I had to do the bowel prep for my hyster too. He was especially strict with me because he thought I had ovarian ca and was planning to resection the bowel wherever he spotted a met. Fortunately, that was not what I had. My ovary was twisted and going gangrene so I'm glad he went ahead and did it when he did. All I could think of was that my mother died of peritonitis. So I have both the vertical and bikini scar. Very relieved it was not ovca.

Forgot to give you the feline update. Every time Goldie sees Squeakers she hisses and growls. He just looks at her and squeaks. I think he would like to be friends. I have to laugh when she hisses because it's clear she doesn't have teeth. I don't know what she thinks she could do to him. There will be some clashes because they like the same places in the house. So far I think it's going OK.

Wren that was both fortunate and a relief for you. You have the anchor scar that a friend of mine has. I got 2 Happy Smiles, one above the other, one for my caesarian and the other to remove fallopian tubes after an ectopic pregnancy which was about 7 years after, I had my tubes tied..go figure!
Your Mother died from peritonitis, what a terrible tragedy that was for you and your family.
I had a burst appendix when I was 18, the antibiotics saved me, but boy was I sick.

I love the kitty updates! Hissing without teeth, that's funny, but I bet she could do some claw damage!
I have never had cats, too many cat allergies in the family, can they live together and not interact at all? I have always had dogs who got along, indifferent at times, but ok together.

We had 2 who basically avoided each other. They could walk past without any interaction, but hung out in different places in the house. I'm kind of worried that I'm developing an allergy to cats. After I pet them my arms itch up to my elbows and I have to go wash them. And my asthma is bad this year, but I think that's something outside.

Allergies suck! My animal allergies have gotten worse ever since I had a big exposure at friend's horse farm. All kinds of critters and it was over load for my system. Now I can't walk into Petsmart on adoption day w/o issues. Damn it.I get a little itchy from Ava,, if i lay my arm across her back,, it starts to itch and sometimes there are little welts. But they go away. Taking my Claritin more often too. Cannot give up the dogs. Cats usually make me sneeze uncontrollably.

I'm supposed to have 5 little lap scars. Wondering how much the belly will shrink. She says uterus is the size of a 14 week pregnancy but the weight of a 5 month pregnancy cuz fibroids are heavier than a fetus. So maybe I could instantly lose a few pounds??? something to wonder,, besides when will the hot flashes start,,,,it was a shitful night at work,, and I'm going to bed! See you all in the AM!!

I hope it is something outside Wren!
My poor Bec was so bad that I would have to ask if there was a cat inside if we went to visit people. She would wheeze and sneeze and she would get this awful eye swelling where the white of her eye would fill with fluid making it impossible to close the lid over it. It wasn't really dangerous, but looked so gross and a couple of eye drops would fix it. It was the asthma that was the scary reaction. She spent a lot of time in Hospital as a small child, blown up with steroids, just as DP has discovered recently. She has become less sensitive in later years, but still couldn't own a cat. M x

Hello all, I have never heard of giving up green tea either, think flax is supposed to have some blood thinning properties but I was never told to stop that either, only aspirin. The countdown in on Glennie,, hoping all goes well and sure it will.. Wren, whew so glad no ov. cancer.
Ariom, so jealous of a lemon tree, would love that and also avacado.

ND, I worked with someone from Hawaii who said when they got hungry they went outside and picked something to eat. Avocado, mango, papaya, etc. I would love to have a papaya tree.

Sounds lovely to go outside and just pick something to eat.
Wren,, YAY on no ovarian CA.
Totally exhausted after last night's work so I goofed off all morning. Got nothing done on my list. Oh well. Still got 12 days to get it done.

OMG, Birdie. That is just terrible. So glad no ovarianca, but twisted ovary sounds awful. So sorry about your mother. Bet she was nice because you turned out so well.
Greased hamsters = disgusting (Andrea! )
Bowel prep = disgusting (how about just don't nick anything you Assholes?)
I just loved the story of Squeakers and Goldie. I did not know he actually squeaks? Is it like a little 'meep'? I have a kitty, Edward, who makes squirrel noises. He does not say 'meow.'
No flax! That is right! And I told you about the ginger. I think it may be true of excessive garlic as well. And herbal teas! **very pissed**

Hi all!
Glennie, I have been reading JS's posts on caring bridge, chemo is giving her a rough time. I hope she will be back soon. M x

OH,, damn it... Can you PM me her Caring Bridge site? I'd like to drop her a line.0 -
I was wondering about JLS too... and fiaranch and otceb and ideism and the gramm's.. I wonder if they are like me.. when I stop posting here for a bit, and then want to reply, I feel like I'm interrupting the thread.
I saw the good news on the other thread for Andrea and Dawny. Hoping good news comes in 3's cause today is my 1 year anniversary and tomorrow I have my mammo on left and ultrasound on mx side. Been having some burning under my arm on mx side similar to when I was diagnosed, so I'm worried. I also have a small red pimple of sorts that BS said she thought was an infected hair. So.. maybe it's all related. Hope so anyways. Nice thing is my BS will be at the breast center tomorrow, so I will get my results from her when it's all done. Trying to remain calm because....it is what it is, right?
Daughter has first real volleyball game tomorrow and it's 40 minutes away. Thinking I should go even if I get bad news. Cancer shouldn't be allowed to steal all my joy.
edited... I thought my dx was the 16th.. but I see by my 'signature' that it's the 18th. Guess that was when the biopsy was done because I clearly remember the mammo was Monday the 16th...after I refused a Friday the 13th appointment!

PRB, sending you postivie thoughts and a HUGE hug for tomorrow. Appts always make me anxious no matter how brave I talk, think we will always be scared of more bad news. someone on these boards said that beating early cancer is kinda like beating the mob... glad you did but always looking over our shoulders! so true! Hoping things turn out good and keep us posted as soon as you can. Yes, go to VB game and enjoy every minute! Damn cancer.

I am in the bag on Thursday Glennie, tell me what to bring!
nd, take it easy or you'll have a relapse!
Just got an appointment for Dex at the Vet. Poor little guy has the worst allergies and they started again yesterday. He has swollen sore eyes and red welts on his belly. He will be on the Steroids again I am sure.

Poor baby Dex,,,,, **dog treats**How about Tim Tams???
0 -
I nearly choked Glennie, when I read this post! I just got home, made a cup of tea and opened a pack of Tim Tams, the chewy caramel ones! Colin loves them and so does Dex, even though he only gets a tiny corner of one, Dex that is, not Colin!

Poor Dex! **pushes Glennie over, she is on her back with arms and legs in the air like a bug, kissing Dex**
Glennie, I am obviously in the bag for Thursday. I am bringing beer as usual. I bring beer in the bag way more than I drink it at home. Usually I am too tired to have one by the time I get home! ND, I see you worked through your sick day! **farm wife**
Thinking of poor jsj. xxx I miss Granwe and Idesim especially.
