I can get one of my girlfriends to drive me,,,, so I could do it,, not sober! Probably still need a bullet to bite on, though.0 -
Oh my giddy aunt! I have been trying to get to the shower, but you keep posting! I will still be in my dressing gown, with bad hair, when Barry comes.....again
That's an attractive picture Bobo, yanking myself bald...not!
Glennie, take what Bobo says and what I say and go to the middle, we will never agree on this. M x

I am sure M is NOT advocating sobriety. She is just telling you what she has done. And she is telling you how pain-free it is in order to be soothing to you. But please reference my earlier posts about M and her lack of nerve endings.
M, I swear you should not worry about Barry! He will still be in love with you, and bring you jalapeno jam and fig jellies, even if you arrive at the door wild-haired one morning. In fact, seeing you en deshabille may push him over the edge. Perhaps he will bring you a bouquet of cumquats or something.
M is really the nicer of the two of us. But think hard about whose advice you'd want to take in your situation. I would take the advice of the darker and slightly ruined person myself. M is her own beautiful island. I just thought of yanking things bald, M, because I went to waxing appt today. Whoops! My contest. I'm doing the Allure contest every hour.

If Sharon drives me,, there will be Jim Beam. That much I know.

my DCIS was grade 3 without necrosis. Solid and Cribiform types. But it had a max dimension of 1 cm. So that's pretty small. Smaller than my Paget's was.0 -
did you get your shower yet, M? **evil laugh**
I really should get back to work though.

Sorry Glennie, glad you are getting them biopsied, I had them on my right breast a few years ago, had the biopsy and they put a little metal clip in the area so when next mammo came they would look closely, I always thought that would be the boob that gave me more trouble but nope.. the left one had calicifaction but they were in a straight line, when they told me that I pretty well knew what was next. That is a suspisious sign I guess. I had a stero-tactic biopsy, they just numbed it a little, didnt hurt but had to be careful for awhile so no bleeding would occur.. good luck!

I felt the first stick of lidocaine and that was all. She said she out more in, I never felt a thing.
M and Bobo are polar opposites in more ways than one!!!! LOL

Ha thank you! Spookiesmom! ndgirl, another 2 who had no pain!!!!
Yes, I got my shower and then dashed into town to meet my friend for lunch. Barry didn't come today!
Waxing, now Bobo, I hate being waxed, that hurts! I used to do my own, but as I have gotten older I have to do it less. I do shave my legs, though and now I shave my underarms, very carefully, since the SNB.
Bobo makes it sound like I am such a prude, I don't have any issue with anyone having meds or copious amounts of alcohol before a test, I grew up in the 70's, it's true what they say, If you remember the 70's you weren't really there! LOL If only I could remember.......
My friend is almost finished chemo and will be going to Sydney soon, for her Rads, she amazes me at how she powers through all this, on her own. She had just moved here too, like me, but she has far more to go through than I have. She had a Lx, but she's triple neg. She thinks my having a Mx was a big deal! She's such a hoot, I love hanging out with her. We just laugh and laugh, she tells me about the dumb stuff people have said to her, I can't believe the stupidity of some people. I'll miss her when she's gone for 6 weeks.
Glennie, I hope you get the ride, so you can have whatever you choose, to get through it! Hugs M x

Glennie. All these girls are making me laugh ! I have had that biopsy and it is not bad at all. I wouldn't wait cuz decision turns into IDC then you got more probs. I had IDC and did the biopsy . I too hope it didn't seed. :-(. They couldn't check the vasculature due to bruising from the biopsy so I am missing important info about that! I would not wait on this. Cancer sucks and it's gotta go.
I live near auburn alabama which is near the middle of the state. I wish we all could have supper together!! Maybe when they get the chat rooms up we can set a time to meet there for a live chat. That would be fun too!
Paying bills
today! Have a good day and see you later.

I was telling my LE therapist every that had happened since my last visit. I told her my 2 local friends who don't have BC were saying " do you really need the biopsy cuz you've had those calcifications on previous mammo's?" And all my BC friends (y'all!) are like get the biopsy now! She commented on the difference in the response. Continuing to work on my compression stuff with her. Finally I got one compression bra that works with the Swell Spot. Now to try a Jovi for night time!

O2: Auburn? I live in Gator Town! SEC rivals. Wheee! Yes, it would be cool to be able to chat live!

Ahem!!!!
GO DAWGS!!!!
0 -
WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!! Lol. Football season is almost here!!!! Spookie. You must be from Georgia originally.
I didn't even know they made compression bras. Is that what that blob is under my arm in the back????
0 -
Not really. DD did grad school at UGA. Love the town, could move there tonight!
0 -
Morning! I have no idea about your football, so won't be getting into that one!
02, I am willing to bet the blob you have under your arm at the back is the same thing I had, a "Dog Ear". It is a bit of flesh that is left after the surgery that used to be pulled forward by the weight of the breast. I had mine removed earlier this year, because it drove me crazy. It used to work its' way up and over the side of my bra and it had a very zinging sensation of cut nerves in it. Removing it was the best thing I ever did. If you can stand looking at some yuck pictures the progression from the Mx through to the removal, and the healed result of the Dig Ear is on breastfree.org in the pictures section.
Glennie, I am glad you're finding the things you need for the LE. I am not surprised you are getting different reactions from friends and us, about the Biopsy. If your calcifications aren't showing any patterns or linear presentations, then they are probably not anything to worry about, we are over cautious because we've all "Felt the Fear!" something that others, who haven't been through that wringer, don't really "get". You just go with your gut feeling, you'll know what is right for you.
Today is Thursday Opp Shop day where I catch up with another group of great ladies, oh, and I get first dibs on new stuff in the shop! I am still on the hunt for a table, I have been to all the furniture stores in town and can't find anything, so it is Opp Shop time.
Chat later...M x

Hey M, how is your opp shop friend?
Football people -- spookie, O2 --: you guys all suck. Go colonial pacers! Or whatever the name of the mascot was where I went to school. I honestly don't even know. Poor delicate egghead football team. There were many injuries.

bobo, it's hard living in a football town when you hate the game. Do you hide every home game weekend? I used to wait for the game to start and then hit the stores. Home Depot is empty during a Gator Game.
O2: yes they make compression bras and they are not pretty lingerie, I'll tell ya. Downright depressing to be stuck in these things but it holds the swell spots and keep the LE under control. So you do what you gotta do,,,,
M: good luck at the Opp Shop.

And here's my Princess. She loves a car ride.

Hey Bobo! My friend has not been well, she had 2 blood transfusions recently and has been in Hospital, I don't know if she will be at the Oppie today. She also had the added sadness of having to have her old dog put to sleep, so I can imagine how low she must be feeling. I am hoping to see her today. I have picked her a big bag of lemons and grapefruit and some flowers from the garden. I hope she's there, I have missed her.
I took off the dressing today, just a tiny incision mark and no bruising on the outside....Yay!
Hugs to you! M x

Oooh Glennie, gorgeous picture! She looks like a happy girl!
Another one of us with a silver car! We discussed this some time ago, many of us have opted for silver! M x

OH, interesting about the silver cars!! So we have the BC club,, and the silver car club,, LOL! And yes,,, she is a very happy dog. She loves treats and car rides and visiting with people. She is a very laid back dog.
M: your poor friend. Sounds like she is having a tough time. Hope she is feeling well enough to join you.
and I have an Aussie friend who is living and working in San Francisco for 2 years. She has been leasing her apt but the tenant just broke the lease. You know anyone looking for a place in Melbourne? Apparently it's near the beach.

One day I hope to get there to visit. After she moves back,,,,

How amazing Glennie, I know that area so well. I lived there for a while when Bec was small. I have always gravitated to the water, so most of my houses have been close to the sea, or now, the Lakes and the sea!
All I can say Glennie, is "Come on Down to Aus", if you ever get the chance! you'd have a ball, I could meet you in Melbourne, or you could come for a little holiday here! You're always welcome!
Sorry I don't know of anyone looking for an apartment, but that's a very popular area, I doubt your friend will have too much trouble, re-letting. M x

I do truly want to visit, but I think it will be a few years away!! it's funny,, she is another Aussie friend, whose name starts with M also! Small world!

Hey!!! I have a silver car!! Actually, my last car was silver too. We need to create our own damn study to see if silver cars cause BC. Maybe we can get GM to fund it and we'll pocket half the money and charter a plane over to Australia to meet up with M. Then we'll call Ellen DeGeneres and tell her about our study and how we need to get rid of our silver cars. We'll let her film us while we're in Australia...and then once we get home she can surprise us by having shiny new red cars waiting for us at the airport!
As far as football goes, I work at MSU (big ten school). Things get pretty crazy on game day. Oh, and the entire week before the big game with our inner-state rival, U of M, students actually sleep outside at the Sparty statue to protect it from those evil Wolverines who like to throw paint on it. Depending on the date, those overnight camp outs can be really cold.
Last year they had a pre-season game on a Friday night. The powers to be let everyone leave early because of the madness of parking and trying to get off campus. Our favorite saying about working there is "Nice place to work if it wasn't for all the students!".

Well, I guess I'm just the exception to the rule. I had BC and my car is purple. Although if Ellen wants to give me a red one I would take it. Mine is starting to give off signs of planning to quit in the foreseeable future. I don't think I'll be able to get another because our house has decided to eat up our entire retirement savings.

my SUV is red, no silver here but bc still found me.
Hope everyone is ok, wonder where GB is? Must be very busy being outside after the long winter!

I've had red cars since 92, until last year I got a bright green car. DH had a silver truck for years, currently has a silver car. Does that mean he will get bc?

I have a silver car! A very beat-up silver. M, I am so sorry about your friend and the puppy. Poor poor thing.
So glad to hear you are healing nicely! Glennie, no. I do not hide or go to stores. Instead I make a party at my house for the kids. They are crazy for the game. I make a themed-snack table, different every time. And we cheer and cheer. The kids do actual staged cheers at halftime as a contest, for prizes, and so does DLLP. Or we have karaoke at half time.
We need our team to win. If not, everyone in the town is sad for the week. Ava is the cutest!

Smooches to Ava!
Blue car here!
Yep, best time to go shopping is when the Colts are playing, stores are empty.
M hope you find some good buys today. Still waiting on the boutique to call me to come back in to try things on.
Gotta run….xoxo
