Wren. We use regular human fingernail clippers to just tip the edge of her claws. Much easier than trimming a dog.

Ariom. Was beginning to get worried about you. Did you over do it?

Idesim. Thanks for letting us know you're ok.

GrammaB. I'm impressed. Driving and wrestling trash. Hope the claw didn't come out. Those "hotdogs" under arms are affectionately known (I believe) as dog ears. You're close! The swelling will go down but allow you room to stretch your arm. They are annoying. Watch your salt and getting the bandage off will help.

I know Ndgirl has her list ready for tomorrow. Granwe do you have yours? Is the OG up to lugging us around? Whose appt is first? Yours? His? DD? What fruit is it this week? Orange?

I'm waiting on the purple pill to work its magic then get everyone up on time today. Slept late yesterday. Digestive system was a wreck. Have JS today to get it straightened out. Don't know how I'd manage without it.

    Hi everyone!

No Zills, I haven't overdone it, in fact really enjoyed this day! I just didn't have time to sit and go through all the posts and answer as usual.

I did think about everyone, and hoped you'd all be sleeping soundly.

    I am ready for tomorrow!

ldesim, I hope you're OK, and not too busy at work.

gB, Zills is right about the Hotdogs being Dog Ears. I have one, which started off really quite big, but has gotten smaller, and smaller as the swelling has disipated over the last 7 or 8 months. I took it up with my Surgeon last visit, and found that it can be removed if really causing issues. My surgeon explained that these appendages are left behind after the Mx, because they don't want to pull it too tight and possibly affect range of motion. It has actually always been there as has the slight bulge in my armpit, but the weight of the breast used to pull it forward and down. I really don't like it, but I decided to see how it goes through this Summer, when I am wearing sleeveless tops etc, and if it continues to bother me, I'll look at having it removed. I hope yours don't become an issue for you.

Zills, I hope your Purple Pill kicked in....Cht later M x

Just read through the posts, so glad to see that Gramwe has had a sound sleep. Wren, your kitty has quite a regime for waking you! Our Dex is an eyelash scanner. He isn't allowed on the bed till it is daylight outside. He gently sniffs our eyelashes without touching them. As soon as one of us moves Dex lies across our chest and stares into our eyes!

gB. grooming is the one thing that Dex enjoys. He hates a bath, and hates having his feet   touched, so nail clipping is out of the question. He will just sit, or lie back and let me use  the clippers and scissors. He looks pretty cute, except for the feet LOL i didn't get a chance to take a photo to post. Maybe tomorrow.

I have never had cats, Bec was too allergic, but every time I go anywhere with cats, they have to sit on me and do that massaging thing they do, with just a bit of claw!

Bobo, How is it with the children away? I hope you got all prepped and still had time for a nice dinner and maybe a walk?

I understand your quiet time inthe middle of the night. I used to do that when Bec was small.

Having trouble saying awake, don't want to miss the "sleep window" so Colin is going to have an early night. Chat tomorrow....M x

Hey y'all. Waiting on the sun to rise, if it will be seen through the fog. No I haven't been up all night, in fact I slept great just woke up early. I was wrong, that happens very often, the MO office called yesterday to confirm my appointment for today. Eeekkkk. I even had it on my calendar for tomorrow, but it will work out better, since DD has OB and OG has surgeon tomorrow. So its labs at 10, MO at 10:30, pack a brunch.

We should have known that Dex would turn out as handsome as ever, he couldn't look shabby floating around the manor with his mum. : ) M, I think it's so neat that while we are winding down summer you are gearing up for spring. We are pulling up spent flowers, while you are getting ready to plant. I'll send you my sleeveless tops, after the great foob escape I may never wear one again.

Zills, hope your purple pill has kicked in, and the kids are getting ready for their day. School starts here tomorrow, my DGS is thrilled to be a big 2nd grader. Oh wow it just hit me that I wont be in the car line this year, woohoo, glad his mom has taken over that chore.

Oh Bobo, House of Cards, I loved it, will be glad when there are new episodes. Remember when the main character, can't think of his name, had to go to his hometown in SC, because someone had an accident while viewing the giant peach water tower? That giant peach is in Gaffney, SC about 45 minutes from me, it sits right beside the interstate, and is the most obscene sight I've ever seen. It looks like a giant, rosy red butt, with a hemmoroid, hanging out its crack. I've often imagined the conversations that take place in travelers cars as the come upon that thing. Lol. Whoever came up with that design had a sick sense of humor.

Wren, thanks for sharing how to make a morning cat go away. I have one that tramples across my head at least twice per night, when hes inside. He doesn't want anything, just wants to enjoy my pillow without my head.

Gb, driving? Geeze super woman, I didn't attempt driving for weeks! Be careful you don't want to pull anything. So glad that you are doing so well. When does your son arrive?

Suns on. Time to start this day. Hugs

Wren, your cat sounds sort of like Spookie. Who will first put her nose in my ear. Then a paw tap on my shoulder. Then a small jump on my arm, both paws. And if none of that works, she lays by my head and sniffs my hair, loudly!

Got my BRCA1 & 2 results today. No mutation found for either!! So I'm BRCA 1- and BRCA 2-?? Is that how it is written? I thought I added it to my signature, but it doesn't show.

Day 7 post surgery. I hesitantly drove myself to the Post Office to check my mail. It is a 14 mile round trip, all in town. Still a slight range of motion issue looking to the left, but not too bad all in all. I may have to drive myself to BS on Thursday. I haven't heard back from my friend about a ride yet. I worry about it though as it is about a 60-65 mile round trip on the freeway mostly. If BS takes out drains and/or ace, I'm worried how much it will take out of me...... I may just have to tough it out!!

Zills, hope the purple pill worked! I thought the dog ears were the flap on the outer edge of the boob downward under arm where it edges with the back, guess I was wrong.... Hopefully they will be a lot better when ace comes off. Right now they are pretty tender.

My BS is on vacation until the day of my appointment so home health could'nt get a revision to orders to give me the binder. They will come out Mon, Tues, & Wed, to help me rewrap. W/out the wrap, I can shower on my own just fine.

Ariom, glad the grooming went well! My cat wants no part of me grooming him short of some combing/brushing each day, in amounts of time he determines!!

Speaking of him, he gets this recurring Rodent Virus about 3 times a year. It hits either his mouth or sometimes his paw/s. For some reason it usually hits when I am getting ready to travel either to visit my kids or on business (once a year). The Vet says its reoccurrence is probably due to stress. I have been praying he won't have an outbreak while I am going through this. Sadly last night I noticed the first signs on his mouth. :(( He is so tough a kitty to medicate, we just go straight to the end rush of a couple of shots that clean it up in about a week. He is a big boy and I can't even pick him up yet, let alone catch him and get him in his crate and to the vet..... I spoke to the Vet and she will come here Friday AM. I just hope I can trick him into the bathroom early in the morning or he will be in deep hiding, never to be seen the rest of the day!! Wren, I would really need a cat whisperer if that happens!!

Gramwe, oops sorry about the appt mixup, but it sounds like it worked put better anyway. We're a flexible group, I know I hopped in when I read your post earlier...others probably did too. :)

hey gramwe! I slept through your appointment! Did we have an OK time?

Yes, I must say that our Dex looks pretty good. I had a slight clipper accident on his right ear. I watched some YouTube demos, just to familiarise myself with the technique. You hold the ear on the flat of your hand and take the comb straight down, well Dex turned his head and the clipper quickly removed the lovely feathery fan, on the end of his ear, fortunately no injury! Then it meant I had to create the same look on the other side, and I think I have nailed it. It's a tad "FifiTrixiebelle", but hey, it was my first go at it, and everyone who has seen him is impressed so far.

I have had the odd migrating foob accident too gramwe, isn't it just mortifying? but mine always went up and under my chin! I rarely have a foob that isn't inside a mx pocket these days. I'll take your lead and always have a pocket if I am wearing sleeveless tops.

OMG gramwe, I love the internet! I just googled that water tower, it's hysterical, just as you described. What is it with GIANT stuff. We have it too, The Big Banana in Coffs Harbour, and the Big Pineapple in Queensland somewhere. There are BIG things all over the countryside, I don't really get it!

I'm there for tomorrow, waiting to hear what kind of fruit our baby is this time!!!!!! Hoping the OG gets a good report too! Take care M x

Hi Spookiesmom, I guess all the cat owners have a similar wakeup. Your hair sniffer is like Dex with the eyelashes.

    How have you been doing?

gB, I am thrilled you aren't carrying the , I think it is BRCA1/2.

I think both Zills and I are talking about the tags at the rear of the breast, behind the armpit. Now I'm confused about where you're talking about.

So sorry your cat is getting that virus again. I sure hope you can get him where you want him for his injection.

I am all kinds of impressed at your wonderful recovery so far, but i am really worried at the possibility of such a long drive for you. I know there are volunteers who do the driving for patients, I have read about it on this forum. We have it here too. Can you at least look into that if your friend isn't available? It isn't that I doubt your ability, not at all, but that abject tiredness can hit you at any time, and if you're driving in the sun, it would freak me out. I know I was told I couldn't drive alone till I could take a decent hit in the chest from the seatbelt. That's without the "I feel a nap coming on..... thud!" I didn't drive for 3 weeks.  You get what I mean!!

Two episodes left till the Finale of Dexter, I have a theory, but of course won't spoil it for anyone. I will miss that show. I love it! I have looked for the possibility of the off shoot that ldesim told us about, but haven't found much more on it.

    Take care gB! M x

Okay.  So Granwe surprised us!  Her MO surprised us.  Apologies if  I didn't have my beer on properly.  I may have been completely sober and obedient through this one, but not by choice.  How did it go?  And are OG and DD tomorrow still?  Standing by for all appointments.  We've got quite a few this week.  Spookie, your Spookie sounds adorable, and Ariom, love all that eyelash-sniffing.  I love all that sort of thing.

Well, it's fine with the children gone -- I have so much work to do, start my lectureship at the college tomorrow -- but I do miss them.  And my family is so ridiculously... strangely anti-feminist (?) and unsupportive (from my experience) that sometimes I worry about them spending time with my children.  But.. it's all sunshine and rainbows over there.  My mother is making my recipes, the kids are swimming, they will go to the orchard of a family friend, to my aunt's horse farm, etc.  I want it to be over with, though.  I especially miss the baby.  Z, how was the first day of school?

Granwe, I'm going to google your peach!  Isn't that an excellent show?  Gb, you should definitely watch it on Netflix.  I'm going to watch Dexter from the beginning -- love the idea of our Dexter with puffy show-horse paws -- so don't give it away!  Ariom, love the idea of morning tea.  You're going to be super-mad at me, every man Jack of you, but I didn't eat anything today until dinner.  I'm having an extra protein shake tonight.

Idesim, do you know how many calories you're burning on the bike?  I'm going to help.  I'm going to be your personal trainer!  I am kidding.  DLLP hates when I do that.  She rides her bike, then takes a cookie, and I say, There goes your bike ride!  Wait -- another cookie -- now you're behind a bike ride! She hates that so much.  What's on the coffee table?

Standing by for appointments roster.  Ooh!  Ariom, I googled Kathleen Hanna.  She was the lead singer of Bikini Kill!  That is such a compliment!  I knew them (the music) in my college days, but didn't know the names of the players.  Oooh!  Tell Bec thank you so much!  XXX

Let me start off by saying, I never have brushed a cat's teeth, that was my vet's suggestion.. which must been during the time she was smoking crack.  I already knew that the chances of that being done were minimal.  I wish I wasn't such a wuss and could clip nails... but it is just too terrifying for me... Harley is double pawed front and back and needs to go in every 3 months or the claw on his back double paw will grow into his foot.  It's a pain in the rear because he hates the vet so much that he hyperventilates and his ears and nose turn bright pink and I just feel horrible.  We got the clippers, and attempted to do it, but that's just as traumatic. Zills, you'll just have to come every 3 months!

I used to have a cat that would headbutt my head and face until I got up.. really annoying.. luckily the two I have now don't really do anything but hover.

Glad to hear you got some sleep Granwe, I hope that Ndgirl did as well.

I am not surprised at all that GrammaB is doing so well, but am still so happy to hear it.

I don't have the dog ear you guys talk about, everything appears to be pretty smooth.

House of Cards is a political drama, isn't it? I may just have to check out Dexter, but we really don't watch much tv and our fav show Sons of Anarchy is coming back on shortly!

I too looked up the giant peach and it is horrifying.. here is a quote from the site I saw it at.... "Peachoid Water Tower, Gaffney, South Carolina, It's rumored that in the early '90's, civic authorities ordered the Peachoid water tower repainted so it would look less like a big butt -- reducing rubbernecking fatalities on nearby I-85. It may be safer today, but from the right angle, the one-million gallon watersphere STILL looks like a bright orange butt."

Zills, I hope your JS worked and your down day is now behind you.

GrammaB, never heard of the rodent virus, but of course this would be the time for everything and anything to happen according to Murphy's Law!

Dex still has his Rod Stewart hair doesn't he?

Granwe, you're welcome, I drugged Bobogirl to keep her in line during the appt.. nice and quiet wasn't it? Perhaps we can all get lucky and it will last through Ndgirl's appt.

I think pasta tonight on the coffeetable, but I'm not very hungry.

Bobogirl, I hope you are eating!

I don't quite know how to explain my "hot dogs" ;)  Think ace bandage wrapped tightly around chest.  At the top the flesh buldges over, in front and especially under my arms.  It is directly under my arm pits across the top of the ace.  It is a roll, like a hot dog, is as best as I can describe it.  It runs horizontally, parallel to the ace bandage, not up and down like the flap. Think the letter T, where the top of the t is my "hot dog" and the stem is the tags to the rear of the breast you are talking about I think.  Does that make any better sense?

Okay, nd girl, when is your appointment?  I do not have it all straight for tomorrow.  You can say that again.

I was wondering why I have a headache tonight!  Apparently our idesim slipped me a mickey.  Why did it not last three days?  I could really use three days completely unconscious.  Why are you not hungry?  F-ing Herceptin?  Or overwork at the law firm?  Or the heat?  It's a billion degrees here right now.

Gramwe, are you near Hilton Head?

I must have dog ears wrong. I have the hot dog and it does move with my arm. Its really noticeable with sleeveless shirts. The swelling does go down:) watch your salt.

My back flaps seem to be related to fluid buildup. Massaging helps those.

I've heard of mini boobs or man boobs. I figured those were the end of my incisions. I think they will flatten with time but not sure if BS left them in case of recon. I was happy flat but DH not sure initially but doesn't seem to mind. I think it was too many decisions, too fast and to much to absorb. I'm not interested in any more surgeries. I hate feeling sick to my stomach!!!!

Okay I peed my pants a little when you guys looked at "The Peachoid" and saw the gosh awful thing. It's too funny. Thank goodness "I ain't from Gaffney"

Bobo I am 3 or 4 hours from Hilton Head. I'm in the NW corner of SC.. I can be in the mountains of NC in less than an hour, in Atlanta in 2 hours, look up Greenville SC that's where I do all my doctor visits.

Speaking of my dear MO, he raised one eyebrow when I told him I was taking 1/2 a F-ing Femara. He asked me to change to Arimrdex, I refused, he asked me to take a whole Femara, I refused. I asked him to study the benefits/risk of 1/2 a Femara and get back to me. He smiled! Then said 1/2 is better than none. Go on take what you can, and come back to see me the end of November! Am I doing right, I don't know, but I'm doing the best I can do and still have a quality life. Will I regret it, maybe one day, but for today I'm okay with MY decision. Tomorrow on surgeon. OG says to Thank y'all for being with us and for not flopping around in the purse.

    Hugs. Going for sleep now.

I believe you are doing the right thing. I know some that do none. What good is it if you can't enjoy life? You did try it. Maybe since you are more sensitive than the std protocol you'll get as much benefit or more. Don't beat yourself up. Thank OG for carting us around gently. Waiting for his and DD's update tomorrow.

And yes it would be terrible to be from the giant peach butt. What would be worse if it was your concept! Can you just imagine his epitaph? Here lies the guy that designed the giant peach butt in the sky. It has to be a guy.

Hope Ndgirl is able to sleep before her appt.

This being awake in the middle of the night sucks. I typically can't sleep well during a full moon anyway. DH came home from working and gossiping and woke me up after about an hours sleep. Power nap. Not sure if a snack would help. I hate my stomach.

While DH was gone I was throwing up. Boy supposed to be in bed. He came running down the hall. Rubs my back and says it will be alright mommy. Then he wants to know what it tastes like. Yucky didn't satisfy him. I finally said acid. Then he told me my breathe stank. Love the truth. I thought he was rubbing my back again but he said he was squeezing it all out. He's something else. Still makes me laugh to think about it

Oh Zills, I love that boy of yours. What a gesture, but the good deeds never come without the inevitable questions! What does barf tase like? Hmm, I don't think I have an answer for that one!

I am so sorry you're stomach is giving you he11 again. Good grief, getting woken after an hour of sleep is just the pits. It is enough to get deep asleep, and then too awake to fall back again.

Interesting that you are affected by the full moon. You'd likely be affected by the tides too.

I can see we will have to post photos of these darn dog ear, hot dog things. I am warning you, mine is not pretty! All I know is that it is a shadow of its former self, so they do get better. I think If I could drop a few more pounds, it may just become flat!

Speaking of salt Zills, I am not a huge fan, only add to a very few foods. My Mother was the worst salt addict, her food always sparkled like a crystal cave. Anyway, I bought some Hymalayan Pink Rock salt from the Health Food shop the other day for my grinder. It isn't anywhere near as "Salty" as the usual rock salt....how weird, I don't know why. I know, I know, I am such a consumer, but I also have one of the rock salt lamps in Becs room, and I love it.

I am with you, regarding gramwe and the F Femara. I think taking half, is so much better than none. I did a similar thing, not for a moment am I comparing the two, but I had to take Methotrexate, which is a chemo drug for the Rheumatoid. I hated it with a passion, because it made me so sick, I only took the tablets once, and threw up for 48 hours. My specialist decided that I should inject it once a week, so he reduced the dose, and taught me how to do the injection myself. For almost 7 looooooong years, I shot myself up with this poison, every F Tuesday. I would feel lousy for a few days, and then just as I got on top of it, it was time for another dose. I begged to stop taking  it, he finally allowed me to stop and increase my steroids. I noticed nothing change with the RA, except "I" felt much better without it.  He was happy that I had given it a good go.

I think that's the best you can do gramwe. Give it your best!

HaHa Gramwe, that big Peach thingy is bad news, glad I am not from Gaffney, gotta laugh I come from Paynesville....Paaaaaaynesville, why is such a lovely place named after Capt Payne. Not like he was actually first to see it or anything! The Aborigines called it "Toonalook" so much nicer than F Paynesville. At least we don't have  a giant anything to be embarrassed about!

The whole Peach thing is big in the South. When we stayed in Atlanta everything was Peach related too, on Peachtree was where we stayed.

ndgirl, I sure hope you're sleeping well!

    Posting!

Bobo, now you've just given me an idea, ldesim can slip you a mickey, and I will force feed you! You'll never know that you've had a fantastic three course meal!

ldesim, you kill me! I love the quote about the rubbernecking accidents at the big Peach, how hysterical. I can imagine thump, thump, thump rear ending each other as they strain to see it "Hey Marje, check out the big colorful butt over there, ain't that gorgeous!"

I know, I have seen the same at the Big Banana! I have a photo somewhere of me checking out the big banana, can't quite remember why! LOL

ldesim, I love pasta, maybe I'll have that tonight too!

Dex is just a shorter version, but definitely has a touch of the Rod Stewarts!

Bobo, I can't wait to tell Bec you were happy to be compared to Ms Hanna, Bec thinks she's stunning! and that you knew of her, even if it was some time ago.

Just you watch yourself Missie, ldesim and I are going to make sure you get some good nutrition, like it or not. You'll discover our plan when the fabulous Eileen Fisher stuff feels a tad tight......hahahahahah, evil laugh inserted!!!!!!!!

I hope I haven't missed anyone, I am going to take a shot of Dex to see if Colin can put it on for you to see him in all his cuteness!

    Take care...M x

Gramwe, we all have to make the decisions that we are most comfortable with.  It may not be what the dr wants, but in the end, it is our life, and qol is so important.  Some decisions can be revised over time, we each do what works for us.

Idesim, thanks I sometimes surprise myself at how well I feel. And maybe overextend in the process.

The vet is coming even earlier Friday, 9AM.  Argghhh I am not a morning person, and to have to corral the cat that early will be a challenge.  I haven't been able to pick him up at all yet.  Here is a snippet about the "Rodent Virus/Ulcer":

The exact cause of rodent ulcer is unknown, and there is actually no direct connection with rodents. The presence of eosinophils suggests an allergic reaction, parasite problem, or immune problem. It is thought to be part of the eosinophilic granuloma complex.

Poor guy has attacks about 3 times a year.

    Ariom, Dex is awesome/gorgeous/sweet.....

Okay, wait.  Just jumped on to see the results of the appts, and there's nothing!  I'm having  a beer -- I've been sitting in purses all day, and now, no results?  Today at nd girl's I decided to poke our Idesim -- poke, poke -- hoping that she would blow her cool and yell at me, thus disturbing the appt.  But she never cracked, even though I have an extremely pointy poke finger.

Force feeding sounds good.  Can I have a three-day pass of mickeys and force feeding? Many balls in air.  First day of lectureship today.  My theme for my outfit -- invented by DLLP -- is 'Sprockets' (Saturday Night Live sketch about East German talk show)!

Good Morning, very quiet here, where is everyone?

gB, will sardines lure the kitty to the bathroom, or are they too clever for that? A crumb on my finger will get Dex to do anything I want! But, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I love him!

Isn't it just amazing how well you feel gB. I constantly amazed myself. I have no idea what it was, maybe just getting it overwith was all it took to feel that relieved. I will be very interested to see how you feel going forward.

Bobo, my "New Job" girl, Sprockets??? I ned more info!

Now, if you knew when it was coming, it wouldn't be any fun! ldesim and I will be waiting to see if you are looking after yourself, if not, we strike!

Wishing you all the best for today! You'll be wonderful, and I want a report when it is over, we all do!

I had a heart jump at the Opp shop yesterday. I thought I had a perfect outfit for the princess, but alas the skirt was way too big and an impossible alteration job. I spoke at length with a woman who is a sewer and she talked me out of it. It was bronze and sage shot silk, very gorgeous, but just too big. Onward and upward, still trying for something beautiful!

    Take care everyone! M x

I'm sure Granwe is cooking dinner for the orange, maybe?

Ndgirl is two hours behind us? Not sure how far she had to travel.

But yes I'm anxious for updates too

GrammaB. Did you get a ride?

    That outfit sounds gorgeous.

Bobo. Do you like peanut butter or any nut butters or sunflower butter? It's quick and portable. You could eat and drive. Once upon a time, a long time ago, when I was skinny and my blood sugar dropped, peanut butter and pickle sandwiches were my mainstay. Sounds gross but I had been eating them since I was 9. No chance of being pregnant then! Washed it down with chocolate milk. Maybe next week after you have some school under your belt and the kids return, you'll eat more.

Airom, I only wish it would be that easy to lure my kitty.  He has a sixth sense, he knows when I am trying to catch him and runs and hides. I'll have one chance to get him.  Every morning, part of his routine is to jump up on the counter in that bathroom and wait for me to brush him a little and then turn the faucet on to a thin trickle which he drinks from.  I then fill his little water bowl on the counter.  Then he gets some petting.  I am going to have to be smooth and get the doors closed while he drinks.  If I could pick him up, it could be easier, but he weighs around 13 # and I haven't even tried yet.  Plus when he is struggling he is all claws and I don't want him clawing my chest. Sigh.....

bobo, looking forward to hearing about your day!

Zills, yes, my friend is going to take me.  I just don't think I could make the whole round trip yet.  The visiting nurse was not thrilled to hear I had driven to the PO w/out dr release.  My understanding was I could drive by a week, as long as I wasn't taking any narcotics.  The dr expected me to drive to appt tomorrow so I didn't see a problem.

The air here is so bad, thick with smoke from the fires burning nearby.  This happens almost every summer.  It is really unpleasant to go outside, sad because w/out the smoke, this would have been a beautiful day!

What a day! Started with an impromptu breakfast for 6, me, OG, DS1, his woman, DD, and the genius/aka baby daddy. DD had an odd appointment card for her OB appointment, it read 8/21/13 @ 01:30am..she called for 2 days in an attempt to confirm the correct time, each time she reached a recording, left a message but was never called back. This morning at 9:05am she reached a human, she was told her appointment was at 9:30am IF she was more than 15 minutes late she would not be seen, she lives 40 minutes from the office with light traffic. In route to the appointment, genius ran out of gas! She went to the appointment anyway and they did see her, after a call from her screaming mother :) The baby is fine, they heard the heartbeat, but didn't do an ultrasound so we don't know the sex. : ( Her OB did a call with her orthopedic surgeon they don't believe her pelvis will be a problem, but only time will tell. Her uterus has moved somewhat, but still is in an odd position, only time will tell if it will move into a position suitable for natural birth. After I fed the troops it was off to the OGs appointment with the surgeon. The sky was black and green, lightening was popping everywhere, rain was coming down in buckets, roads were flooded and accidents were happening everywhere! We were given 3 choices, continue with therapy for many more months, fuse the middle finger, or amputation. We chose therapy! He can go back to work 2 days per week, with 2 pages of restrictions, even so hes going to try it on Monday. So the hamster wheel will continue. That's my update.

Nd where are you? I'm fretting

Zills your sweet son story made me laugh and cry!

Looking once more for Nd and then laying my hurting head on a pillow.

    Hugs

GrammaB, what state are you in? There's so many fires this summer. Several here in Washington, some down in Oregon, Sun Valley, and I think in Montana.

Wren, I'm in Montana, yep we have fires!  The Lolo Complex fires are about 15-20 miles away as the crow flies.  Every summer we seem to be choked with smoke from fires here or in Idaho.

Before I moved to MT, I lived in the Sierras in CA in the Stanislaus Forest.  Summers were often the same there with fires there and smoke from fires in the Yosemite area.

I had a scare this evening.  After the nurses have come, I have been wearing an old hoodie with sleeves and hood cut off, turned inside out so drains slip into pockest.  It is a good break from the camis while I am washing them.  So tonight I am changing back to the cami and I reach into the pocket of the hoodie to pull out one of the drains.  I give it a little tug and the tubing pops off the bulb!! Yikes! I pinched it and got some alcohol wipes and wiped all the ends and edges.  I slipped the tube back on and opened the bulb, then pinched it closed to reinstate suction. Then I milked the tubing to take any possible contaminate out of the tube into the bulb.  Freaked me out!  I sure hope I am done with these drains tomorrow!!
