love the tuna disposal
Been lurking around lately because things have been really crazy here. Two weeks ago today, Princess got spayed. She's doing well and the incision healed very well. Wondered what she would be like on catnip, so last night hubby bought a bottle of catnip mist spray that you can spray on toys. Turns out she doesn't go bananas, she gets very mellow.

Mommy- nice to hear from you and glad you were able to get Princess her girl surgery. She must be pretty big these days? She sounds cute with the catnip!

Looks like she's almost full grown. She turns one in September. The little chit loves to wake me up a few mintures before the alarm goes off, not a half an hour like she did before her surgery.

Mommy- she sounds very cute! Always has!

Cute but very annoying sometimes lol

aww glad Princess is on the mend from her surgery. My kittehs have been there for me this past year. Sometimes they are better than people. Well, lots of times!
Last Herceptin is today. Caught a bad cold in SF, finally feelin better. Here is a pic from vaca

My furbabies are sleeping right now. We're having another not-so-wonderful 90+ day here!

Bippy- I did not realize you were still doing herceptin. I know that follows on for awhile after many other things end (my sister had a year of it and suspect you did too). Wow, so you are really done DONE now. Congrats sister.
Photo is lovely. Never seen the tall redwoods. I hear that place is amazing.
Sorry about the cold. Your immune system will probably be down for a bit. I hope the cold is waning and you are feeling better every day.
And about animals, I think they are far better than people because people are too critical and unloving to others many times. Animals are always glad to see you, even if you get mad at them, they always come around wanting to love you some more.

From the farmers market today, beautiful peaches and lovely flowers.

The flowers and the peaches are so lovely. Glad I was not with you cause I would not have any more money left. I would have bought some peaches and would have had to of bought those flowers if they were for sale.

Frey- my friend and I split a basket of peaches (5 each) and the flowers were $5. I think I probably spent about $25 there today in total between fruits, veggies and flowers. Love to support my community farmers!

Love the farmstands, I usually get corn and all the stuff that won't grow in my garden.

Oh! That is a great bargain! Enjoy those peaches. The pictures are so pretty.

Mommy- I was hoping for some corn yesterday. I have not seen any there yet, but we are coming into the time the corn should be harvesting. I love fresh corn on the cob!

Butter and sugar corn is the best!

Mommy- oh yes, it surely is!

Indeed!

Teka- I love the photo of Teka! What cat does not love a good box?
Here is what I did with the peaches this morning. Other fruits from the store, little lemon and fresh mint (from my little potted herbs) for a finishing touch.

Ok, I need some help here. I can tolerate b;and foods and sweet stuff but everything bleck.
Water starts tasting really bitter after about 8 ounces
Tried - not so good:
Coke
7-up
mountain dew
Things that work kind of:
Tea cold
milk
strawberry fanta
I am adding a bit of lemon juice or sugar to my food and that is helping get rid of the metal taste as i eat. I am using plastic cups, plates, spoons and forks.
Can you all share what you drank from your past chemo se's (those that had taste changes.) ?

My cat is so weird! She doesn't like boxes, bags, etc. She is definitely not a normal cat. My Rufus, however, now there was a CAT.
Here he was helping us decorate the Christmas tree and put up the village.

Lily- several bco sisters here have talked about adult coloring books being very therapeutic for PTSD issues. I now have one and it is great for helping with overall stress management. Mine features mandelas with some positive affirmation messages. I will share I that I like it far more than I could have expected. A coloring book and some crayons is a nice inexpensive way to help ourselves.

Wow jazz. I pulled out my coloring books tonight. They are calming. Hubby told me that he saw an article on Msnbc that indicated some of the top selling books on the list are adult coloring books. Going to have to find that article.
Those are very nice pics Teka. The colors are calming and quiet. I can put myself there.
Lily- hugs to you. I hope you can find some coloring books. It sounds silly but they do work. What is great about them is you can step away at any moment and then go back and color for 30 seconds if you feel a bit to a scattered. You can find some great ones on amazon. You can get the Mandela ones or others that are like fairies, or other unique pictures. You can use colored pencils or whatever floats you boat.
Shutterbug has a great mandela one . She posted a pic in another thread and that is what made me pull mine back out.
Weird. have not thought of them in the last ten years but a month ago Shutterbug had a party and posted about them and I pulled mine out. Today suddenly, I remembered and actually colored...and now here reading once again about them.
I just snapped the books so you can see an example:

Don't know if Princess would like a cat bed like that. I imagine she would stay warm all winter long though.
