Julz, Sorry you're feeling so down. That was a really good post on your facebook page. It said exactly what we're trying to say here. Some of the commercialization is ridiculous. Sending your yoghurt tops in to the company is a prime example. Why don't they just donate on the basis of how much we buy?

Ladies there are so many good words here . Barbie, Wren, Julz. linda, Mini.Granny, Ducky. Not a time for me to have gotten into a funk(depressed). It would be so great to be able to be together at a table with a reverse board with a posting of everyone's statement. Then going from each poatis while be able to see everyone elses words.Many of you have done what has been needed . Recognizing that we don't want to offend , but teach. That is huge. That will bring more understanding to the message than one word of anger. From a construction standpoint. Most have seen where I started to record the slogans. I recorded several boxes in a row that said reserved forpges 6-10.
I sugesst that on the POTR archive page we do the same thing. Each reserve a box. The boxes will then be right after one another. I'll reserve three--arbitrary number--Thinking first draft, second draft final draft. Do not move your whole draft to your reserved box. Look at what you have written. Transfer to your reserve box. The most important sentences or words to your box. Once we have transferred to our boxes. The "bones" of what we want included. We may see a trend. In catching up I do see atrend. A strong trend against commercialization. Use of money for research. Use of money to help those in need.
The guts of what we want said is already here. The hardest part is to put the final statement together.
The archive link is already in the header. Think of these boxes as are flip charts. Once you have your box, you can edit at will. Generally , a vision statement is no longer that 7-8 sentence. Each sentence can/could stand alone. When we get our boxes created,We then can talk directly to each other. Once astatement is decided upon ,I can put it in the draft box.
Having several drafts are okay, when then can have A box where I ask "does everyone agree on" X statement"
You then--say yes or know As we move along if something is tossed then we just erase it in our box. This will keep the info in each box short. You will have all reading available here on the discussion board If you want towrite a long post here on the discussion board--then do it and say in your archive box refer to my post page-22 as an example. If we allow the boxes to get too much info in the archive box, we will have trouble seeing the tree b/c of the forest.
Traveling between the two threads can be facilitated by putting a link in your box C&P, or using the link in the header. either way works.
I will start it off by going and reserving the draft boxes and maybe a guestion box. That would be used to say"do we agree On this staement"x". Once agreement was done the question would be deleted and the statement would be put into the draft box. Say there was a wish to have another way to say something --then is's put in draft box two. Once we agree on the draft then we work on each sentence. Agreed sentences are put in the final draft.
Once all this is completed, we review the final draft for acceptance
Then we are done
Depending on how long this takes. we can decide whether to move to a mission satement.
Since there is no plan yet to move beyond acoordinated vision statement. I would say lets just relax on that, and enjoy working together on the vision statement. I say enjoy b/c if you think of what we are trying to do without a face to face. We will be thinking about our words for the statement AND trying to use the box system to talk. So both will be alearning scenario.
As facilitator don't be offended if I say something like too much info in your box pease shorten or whatever. Remember we are making this up as we go along.

Wren I'm just a few weeks out from RADS....that's it I'm done. It's good that I don't have anything more than just RADS. BUT I'm in that weird new gray zone. Not sure but I am either triple neg. or double neg with Her2+ (they didn't test it as the invasive was too small). DCIS with the micro-invasive. I feel like I'm in la la land....waiting for the other shoe to drop. I know I shouldn't feel that way....but it is what it is! Anything else is overkill & dangerous to my health because of the blood clot family hystory I have. Also I get the "feeling" just a 6th sense that the Dr's (I think there were 5-6 that discussed my tumor) are saving it all just in case I need it later on. I will go on it's just gonna take time for all this to fade.
Well I agree about the yogurt! I am just starting at a local support group at our local Y......They just sent an E-mail out wondering if we wanted to consider buying a particular treadmill that is offering for "Pink" month a donation of .10 cents for every mile that is walked in October. The treadmill is a really good one for mass use & costs about 5 to 6 Grand & is "PINK". So some one did the math & figured out that if the treadmill was utilized at 5 miles an hour, times a 12 hour day, times 30 days a month, the company's donation would be $180.00 to an organization that raises millions and we would be putting out at least $5 Grand! We did the math & turned the idea down. That's Pink crap for ya!
Granny It amazes me what people have said about BC in general. Maybe you could give us a sample without there names of course!

Now I was invited to do a walk for bc from my tech.On fb i told her if its for komen NO...its for ACS....im not to thrilled with them either....and im sure the outfits are in pink!!!!!yeah and pigs fly...

I feel totally clueless. Like I did in English classes where everyone was discussing things I never saw in the book. Just wrote down what they said and memorized it for the test. That was back when I had a memory.
