    1980? You make me feel old. I was in jr high. Had a crush on Shawn Cassidy in elementary school, then we moved and it was horses, horses, horses.

    Tempted by a groupon for riding lessons. Haven't ridden but a handful of times since college. Rode every day in jr high.

    Must do paperwork so can see acct this week before BG has surgery. Got pedicure on New Year's Day!

    Wasn't too bad getting kids off. Real challenge will be homework and basketball practice. Must nap! Still need to go to the grocery.

    Sister (non skillet one) and mom in town briefly this am. Met at McDs.

    1980?  I was in college.  Childhood crushes included David Cassidy! LOL!  Davy Jones from the Monkees was really cute too.

    Yay for Pedicure!  When is BG's surgery?   Get a big bag for all of us.

    Ariom, This one is for you. New take on bagpipes.

    You guys just buy, buy, buy. I'm wishing I had my own credit card so I could buy art supplies without DH finding out how expensive they are. He reads the credit card bill, unfortunately. I don't know why I care, considering his enormous collection of CD's. I think it's because my Mom had to be sneaky with money.

    Loving the photos. I'll have to see if I have one. I usually avoid being in the photos because it ruins my mental image of myself as being tall and slender. Having a bone density test on Friday to see what big A is doing to my bones. Just don't want to shrink any more, too short now.

    Wren, I am anxious to hear about your bone scan, I think I will have my 2 year one this coming spring. I also am wondering what this arimidex is doing to my "used to be" good bones. Good luck with that and also to Zills BG, hope surgery is soon and goes well. Zills, bet you would catch right on to the riding with no lessons, I am jealous! love horses!

    That was fantastic Wren, I have never seen her before, or that style. I remember being amazed when I found out bagpipes didn't originate in Scotland. We had a piper 2 doors down from here, on New Years, this year.

    Good luck with the Dexa scans, I have been -2.3 osteoporosis for about 14 years.

    Z, I grew up around horses, race horses, so went to the track to watch early workouts and mucked out stables in the holidays. I made a decision not to ride after Bec was born, for fear I may fall and break and arm and not be able to look after her. When she got older, I just never went back to it. My bones wouldn't take it now, but I love horses too.

    Surgery Monday for BG, I hope that comes off and it is all over for her and you, Z!

    Glennie, I spent a lot of time with David Cassidy, when he came to Australia, on 2 separate occasions. I met him at a reception for him, when he came here to present our Logies (yearly TV awards) , I worked in a band booking agency and always got invitations to these receptions for artists. He came with a small entourage, which included a fabulous photographer, named Henry Diltz, what a lovely guy, he was. He has photographed just about every band ever and is a music photography legend. He has a knack for getting the most natural pics, of famous people like Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix, everyone really and his shots are the covers of something like 100 albums. Some of my favorites are America's Homecoming album, triple cover, Morrison Hotel. We kept in touch and they all came back the following year, when David was touring Australia and we all hung out in Queensland, where I had moved to, during the year. Ahh those were the days!

    Off to get ready for day out...catch you later...M x

    I wasn't a real fan either ldesim, I liked the bad boys, more! Not much into pop music, but the photographer's work was fantastic and his stories were so interesting. Was a fun time. They even used me in the decoy car, when leaving the arenas after the concert, David and I were about the same size and had a similar haircut, thank goodness none of those teenyboppers managed to stop the car. It could have been very ugly! LOL

    I graduated High school in 1981. Wow, DP I could have been your teen mom! Lol.

    I had a crush on David Cassidy too. Along with Bobby Sherman (he is a Highway Patrol now), Donny Osmond, and Batman. Lol.

    M, how tall are you? I thought David was short.

    Zills is your BG having her tonsils out?

    Big scare here. Monday a prospect called about Squeakers and came to see him this evening. After she left, he was very upset and is sulking in the basement. The more I thought about it, the more I didn't think she was the right person, so I called to make sure she knew he might have larger vet bills than average. She said she really liked him, but doesn't think he's the right cat for her. I told her she would know when the right one came along. Talk about relieved! I wish we could afford his eventual vet bills. We would both love to have him if he had insurance. Goldie has been being a shit head to him all day. I'm about ready to lock her downstairs and let him sleep in our bed. She is going to the adoption event on Saturday, so perhaps she'll find her forever home there.

    Andrea I am just over 5'.7" he was about 5'.9", I always wore heels, so I was taller! It was more to do with the similar build and the same hair cut. Just about anyone, who looked similar, thrown into the back of a limo, with tinted windows, speeding out of the car park, could be the decoy!lol

    Wren, I am sorry about the cat dilemma. I know how outrageous vet bills can be. I hope it all works out.

    Squeakers! This story is just so upsetting. Birdie, you are cat advocate. Can you work out a deal with the vet associated with your cat shelter? Squeakers is so obviously wanting to stay with you. {{{{squeakers}}}}

    Not really doing that well lately, I confess. I am exhausted and a little overwhelmed by having to go to work, even though I'm not there today. It's taking a lot out of me to be in front of people. This has been true before sometimes, but I'm back there again. I don't really feel like myself -- three weeks out of sx, body aches, still a little bruised and swollen, and I just don't recognize myself. Like, in the shower. When I'm washing it doesn't feel like me. And if I go to yoga, or just walk around. It's just all been too much. I don't have anything to wear.

    Can't imagine how this sounds, exactly, but thought I would come clean. Have really been holding down the fort here. XXX

    Bobo, Probably aftereffects of sx. Squeakers sends chirps. Hugs. Maybe a good cry in the shower is called for.

    Shocking news for me today. One of the cat volunteers and foster parents died last night in her sleep - at age 43. I have never seen her without a smile on her face and she was wonderful for the kitties.

    Bobo, it is a roller coaster ride. Hugs and positive thoughts directed your way... I think that it took at least 6 months for me to enjoy the shower and I LOVE showers. I cried in the shower about not loving showers anymore... I can now smile about that. It will get better. You will be a stronger you. I finally quit work due to fatigue from trial drug - I wish that I could boost you on that front... I pretty much wear comforting clothes now - no help there. However, I know that you need time to recover. Know that all these women on BCO love your crazy self - that should help! Grieve the you that is lost and then later you can embrace the tough courageous new you. {{{{HUGS}}}}
