PhotoShopped? I've never heard, or seen that either! I'm from Cincinnati originally, there were lots of cardinals there.

Hahaha Spookiesmom, tell us what you really think! I thought it was only me, so glad there is someone else who agrees!

Sgc, I have never seen one of those birds before, that's the weirdest pattern I have ever seen.

I prefer snow to grey cloudy rainy days. Gas heat and duvets from Ireland make it bearable. No fireplace here but I love them. Would probably be aggravated with the mess.

Dog hair annoys me now. Didn't before. She's been bathed and furminated plus I have a furminator. Maybe it's just the lack of carpet? Or maybe I'm just anal now.

BG asked to go poop in Walmart and did! Not sure if I should push potty training as she's going to have surgery. They really worry about dehydration.

Heard they give liquid lortab. Poor baby. Boy chewing prednisone. Directions: crush in chocolate pudding.

Zills, what surgery is BG having? Is it tonsils out? Behind in reading (and remembering ) GD had her's out last year as she was sick so much and it sure has helped. When is it? Hey, you are not anal, you have been through the wringer and came out a winner! You are amazing for all you do. Don't like gray cloudy days either . I do get very tired of snow after awhile too, no one is happier to see spring than me, we have long winters as you know.

Interesting pic of a cardinal, wonder if Spookiesmom is right about Photoshop ? Love cardinals too. We fed one all winter years back and they are not supposed to be this far west, but he was a bright spot in that winter! Also think I have told you all on here that the morning my Dil died I was sitting outside around ds's patio when a beautiful cardinal appeared and just sang and sang on the branch of a near by tree. I took it as a sign that she was saying she was ok and free of cancer. I had not seen a cardinal for the two weeks I had been there .. Strange things happen that we can't explain, or else that is what I want to believe .

This is what a male Cardinal is supposed to look like. The females are drab in color. image

I don't think it's photoshopped. But I've never seen one either. I forget what it's called.

Hopefully tonsils and adenoids. See ENT next week. Both pcps agree need both. This ENT is old school and should do both. Other ENT in town doesn't.

    I believe too ND.

the cardinal, although rare, is a gynadronma or something close to that spelling. Supposedly real, like when a person has both male and female parts. Didn't think it could hapen with birds!

The new puppy is kicking our butts! We are both so tired! That being said, it really is making a difference with DH's depression. At least he is now sleeping because he is tired! Lol. He really is laughing and sming more. MIL thanked me for getting it for him. She said the whole family could see a difference in him! (I can't attend the family gatherings because my SIL's 15 grands aren't immunized- their parents don't believe in it- and I am not willing to take a chance!)

Christmas was good-in a weird sort of way. Fist year I didn't have it at my house. DD1 and GD1 stayed Christmas Eve and them, DD2, and myself went to DS2's house Christmas Day. DH went to DS1's since DIL hasn't spoken to me since July. DS1 is actually my stepson and I really believe he and his wife prefer my not being around as his mother and her family are there and they can make believe they are one if happy family even thought DH and DS1's mother have been divorced for 34 years! Talk about putting the fun in dysfunctional! Lol DD2 asked if we could go back to having it here!

Well, the house is a wreck so I'd better run while this puppy is sleeping. I hope you are having a wonderful time with Bec, M. Also wishing all with kids that they don't drive you all crazy while home from school. Have a great holiday, Glennie. I hope everyone else gets some good weather and lots of relaxation time!

15 Grands NOT immunized???? OMFG!!!  I am irate!!  Ignorant people!!  I am so glad you do not go and expose yourself to that.

EDIT:   glad puppy is perking up your hubby!!   Sorry to sound so harsh, but that just makes me crazy.

What the hell with PB?? I am NOT giving up PB.. just not.

Spookie, tell us how you really feel about snow :)

ND, sounds so nice!! We haven't received any snow yet, just lots of rain and unseasonably warm weather... I'm sure our time is coming.. 3 more months of winter waiting :)

M, that's the exact thing I love about snow, when everything is coated in an undisturbed layer of snow and you walk on it and it makes that crunchy noise!! Love it! I don't like being cold either.. but I do love being snug in the house and watching it fall and how pretty everything is under a blanket of snow. If I were to move to an area that didn't snow, I would really miss it.

Joe was looking at the cards the other day and says... "We got a ton of cards this year... do I even know these people?". I just laughed... he does know about some of you as he'll ask me what I'm laughing about and I'll tell him.

Sgc, so glad the pup is getting hubby out of the doldrums, what a great idea on your part, but yes, I imagine he is a lot of work. I had to read your post 3 times due to all the DD'ing.. it was like a math equation!! wtf with DIL? I do recall you saying something in the past, but I don't recall what the issue was. She needs a bitchslap I think :) Did you enjoy not having it at your place?

ND, what a beautiful story about the cardinal.. I believe as well that it was a sign.. that brought tears to my eyes.

Zils, I am the same way with cat hair, it absolutely drives me up the wall, but not much I can do about it unless I want to have a vacuum cleaner permanently adhered to my side. I have area rugs in bedroom, living & dining and it does appear that the hair seems less invasive in those rooms, but only because it is nestled snugly in the fibers! I know BG is having tonsils out, but may have missed if you have an actual date for it. How is the boy feeling now?

There might be dual colored cardinals, but I personally think the one sgc posted was photoshopped.. it seems to perfectly bicolored... beautiful nonetheless.

I believe it is a sign too! A beautiful one!

I do love the look of a snow covered landscape, just don't make me walk in it! LOL

Sgc, I can imagine how much work that puppy is, but if it is bring some smiles to your Husband,it's got to be worth it! I had trouble keeping up with all the DD's too. LOL Glennie and Sgc, I am with you, no immunization, I am not sure what they are thinking.. I know it is a scary thing to have to give the babies injections, but look at the diseases that are beginning to appear again, because of this movement, to not immunize! Yes, I am loving having Bec here! OOh she's just asked me to go for a walk, so I will run and get ready before she changes her mind...M x

Back home last night. Out of 250 miles, 50 didn't have rain. We bought new wipers before we left. Best money we've ever spent. We had fun at DS's. The older grandchild will be 11 on Jan 8th. Hard to believe it's been that long. We had an adopter call about Goldie, but decided they want a younger cat. I was concerned they wouldn't have enough lap time for her with 3 other cats, so it's just as well. She would be perfect for a cat lover in a wheelchair. She will sit and sleep on my lap for hours.

Our weather is gray today and supposed to get colder over the next few days. Ski areas finally got some snow.

I love snow when it first falls because it's so beautiful. By day 3 I'm ready for the thaw because it's becoming a hassle. That's about how long snow lasts here.

M, Have you ever had your ears tested? DD used to complain about people screeching their forks on their plates - to the point of moving in a restaurant. We had our hearing tested and she could hear 2 octaves (or whatever they're called) higher than the rest of us.

I don't think PB gives you BC. The pesticides might contribute, but organic peanuts are available. Did you read about the arsenic in rice? And worse in brown rice? We can't win for losing.

omg Arsenic in rice?? What for, I wonder. Sorry for your long and gloomy ride.. we've had a lack of sun as well. Would you be able to give Goldie up at this point.. you've had her quite awhile.

Enjoy your walk M, glad Bec is up and at em!

My rule is that the cat has to go to a better home than mine. She would be perfectly happy in a small space with a loving person. I would miss her although I'm starting to wonder if I'm developing an allergy. Her hair is med-long and she sheds on our pillows. Noticed more coughing this morning than at DS.

OMG! Sleep when the puppy sleeps!

I think it's a sign too, ND, you are just the sweetest. Love that pic of that Victor/Victoria cardinal! Why shouldn't it be real? I am going to go with 'yes.'

I would miss Goldie! And Idesim, I am hoping for a Kin update. Did he ever come inside?

DP, yes, it's an emjoi micropedi! Oh, I have wanted one for ages! I now have the sexy feet of a baby's bottom (?). Really I love that thing, I have got to be careful not to micropedi my feet down to stumps!

Hmmm. It's all about Perricone for us, right, DP? As I said, I am taping it. I will watch the one of my choosing.

In other news, it has been determined, as you know, that I will soon have the torso of a Bond girl. Not DP's Bond. Sean Connery, I think. So I think I should start thinking up my Bond girl name. Right away 'McTitties' popped into my head. But I am sure someone is going to come up with something better.

SGC -- agree with Idesim about the DS and DDs -- I felt like I wasn't smart enough to read your post! -- but was happy that someone else has a complicated family situation! XXX

You crack me up Bobo, not smart enough to read that post! Haha, I was going back and forth, myself, trying to get it straight!

Trying to think up a Bond name for you after your Brazilian, it could have been "Pussy, No More" or how about "Brava Extravaganza"

Googling Emjoy Micropedi, I have an Emjoy Gold hair remover, which should have been called "WTF that hurts, like shit!" Nothing gold about it, other than the money Emjoy is slogging away, selling these torture implements.

Laughing M! Reading your post to DLLP. They say those hair removers don't hurt! This is a foot sander.

My Bond name can def not have the word 'Brava' in it. I must rise above the image of my bruised and patchy vagina if I am going to get to be a Bond girl!

Sorry it was hard to follow all my DD's and DS's. Imagine being not quite 7 and your teacher says you have to map out your family tree..... Her's included:

2 half sisters, 1 half brother

    3 stepsisters, 1stepbrother

    2 stepsisters once removed

    1 half sister's half brother

    1 stepbrother's 2 half brothers

Of course she also included grands, aunts and uncles, and parents. The "tree" looked like half of Virginia Beach was included! And she could keep them all straight! Lol

The rift with DIL (DS1's wife) was due to Ryan biting their dog because their dog wouldn't stop messing with her and then rushed DD in a threatening manner. Both dogs have Pittie in them, neither is vicious, but DD's dog wouldn't let go of their dogs ear. We had to pry her away. So we decided to keep them separated, but DIL would allow her dog run of my house while Ryan was locked up. DD asked DIL to move her dogs food as previously asked. DIL refused and then proceeded to cuss her out, get in my face and tell me that my daughter was an a-hole, etc. DIL went into a tirade about how she always hated my DD and was leaving. (We were doing them a favor having them here until they could move into their new home.) they rented a town home for the month they were going to stay here. She hasn't spoken to me since and tries to act like she's clueless around my DH. Basically, she's nuts and a very toxic person. No support from DH as he "wasn't there".

I would have had Christmas at my house, as usual, but DS2 moved into a new house and has the new baby so he said he wanted to do it this year...I don't think his wife was thrilled as she had time slots for her 2 sets of parents and I was thrown into the mix. Oh well, I'm sure she got over it. At least DD1 didn't bring her new girlfriend. That is another long post for another time.

Yes, we are an American family! Sorry this was so long. For those who suffer from insomnia, I hope I have helped put you to sleep!

omg M, I too had a "WTF that hurts, like shit!" too.. I found the same with waxing as well.. screw that... shaving isn't that bad at all. Did you find the Miropedi and more importantly, did you buy it?

I'm laughing over the Brava veto and the reasons why. I'll have to think on a good bond girl name.

sgc, that really IS quite the family tree. That's quite an extreme reaction to being asked to move dog food, probably for the best that she doesn't talk to you, she sounds like a nasty piece of work. She's lucky she didn't get slapped silly acting like that.

Those hair removeal things are awful. I know the Pedi thing won't hurt, but I just couldn't decide which one to get, there is a ton of different models with different strengths of sandpaper I will wait for Bobo to advise.

You're really good at names for things...you will find the Bond name for Bobo!

That is a family tree Sgc, glad your Daughter has got it straight! Bec has a big family on her Father's side. She can keep it in order too! I am lost as soon as we go past a cousin! :)

In a counseling class they asked us to do a family tree and then circle the important people in our lives. Boy was that a strange circle. I had so many grandmothers I called them by their last names: 2 GM Brown (1 was really Mom), GM Taylor, GM Koepplin, GM Dudley (All these are on my mother's side). I never lived with my father and never met his mother, but it would be 6 GM counting her. My mother's brother was only 15yrs older than me. When I was little he was my uncle, but after I was grown we called each other brother and sister. When we visited relatives, they would sit around and discuss how I was related to everyone. Everyone married at least twice and all the women stayed friendly. I've forgotten the hierarchy now.

I'm counting on someone to come up with a good Bond name for Bobo. I'm not good at that, so will defer to others.

She tiptoes quietly into the room, the yells HEY I've missed you all so much!

First Thank you for the cards, I'm sorry I'm so lax in replying. I am alive, well, and as of yet haven't maimed, or murdered any friends, or foes, yes I'm still struggling with Femara and detesting each day of it.

The family is fine, a little screwy, a bit of drama, but I guess that's normal. I now have my own communication device so hopefully I will pop in more often, for now I'm going to try to read a bit and see what I've missed!
