Magiclight, hugs.

Loverof...I am now the mom of a young spunky poodle. I will take those hugs because he has been with a trainer for 3 weeks learning to pick up items if I cannot reach them. Fortunately, the trainers have unending patience in getting him to hold all kinds of items long enough for true retrieval. I really thought he would learn that quickly because he loves to retrieve toys and balls. What is taking longer than I anticipated is that he needs to retrieve and hold the items every time. Seems he has a high play drive and is working on a stronger work ethic!!! Service dog training requires exceptional patience, perseverance and compassion for the animal being trained as s/he works to grasp the desired behavior. Then as with any teacher student relationship there is great joy when that light bulb goes on and s/he gets it. Obviously, I miss him greatly and will have a happy dance when he comes home.
This is him as a very young puppy

Awww look at that precious face....and those eyes. Hopefully, your little guy ( probably not so little any more) will learn his tasks soon so he can be home with his mama.

A stray pup came by to visit Dozer - gave him some food and water and hoped he would stay around until after work. Too fast to catch him.

cute little guy. Maybe he will come back.

I hope so - Dozer really liked him and they played for about 3 hours straight outside. Pup seemed to be an energizer bunny. Had to bring Dozer in he was so tired.

Hubby says he isn't attached to Dozer but look what he did on his way to work this morning. Had Dozer all bundled up on the sofa hahaha.

Don’t let him fool you, your hubby is attached to Dozer!

A big shout out and a hug to all the dog mums and dads.I've enjoyed looking at all the wonderful fur babies that love us unconditionally. This is my best friend Rose, she was a rescue dog with her own sad story, but she is happy now. We love to go shopping together for her doggy treats

On vacation in Isle of Palms, SC. Dogs are allowed "off leash" until 9 am and as I take my early morning beach walk, meeting so many lovely dogs and doing lots of therapeutic doggy petting. Will try to take some pics.

Hi ladies, enjoy your dogs. I am hoping to be a fur mommy again. Put my name on the list of the akc chihaha breeder. Shr says maybe later this month she will have a litter. Looking forward to lots cuddles! Tried to rescue, but didn't work out, just heartbroken over the dog we had to give back - was terrorizing us a little, bit all of us, poor thing lived on the streets and had to fend for herself.
My first dog was my baby, five pounds of pure love, blue akc chihuahua, cuddly, quiet and proud. Definitely had a connection. we had good 12 years and then she got gravely ill suddenly without warning and after I was so sad about her passing I found the cancer, couple of weeks later I was diagnosed.
Now that I have a new lease on life, I hope it's time for a dog, again.

The Mask of Zorro! (Loved Zorro as a little girl - Who else remembers the old TV series?) Friesians are wonderful horses. Have seen/petted at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington (about 1 hr away) - they have many breeds there and do a feature called "parade of breeds".
