Well...CRAP!!!
I had an appointment with my MO last Monday. My only complaint was a slightly nagging pain behind my right shoulder blade. I would not have mentioned anything, but it was in the same spot that I had hurting prior to DX and it went away after my second chemo.
Had a CT scan last Friday got a call from my MO today, I have an enlarged lymph node...may have been one (out of the 17 they removed) that was left behind that is just full of scar tissue or may be something else. I have a PET scan scheduled for Thursday. SHIT, SHIT SHIT!!!0 -
chrisrenee -I can't read the Facebook post, but hope that all went well today. Make sure to rest now and heal.
Kslansky - sorry to hear of your troubles. I will pray that it is just scar tissue! Keep us posted.
Hugs to everyone!!!!!!!😺0 -
Chrisrenee, I could not get to the facebook post either but I hope that you are resting well and everything went according to plan!
klsansky, hope that it's just scar tissue!!
Momof3, getting things in order before next week?
Packing up tomorrow for the next round of soccer games. Will check in!0 -
Aruba- Yes I am trying to get things in order for next week, but today I took time to go to my DDs last soccer game. They lost the game, but seemed to really be having fun. My older DD even got flowers since today was her last game at middle school. All the girls were hugging each other and it was really nice to see. I am glad that I was there for the game. Have fun at you games this weekend.0 -
here we go, copied it from my FB page.
Good evening! Today was my last surgery. Surgery went well, I was in surgery about 2 hours recovery about 45 mins and back in my room for about 1 hour. I got home around 1230. Jon took me by chick fil a for lunch it was great. I took about about a 2 hour nap. I only hurt when I cough take a deep breath or move. 😛 I will be sleeping in my recliner for the next 2-3 nights that way the swelling doesn't settle in my chest and my affected Lymphedema arm. I was able to wear my sleeve and glove for my LE into the OR, thank you Amy for the suggestion. So that's my update so far on today's surgery. Thank you all for the well wishes.

Chrisrenne - glad you are home and resting! So was your anesthelogist cute? Thought about you all day, glad you checked in. If I go to FB now, I won't get anything accomplished...
Momof3 - you are next. Congrats to your girls!
Kslansky - shit, shit, shit is right. I will be in your pockets on Thursday with no calorie treats. Hope it's just an inconvenience and nothing too serious. You are doing the right thing to have it checked out. Call backs are the worst but we have a pretty good track record here.
Positive thoughts, hugs and prayers to all of you!0 -
quick check-in
Momof3 - Ocean Peace is beautiful, love the name
Chrisrenee - good to hear all went well
Kslansky - fingers crossed and in your pockets for PET scan - hoping for scar tissue
Aramance - I have struggled with Tamoxifen, lots of arthritis type symptoms in joints and back, still having lots of hot flashes. My tumor was 100% ER positive, as well as high PR and HER2 positive so I struggle on with the tamoxifen. 10 mg at a time works better for me.
Believe - you truly are an angel, smile every time I look at my new bracelet
I have a genetics appointment finally on Friday and port removal booked for Nov. 8th
Hi to everyone else
Take care everyone0 -

Hi ladies.... I mirror what PAEagles said:
Happy dance for Websister having her port out!! I Was SO GLAD to get rid of that fucking thing!
Fingers crossed for kslansky that it is lots of scar tissue! (Any word yet!?)
Crazy CRAZY day here at Party City... Welcome to the JUNGLE my friends... no really. One department was dressed up as Noahs Ark. Mgr was Noah and everyone else were animals!! Another dept was the people of Grease, another Disney characters! I'm just wearing a black bowtie with flashing lights in each corner to be festive. I'm a dept of ONE and feel a bit left out. :-( It's also my wedding anniversary and because one of my hubbys managers got transferred he has to work until 10:30 to cover the schedule gap. I bought us two filet mignon 's - and I'll be eating alone. I'm feeling rather sad. BUT I'm going to go to the gym to get the serotonin pumping after work.
I weighed in at the metabolic center yesterday. Down 2.8 in 3 weeks. Meds are starting to work. I've had to resume counting calories. Even without carbs and sugar and I can eat too many caloroies. Like butternut squash ... LOVE IT... Roasted! But LOADED with carbs! didn't realize it until I started tracking again. I have moments I'm SO FUCKING FED UP with this weight loss journey, prepping food and taking snacks with. Leaving events to make sure I don't harm myself with food (like the company lunch today... cake, candy, pasta, chips!!!) And then I'll be in a exercise class and see my legs in the mirror and SEE the difference in their shape... It's JUST SO FUCKING SLOW that staying on point is so challenging. But I've come to far to quit now. I'm determined to be THIN again. I want to get back into a size 8. I don't expect to ever see a 6 - but an 8 would be nice. Now I'm a solid 10 and at times those are big on me.
We close on our house in FIVE DAYS! (Same day as momof3's surgery). Thanks for waiting it out with me ladies! I'm so EXCITED I COULD BUST!!! We are painting two rooms, scrubbing it down, and moving in on the 23rd. Did I mention how FREAKIN' EXCITED I AM!?!?
So where is everybody anyway?! Love you all - miss you all! xoxo0 -
Karen: and a very good impersonation.
Juneau: we are excited with you - there is nothing nicer than having your very own place - I love it. My little piece of this world.
Well almost time to go home - yippee !
Not sure how many trick or treaters well get.
We may pop out for wings and beer (can you tell I am also very serious about my diet - ha ha !!)
In pockets where needed - sending hugs to all xxxx

Karen...pretty good!!!!!!!!
Juneau...glad all is going well for you....0 -
juneaubugg - I am so excited for you getting the house. If it is anything like our new house it will be lots of work getting it to what you want, but it is also great to see it after it is done. Everytime you are in it you can admire it and say we did this ourselves!!! I am still marveling at the pictures of our new place and can't wait until we are down there again for Thanksgiving. It will be more work, but it will be so worth it in the end.
I only wish that things were worked out with my family (none of them are talking with me and haven't for almost 3 months now) so that they could be enjoying it with us. At least I have my DH, 3 kids and our dog to enjoy it with!
I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween. My girls and I went out trick or treating with another family in town and it was really fun. It had been 2 years since we have been able to go trick or treating due to snow 2 years ago and hurricane Sandy last year. It was really fun watching my DDs having fun and seeing them interact with their friends along the way.
I also wanted to tell you about my Happy for today. I got home from a long day at work and my DH was finishing up cooking dinner. He also brought me over to the mail and there was a letter from the school. I instantly thought, what had one of my DD done now? I read the letter and it was a beautiful hand written note from the 6th grade teachers telling us what a lovely and good student my youngest DD was. It brought me to tears. I can't wait to tell the teachers how much that note meant to me! My older two children have learning disabilities and have really struggled in school their whole lives and we always seem to get notes home about bad things. These are also the same teachers that my other kids had and it really made my day.
Thanks for letting me brag about my DD.
Hugs to everyone!!!0 -
Momof3 - you have every right to brag and be proud of DD. What a day brightener, thank you for sharing.0 -
Thanks for all the support !
PET scan is finally scheduled for today@12:30. It's gonna be a long weekend.
0 -
Momof3 - that is a beautiful happy to share with us.
kslansky: Jumping in your pockets - hugs xxx
Happy Friday everyone - love and hugs xxxx0 -
Kslansky - in your pockets! Hopefully someone will be there to give you results. Waiting isn't fun but you will have to keep busy. The merchants suggest shopping. They aren't wasting any time this year.
Karen - loved your photo, very sexy.
I wondered if Halloween was celebrated in Canada. Thanks Tazzy for mentioning it. Now I know.
Juneau - best costumes and themes at your party. Why don't they just give you a big raise and make you the boss, seems like a great idea to me.
Momof3 - wonderful happy story, thanks for sharing. Families are tough. Hope your issues get resolved. We've had other 2nd homes and thought we'd have lots of company but it was 98% just us. We all make our own happy. Their loss.0 -
Believe, yes they do celebrate Halloween in Canada - next biggest day beside Christmas !? We didn't celebrate in England. We used to celebrate Guy Fawkes Day on November 5. For those of you who aren't aware - quick history lesson from England:
Guy Fawkes Night originates from the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 (November 5), a failed conspiracy by a group of provincial English Catholics, of which Guy Fawkes was head, to assassinate the Protestant King James I of England and replace him with a Catholic head of state. All conspirators were later executed.
As kids, we would make effigies of “Guy Fawkes” and stand on street corners with our ‘guys’ asking “penny for the guy”…. And with those pennies we would buy fireworks. Someone down our street would have a bonfire in their back yard and let off the fireworks us kids had bought.

Tazzy - interesting Guy Fawkes likeness was adopted by the Occupy Wall Street Group here in the States. I wonder if they knew his history. I didn't he had his own day in England.
Waiting for good news from Kslansky and making bookmarks today. I have glue everywhere-amazing that I can move my fingers!
Leaving Sunday for 8 days with my grandson (9), my step son, his girlfriend and my DH in Hawaii. My nose is a little out of joint. The kids wouldn't let me tell my grandson about the trip, not sure why I listened to them. Guess I will have to get over it.
Have a great week end!

believe - enjoy your trip!!!!!! I want to get to Hawaii some day, but it is so far away from CT. I can dream.
Hugs to everyone!!!!!0 -
Believe: have a wonderful trip - we have been looking at a week in Hawaii early next year. Where about's you going - you'll have to tell me all about it. I wonder if they knew the history ?
Hugs and happy weekends xxxxxxxxxxx

Tazzy - we are going to the big island, staying in Kona. This is my DH's favorite place! It's an easy trip from the West Coast. It used to be the only place we ever went but I've been working on expanding his horizons. Now we have a place in the desert. Guess I was persuasive.
Momof3 - you have St. Thomas (with jewelry stores) near you! Love the Carribean but it's a very long trip for us.
It's best to be happiest where ever we are.0 -
Thanks to all of you who were in my pockets today! Hope you weren't too startled when the fire alarm went off while I was napping and letting my body metabolize all of the radioactive crap they shot into me.
Thank goodness it was just a fire drill.
I won't know results until Monday.
I have a "routine" mammogram scheduled for Monday morning. I tried to get out of it but apparently a PET scan does not supersede a mammogram.
BTW...did I mention that I was diagnosed last year on November 5th? Happy freekin cancerversary to me.
