Sending prayers for you to make it thru this tough time and lots of love and hugs. So, talk like a pirate day, didnt we just do that not so long ago? Or could it already have been a year??? I had never heard of it before, but sounds like fun....

Back from appt!!  MO is on board with the surgery decision. He says to wait 3 weeks afterwards and retest estrogen level again.  He thinks it will plummet. Doesn't seem worried about it since I'm getting the HX.  He was also in agreement about seeing the other radiologist and getting a repeat mammogram.  Wants me to schedule that 6 weeks after my HX. Otherwise,, he thinks I'm great,,, and assuming this new mammo is OK,, I might have not to go back for a year.  **shocked**  Still processing that.

ANNOUNCEMENT:   HAD LUNCH WITH BOBO TODAY.  Yes, that's right. We had sushi. It was yummy.  My waiter Dino was there too and he took good care of us. Bobo thought it was cool that I have "my" waiter.

Fia;  i hate cleaning too. You just have to keep doing it, over and over again.  sucks.

That's how I feel about cooking. You slave and slave and it's gone in 30 min leaving a pile of dirty stuff.

For those who eat meat, I've discovered dinners by a brand called LUVO. They're a bit pricey but go on sale. And they're like going out to a restaurant. Yesterday we had spicy chicken with polenta and beans.

Good job Birdie discovering that dinner find!  Lunch with Glennie was so fun!  I was in 'her territory.'  Her waiter was like the best waiter I have ever had.  What a sweet little guy.

Z, so sorry you are having stress.  It is just not right.  I too am hoping and praying for a turnaround, or for whatever you want to come true.  You are our pirate captain.  Zut!  That year went by fast.  Avast!

M and Z, Glennie has heard this, but called two nurses: nurse at GYN office of all the GYNs, and head nurse at my PCPs.  PCP nurse relayed message to PCP, who said she could not help me, go back to the specialist.  GYN nurse said it's my fault it hurts, because I am tense, and it will be over quickly, and all GYNs in this practice do it the same way.  She also said she's had several, including one at the surgical center.

recon?? Heck no!  Flat is FAB.   (nothing against those who do,, but it's not for me) I want this damn excess skin removed!!!  Hopefully next year.  Cannot handle too much surgery in one year.  HX will last me for the year.

As far as ovaries,,,, if cancer is estrogen positive,,, they may want to take out ovaries due to the estrogen issue,,, One reason,, in addition to the fibroids,, that mine are going. But you are on Arimidex,,, so,, not sure why you would need to, have to check with MO.  My estrogen level is over 500,, my body thinks it's pregnant,,, they gotta go, but MO concurred with GYN,, the fibroids are probably cranking it up.  11 more days!

Report on MO visit:   a couple of posts above.

Avast me hearties,, must get back to work.. Will visit later!!

    Ahoy... land lubbers!!!!

Oh for Fucks sake! I just want to pull those bitches into line, and pull their hair for good measure! How dare they say it's your own fault, that it hurts. I'll give them "hurts" because you're tense, Oh reeeeeaaaly, and that would be, why? because they are up your whatsit with an ice pick!!!!! Noooo you shouldn't be tense Bobo, how silly of you! You need to just relax into that one, the audacity of these plebs! These people are quite mad. I wish I could go with you. I could stand with the Doctor and hold, a shall we say a sensitive part of his/her anatomy and if he/she hurts you, I'll hurt him! or her whichever! Tense, I wonder if they'd be tense? What do you think? I am up for it!

Hey 02, don't you just love these experts telling you what you must do! Some certainly do have ovary removal, but I think you'd have heard it from your Doctor, if it was something you needed to consider. Good luck with the GP surgery. My Daughter had hers out of years ago and hasn't looked back. Super easy, quick surgery too!

Flat? yessiree, I am half flat and wouldn't have recon if they paid me to do it! I haven't any issue with others having it, but so not right, for moi!

Glennie, all that sounds good, you're on the right track and it will all be behind you soon.

Another lunch with Bobo! I am getting very jealous!! sniff....... I hope you had fun!

Wren, I don't know the brand you speak of, but Dawny will know the one we have here which is LiteNEasy and another fave is Lean Cuisine. I always have a stash of meals in the freezer for us, new fave is the Chicken Laksa Soup with rice noodles, great lunch soup! Colin and I have very different tastes for food. I love fresh salads and veg etc him not so much, so these meals are perfect. I don't love to have to make 2 completely different meals if I can help it.

Fia, that's funny! I am with you on the cleaning, it is a thankless task!

    Hi ndgirl! and Zills, thinking of you...hope I haven't forgotten anyone....M x

Rock that V Fia!  You are fab.  Your DH makes me laugh.  'Where's the soup?'  I've got your soup RIGHT HERE!

M, you are making me laugh.  No, there is no reason to be tense.  I am sticking my Australian fanny into the face of a heterosexual sadist.  Why does she want to have a faceful of AUS fannies anyway.  I would not even want that job.

Talked to DLLP about skipping the biopsy.  She is still in favor of overmedicating Glennie-style.  But, as G says, if the GYN thinks I am stoned she will not do the procedure, and then I will have wasted all that dread for nothing.  Plus I will have shot the day, since I will be too stoned to go to work!  I swear I feel like smashing someone.  Let's take a vote.  Skip the biopsy?

I was wondering about Vivtwins too, and I miss idesim.  nd, your skin is NOT like alligator!  Do not talk about yourself that way!  **I am making the resting bitch face**

I reply to myself.  Avast!  I see our M has gone on another Amoena spree.  I am experiencing deja vu.  Haven't you shopped for Amoena before M?  It is just our one-year anniversary of pirate talking, and now it seems we have another anniversary.  Happy one-month anniversary since you have just bought some Amoena items, M!  :)

p.s.  If you hired yourself out to stand next to Dicktors and grab their kishkes while they did procedures, you would be filthy rich.

OK Fia, don't Bogart the sorbet, pass it over to me!

nd, I don't think I would be voting for it, if I were still in Scotland, but I am sure I would, if it were Australia opting out. There are lots of people here who would like us to be a Republic.

Fia you just crack me up so much. You didn't need to fork out that much cash to make sorbet, you can do that in a blender! Make the man some soup! Put the Kale in the Sorbet, you'll never notice it is there, that's how I get stuff into Colin, remember, health by stealth!

I know Bobo, who would want the job? I had lunch once with a group of women from a magazine and a reporter from 60 Minutes over here. She was married to a Gyn at the time, not any longer though. She told us about how her Husband would go off to work every day in his Armani suit and crisp white shirt, looking pretty special, but every evening he would come home with the right sleeve pushed uptight above his elbow, she told us how she couldn't look at him when he arrived home, because that sleeve reminded her of where he'd been all day! lol

Have I shopped for Amoena before? it wouldn't even be a month Bobo, there has been a sale at Metromedical and I have been back multiple times, even getting stuff for other members here and having it sent out with mine. I love Amoena, I have slowed down on the Marika though when I discovered just how much I had actually bought!

What's up with this sadist, why can't you go in a bit over medicated? I vote for sound asleep and we will all trolley you in and stand around you, while I threaten her with a grasp tighter than any Mammo machine she's ever encountered.

I am sorry Bobo, I don't know what you can do. Can't an ultrasound check this out?

Weather has turned to crap again, so no outside stuff today. Next week supposed to be fantastic! M x

I think the ovaries out is recommended for BRCA1 people who have a really high risk of ovarian cancer.

Bobo, Could you pee in her face and blame it on being tense? If she think's it's due to being tense, where is the f-ing atavin? Or xanax? It's so short acting you could take it and not even feel it afterwards. Why do they keep repeating this test?

Chilly here today. Supposed to warm up over the weekend.

Looking over my winter wardrobe. I only have an excuse to buy 2 things, both T shirts. I keep wanting nice things for a life I no longer have I guess. I could wear jeans to the senior center and we never go to nice restaurants anymore, so I don't need any dress up clothes unless someone dies.

Dawny, LUVO is carried in supermarkets but in the "natural foods" section. We have Lean Cuisine and one called Healthy Choice, but LUVO is a higher class of frozen dinner. I rarely buy Healthy Choice because they have a nasty little dessert which gets into the main course 99% of the time.

Well I just read a study that clearly stated a block or lidocaine reduced pain significantly compared to the control group with no pain management.  Where is this nut case getting her info that it's your fault if there's pain?  Here's what I'd tell her.. if you cause me any pain, how about I just slam my naked foot into your face .. if it hurts, its your fault because you didn't get out of the way!   You just need to go somewhere else Bobo, even if you have to pay for it yourself.   Totally insane that all the doctors you've contacted won't help you.  I might consider calling a gyn/onc office and see if they have some contacts.

As for a vote.. well we don't know why you flunked your ultrasound.  If it's just a thickened lining, then another u/s might be in order to see if it thins out on it's own.  If it's something else...then yeah.. probably need to do the biopsy.. but no reason to do it without anything.   While I still think you should be able to find another gyn... I also think you can probably handle your drugs well enough to not attract attention.  Have your partner go with you and she can do most of the talking.

There's our rock star M... casually mentioning knowing people at 60 minutes!   I think we'll find out one day that M was the queen of a small country and decided to retire to her pear/lemon/fig paradise.  Loved the story of the guy with the rolled up sleeve... just ewwww. (almost as bad as someone puking 2 feet from me into a waste basket!)

Damn Fia, you are so funny.  I was all geared up for some Vitamix infomercial, but here you are drinking Tequila!  That is some wicked stuff.   My favorite mixed drink is Southern Comfort and cranberry juice with lime.  I remember years ago .. I ordered it and the waitress, who was 'older'.. said to me.. "it will get you there fast and it will get you there smooth!".

The whole gang of us need to be there for the biopsy. I'll bring the hammer, M will wear her power suit and flaunt her power grasp stronger than a mammo machine. Everyone will have an instrument of torture for the dicktor. If the bitch doctor doesn't give Bobo GOOD DRUGS,, we will attack.  We will show her what pain is.  Why does she not get it,, that Bobo had this exact test before and caused her HUGE pain??  **yes I'll bang my thumb with hammer. It hurt last time, but maybe it won't this time**     IV Versed or Valium,,, that would do it.

The peeing in her face is funny idea.

PRB:  in college I used to drink Southern Comfort and Tab at the football games. One of us girls would sneak the booze in our purse. (they didn't search you back then) and the only beverage available were Coke and Tab.  The sweetness of the SC was nicely offset by the bitterness of the Tab.  (course the Tab probably gave me cancer)

Night 1 of 6 over.   5 more to go. Then I actually have 5 days OFF before surgery. Plenty of time to clean house then. No need to rush. Countdown continues.  tick tick tick,,,,

Dawny, we need to send emails to LUVO to get it over here, I would be in heaven and never cook again. I cruised their website and their food looks great.

Wrenn, I don't know about the dessert getting into the dinner with your Healthy Choice, I can't remember ever trying that one, but ours don't have any dessert. Must be a different variety.

Haha Fia, I had 3 distinct careers over my lifetime. I worked in Television and Radio for many years as well as cosmetics for a very long time and then my final 11 years, before retiring, was with United Airlines. My first Husband worked in TV and Theater, he has a brother who's a well known Muso and Actor, over here, they were both in Jesus Christ Superstar. My second husband was a Radio Announcer and TV interviewer, so lots of my friends are still working in TV, ( behind the scenes)  or are journalists. It's a much smaller business over here. than where you are.

I love your idea of a foot to the face, and Wrenn's peeing in her face is hysterical.

Bobo  am glad you remembered it was your Aussie fanny! lol

Clapping my hands with glee at Glennie's evil plan, for goodness sake, its only drugs, what is the big deal? I love the hammer and thumb example, that's so true. It isn't like Bobo hasn't had this shitful test before. We know it hurts, why don't they?

I used to b a Southern Comfort girl, or neat Scotch, neither with any mixers, my Father wouldn't allow Scotch  to be mixed with anything, he wasn't even really into ice in it. He was a very Scottish Scot when it came to having a wee dram!

Glennie the countdown has really begun, don't be overdoing the house cleaning. How are the sniffles?

oh oh, another sale, think you did say something about buying from the same seller as we bought before, I better take a look... Or not!  Thanks Ariom, and really? A reporter from 60 minutes, wow you are a rock star! Cute story about gyn.

Wren , you have the solution, pee in her face, but of course it can't contain green tea?

Bobo, My skin is horribly dry no matter how much cream I use, it is the meds and now soon the dry winter air and furnace will be running...you wouldn't believe how bad my heels are,,gross! I smear more coconut oil on myself than anyone could imagine!  Good luck, a tough decision ahead, agree with PRB , keep looking for some other gyn.

Agree M:  It's only drugs,,, and they are short-lasting.. What is evil GYN worried about?  Bobo has a driver, DLLP,, it's not like she is taking to the road "stoned". So where is the problem???  I simply think she is a sadist.

Speaking of Scotch,, my name, glennie, comes from Glenlivet.  I used to be on another forum, and Glenlivet19 was my screen name.  Everyone called me glennie,,, so I have stuck with it! I like maybe one ice cube in it. But I'm not much of a drinker anymore.

No worries on overdoing the house cleaning. I really hate house cleaning!  But I'll get the bathroom cleaned up and vaccum the floors. So far, the sniffles seems better,, but I just got up!!  The day is looking gray and gloomy here **sigh** better walk Ava before it actually rains.

Birdie, you are right there with the great advice!  I am going to practice shooting my pee stream in a particular direction. That is a real skill.  Once I have mastered it I could join a traveling circus.

I think you should rethink only being allowed to add two things to your wardrobe.  You may not go to fancy dinners, but why not start building a really comfortable casual yoga type wardrobe?  Get a couple of EF hemp skirts (I could sleep in mine), or EF organic cotton tanks, or EF yoga pants?  You are in Seattle, so you could go to REI and see if any of that stuff is super-comfy for you (and hit sales).  I think you should have a swell wardrobe of super-comfy all purpose get around town wear, and if you have to bend down to save a kitty, or go to meditation, or take a brisk walk, you will not need to change clothes.  Or even if you and DH (if he puts down his bongo) go for dinner, you could still wear your swell outfit from that day.  Or what about these crazy Marika and Amoena b1tches that live with us?  They could set you straight in about five minutes.  As M has said, she will do the shop for you and have it sent to your house.  M, if you were not so busy, I think you could have a fourth career as a famous 'Personal Shopper' for a big dept store in AUS.  They have them here, they are famous, there is a famous one here named Betty Something-or-other, she is friends with all the stars.  ***waving with bingos*** Hi Betty!

Actually you all have good ideas, with your hammers and such.  Yes, I flunked u/s, my layer is 7 and it must be 4 or else you face evisceration.  Sorry to keep talking about it.  But I have been actively trying so hard to advocate for myself, rather than just walking the plank, and there has been no resolution.  DLLP wants overmedicate rather than skip it.  If the biopsy comes out negative, and I do not have GYN ca, I am going to be furious.

Another punishing day!  The only thing I can do to make it easier is skip yoga.  (?)  As a matter of fact, I am supposed to leave in 22 minutes and I am not dressed.  Bills have been paid, however.  Zut!  Must start trying to make myself look better.

    Oh, M, forgot to m

I reply to myself.  ND, have you tried Caudalie?  That's what I did when I hit menopause.  **layering serums and moisturizers**
