it's supposed to be a new version of tamox with less SEs. Yeah right. Kinda scared if the MRI doesn't show anything. D@mn cognitive therapist has had my referral for a week and hasn't called. DH said he hasn't noticed but I don't think he's paid much attention. Probably can't get the mo to pay attention either.

I did major damage to the car twice, I've filed our taxes late, I don't remember words/details/names. I can't multitask. I feel off balance. Math escapes me.

Poor Ava. Is she ashamed afterwards? I guess it's not the same place so no pee pads?

In the bag for the scan, Z.  Shall I bring snacks??

I never catch her in the act.  I just discover it.  May have to get pee pads,, she went almost a week w/o peeing in the house,, so I'm not sure what happened today.  My luck, she will pee next to the pad instead of on it. Cushing's makes her pee a gallon at a time too. At least it looks like a gallon.  It is mostly the same place,, the kitchen tonight was new,, but it's probably because I'm working in the office and she didn't want to pee in front of me.  **there is a doggie door***

Hi all, just checking in to see how you were all doing. Still trudging along here, counting down the weeks. Only 5 more treatments to go. I am so ready to be done. Definitely starting to feel the wear and tear. Sailman says you can see it wearing on me. He is so worried about me all the time. I ended up at the ER last week with heart pounding, and a dizzy headache. They determined after all the tests that it was just the accumulative effects of the chemo.

Please know that even though I don't write much right now that I think of you and pray for each of you every day. Much love,

    Stacey

JSJ. Rooting for you. Hope you'll let someone else do the cooking next week. Be selfish as my therapists love to say.

Looking forward to tomorrow. No appts. Zip, zilch, zero, nada. Just me, my dog, my good news and something illegal and fattening. Boy on two hour delay then it's ME time and eventually housework:)

Hi JSJ! How are you feeling? Hope you are resting resting resting and drinking smoothies and warm teas.

ND and M, I reply regarding your princess and her behavior. She is not a good girl in dance class. She draws focus. She's doing it for the play too. She goofs off when it's her turn, goes for a laugh. She is self-conscious. But, also, she does not like to be told what to do. It has always been thus. I remember taking her to 'mommy and me yoga' when she not even a year old. I was so excited. I thought I was going to have a chance to practice. But, no.

Your princess toddled to the front of the class, her powerful thighs and saddlebags straining at the confines of her salmon-colored flowered yoga pants, and faced the other yoginis, staring at them squarely and drawing focus. She did that several times. The child-centered yoga teacher tried a few tricks to demo her prowess with children, but to no avail. I could not go back. Blah blah blah, insert the many lessons and reinforcements and talks we have tried to deliver here. I do not give our princess strikes for what goes on at school, only what goes on at home, in front of me. Right now she has one strike for this weekend's game. W boy has two.

M, regarding my results from the five surgeries I have had this year (I have learned to use italics), so far so good. My goal has been to make it look like I don't want to crawl near the floor, avoiding mirrors, and whipping around lest the princess see me naked and be traumatized, and I also don't want to watch bobo crawl under the bed, whimpering with fear and concern, when he sees me naked, which he has done. So, none of that is happening, which is good. My concern is that the PS is going to 'go for broke' with this sx, try to pump the area up, and then recommend another final sx to do the details. I just want the 'details' now. And by details, I mean symmetry. There is still a depression on the ruined side. I just want it to be filled in and that's it. It's very nearly just flat. I don't think that anyone would notice boobies. But it is very much not just a big caved in area on the right.

I am getting anxious about this issue I have just described, I do not trust the PS, and he has lied to me many times. I just want him to do what I want, but I am worried he will not do it. I really cannot handle another sx after this one. I almost just want to stop now. I am going to take DLLP with me to pre-op. Anyone have some good quotes for the PS so that he will do what I say?

Yay for Colin #1! He is such a man's man. He is so manly. M, how are your feet feeling? X

Hi everyone! just noticed the big post I did earlier, is not here.

Oh Bobo, I so understand what the Princess is up to, that was me! I'd go for the laugh, every time. I know you can't really encourage it, but I get it.

I am really pleased to see that the results of the surgeries are, so far so good! I totally understand why you don't trust this prick, neither do I, he hasn't got a good track record with you.

I know you are very well mannered and respectful, when you deal with this guy, but he has to understand that although it has gone well so far, you need to make sure that you are both on the same page, for this final procedure. You'll have DLLP there to back you up, with whatever you tell him. I know I have said it before, but he works for you, you have the final say about what you want for your body, not him. You have to eyeball him and say that you want an absolute promise, that this will be done to your requirements, irrespective, if it is what he believes you "should" have. What he wants, is really irrelevant. I don't want you to have any more disappointments, it has been a long hard road for you.

Zills, did you have a lovely day?

I got nothing done today, that I had planned. I haven't stopped, but I truly don't know where the time goes. Well there is always tomorrow!

Waving to everyone, watching Housewives of Beverly Hills, mad women, I love it...M x

There wasn't much of a selection. Picked the chocolate biscotti loaded with nuts. Hard as a rock even after dunking and not much flavor. Finished a book, did some laundry, walked the dog and addressed some Christmas cards! They might actually make it on time this year.

Sasafire is a snow dog. Took her to an empty field and let her rip. She ran, she rolled, she buried her face. Little too chilly to stay out long. 10 degrees with no wind.

Zills, I love how dogs love to romp in the snow! At least someone is enjoying it. We only have a dusting as they say but can you believe the pictures on tv about 50 inches around Buffalo New York! wow that must be a diaster for them, we can get a bunch but that is unusual for sure. Good for you with the Christmas cards, I havent even thought of that yet but am going to put up the tree early because we are going to spend extra time with ds in WI and I enjoy my time at home with the lights, tree, etc.

Bobo, hoping all goes well for your next surgery, Ariom, as usual, has wonderful advice.

Zills, I would love to have seen Sasafire doing that. Dex is a wuss, he won't even get his feet wet when we walk on the beach! I don't think he'd even go out in the snow!

ndgirl, that's a lot of snow! Brr, it is supposed to be 33c today, so we are getting ready for the real hot weather to come.

Waving to everyone, I have to get out and buy something nice for lunch. I am having my friend over who has been in Sydney having her radiation, she's all done and got back yesterday. I am looking forward to seeing her, she's been gone for a couple of months and has been doing all her chemo and then rads on her own, she moved here alone and had o go through all this with just a sister living a fair distance away. We have spoken a couple of times each week, but I am looking forward to hearing how it all went. She's amazing and a lovely lady!

Waving as I run for the shower, it is Opp Shop day too, so might have to do a detour from the supermarket, just in case there iss something I can't live without! Take it easy ladies, be back later...M x

Cant wait to hear the menu! Sasafire has long stringy drool, especially for bread. Grosses the boy out. My mouth is watering just thinking about your lunch.

Tomorrow have thanksgiving lunch with BG. They cook from scratch. Looking forward to it. Then chicken dinner at the parish hall. I should be chickened out. It will be the 3rd day in a row but no cooking or cleaning! Yea!

Details about the score too please.

Hi ladies, just did sourdough rolls with rare roast beef or chicken, avocado, red onion, several kinds of lettuce from my garden, basil and garlic aioli and hazelnut Dukkah. Then watermelon and cherries with coconut yogurt. Easy peasy!

I managed to get down to see my friend at the Opp Shop, she was in Hospital last week and missed her chemo. She's not doing too well and is worried she will have to miss the next one too.

It looks like rain here, but it is so hot and humid. I still haven't finished my clear out, c'est la vie, gosh this living n the country has removed my "I need it yesterday!" attitude. LOL Be back a bit later....M x

M your menu sounds fab. Did you make aioli in Vitamix?

Z, my kids' Thanksgiving feast is going to be a train-wreck pot luck. I have to bring something our princess will eat, plus dessert she can eat. Yikes. Hate all this extra Thanksgiving duty. I cannot overstate it. It is always just a mess and she eats nothing, then crams in dessert, and I watch to make sure she doesn't get anything she's allergic to. Then early dismissal.

Thank you for your kind words about sx, ND. I am trying to get Christmas cards organized. Last year's photo cards were really easy and people liked them. I think I am going to take pictures of the kids at Thanksgiving, then get that going. Lots to do!

I just got back from new Gynecologist. I like her! She thinks it was a yeast infection I had from the damn antibiotics for UTI. Seems to be better now for the most part.

Now I am somewhat remiss to share this next part ...since I risk more teasing, lol.

I have been wondering lately if my lady parts were, well shrinking. Well the doctor confirmed it. She said it is typical with menopause and Tamoxifen is theculprit.

Seriously??? My butt couldn't get smaller? Or my belly?? No, of course not. I wonder how men would feel if their parts shrank with any treatment.

I guess it is not a big deal (no pun Intended). She wouldn't prescribe estrogen cream to help with dryness because my cancer is 99% estrogen responsive. So she recommended Vagisil. But I might look up the coconut oil Zills recommended.

Glennie, sorry you are stressed about the deposition. I hope it is easier than you expect.

Would anyone line to exchange Christmas/holiday cards this year? I would love to if anyone's interested.

Just found out we might get to fly home for Christmas this year. So excited!

Evening everyone! I have been busy, busy today, just sat down and catching up with the posts. Bobo, I need to hear about the dresses when you get a chance. No home made Aioli, I buy one called Zooosh! they make great dressings and Mayo.

I had a Vegetarian Pie for dinner, from the Linda MCartney company, never seen it before, but it was nice.

Andrea, I can relate, why would that happen? Why not the belly or the butt? Shitfully unfair! OMG, what if it happened to men? The world would cease to turn.

Thank you for doing the list!

I can't wait to see Ava dressed up for Christmas!

Waving, as I get ready for an early night, 9.30pm, unheard of in this house, Colin not feeling great and is on another course of antibiotics. Catch you later.....M x

poor Colin. 9:30 is late at my house.

    Shrinking inside? Joy.

UTI and yeast may be your new friends every hanky panky time. I take cranberry to ward off UTI. No advice for yeast except yogurt. Don't want to rain on your fun.

Our local health food store sells suppositories. Or you can make your own from coconut oil. Search the boards for the technique. Good luck!

Oh man, I would like to be on the Christmas card list, but I am bad about sending them! Already feeling the 'holiday' stress. I really don't like Christmas. Am completely clueless what to get my daughter this year. I've done pretty good in the past, but she has so much already. I asked her if she wants clothes... NO! Yes, she has too many clothes too. *sigh* I told her I was going to wrap up all the insurance items (Wii, camera, computer) and say Merry Christmas.

M - Sorry to hear about Colin not feeling well. When is his procedure scheduled? I worked with a man who had kidney stones and you could see the strain on him. He just never looked well throughout the whole time he was being treated. They messed around too long if you ask me... all that sonic / breaking up the stones didn't work for him and he eventually had surgery.

Andrea - what is left to say about your cute, small-sized private area? lol I guess we can turn the tables on Bobo and ask how her landing strip is looking right about now? It's been a few weeks, after all. We need an update!
