides and all the rest CA got hit with.

Good morning, Love juxtaposition of North Country and New Mexico in this thread. In the warmth, in the cold, hermits linked by the internet... I have to venture out today - at least it's dry here. Jazzy, stay in - that's one powerful storm.
Teka and Jazzy, love the photos that you post... I was going to ask how you do it... then I opened my eyes and saw the tool bar above... (Can I claim "targeted-therapy-brain"?) Thanks for keeping me smiling.

Teka, once again chuckling... is that what happened - my son got boxers every year, a little family joke ? Off to acquire some germs out there...

Just drove home in what felt like a blizzard! The pineapple express has arrived and is bringng rain or wet snow! When I drove home this afternoon around 3 or so, it was 65 degrees and now we are getting a snow storm. Welcome to New Mexico in the winter!
