Thank you for doing this Freya. Makes interesting reading. I was diagnosed at 59. Interesting what Lolis says above. I just scraped in to that bracket. I take your DH's point that older than 70 might not be on this site too much. But also people sometimes die from another disease before reaching that age, so that accounts for the fall off in numbers too.

An interesting exercise nonetheless. Keep those stats. Perhaps you could add them to another survey later on. There are often surveys and stats that others are interested in doing here.

Before I was dx I thought BC was a dx for over 50 (grandma died of BC at 54 but I am BRCA -ve) but I was so wrong.

That is what I thought too Lolis. In Australia the free screening mammograms start at 50, or did last time I checked. I had always been incredibly healthy, so gave no thought to having one sooner. I did do self breast exams every month though. I was 44 at dx, but my BS said the cancer was probably there for up to 10 years.

Dx at 29. Turning 30 in 2 months. Hopefully I can make it to 40 without recurrence and mets.

Diagnosed at 41 in June 2016. I went to four different medical professionals who all thought I had a minor skin issue before I saw a dermatologist who diagnosed paget's on my right breast. Based on an MRI, there was a small 6mm underlying mass

I was 66. In fact, I got the definitive diagnosis on my 66th birthday. Whoopee.

42, just diagnosed in Dec, 2016 after my yearly mammogram showed some calcifications that were "probably benign". Glad I had the stereotactic biopsy because it was not benign. Fortunate to have caught it early though.

34, found a lump doing my self breast exams. Had my GYN/Boss check it out. He thought probably a cyst since no family history and I'm young and healthy. Decided to recheck in 2 months. A week after that exam I decided to go ahead and get a diagnostic mammo which couldn't see the mass because of my dense breasts. But the imaging place said ultrasound next sense my lump was palpable and that's where they said Bi-Rad 4 Biopsy Recommended. Had biopsy next morning and found out I had breast cancer 4 days later.
