I was 32 when diagnosed; BRCA negative, no family history of BC, and no significant risk factors. I am 37 now.

I was DXed at age 44 with my first ever Mammo- I should have gotten one at age 40 but was scared of the mammo truck( for good reason) and because I was to shy that it could have killed me. Now I tell everyone its no big deal go get the mammo's, but I do recommend a breast center and not those trucks that come into rural hospitals.

Just curious, Ndgrrl, what is wrong with the mammography vans? My ILC was found by a technician in a mobile van (3-D) and I am grateful.

The mammo van found my cancer but I was told since you can not wait around to be called back in like at a breast center that the vans tend to use more pressure. I was bruised for about 4 weeks from our local mammo truck. She got a good picture. My surgeon was appalled and said that was unacceptable. I had heard rumors on how painful it was to get a Mammo and it was. They are scaring women away because of it. The breast center is far less painful. I was 44 when DXed
